Starbucks is by far, my worst addiction. I read in one of those frilly magazines that Starbucks puts the most caffeine in their drinks. This makes complete sense because I can’t stop myself from frequenting the horrible Starbucks connected to my job. The Starbucks in the Convention center is one of the worst I’ve been to. Usually Starbucks are pretty consistent. Usually, if you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all. Not this one! The coffee always seems watered down and their frappacino’s are often melted. The staff could also use some training in customer service. Whatever happened to service with a smile? How can it hurt to say you’re welcome after I’ve said thank you for my overpriced, poorly made, drink? Another point against them is that they don’t accept Starbucks cards. Since they’re owned by the Convention Center, they don’t have to abide by regular Starbucks rules. The most upsetting thing is that they close ridiculously early. I can never get a coffee when I pop into work on weekends because they close at 12. So why even bother going? Sadly, my addiction to caffeine leaves me with no other choice.

I don’t usually review starbucks because there are so many of them out there but I’ll have to make an exception for this one. This is quite possibly the worst starbucks I’ve ever patronized in my life. First of all, they don’t take starbucks card(?!). Second, the baristas move in half of normal human speed. I’m not surprised if they were stoned at that time. Granted, it was a busy day because there was fanime-con( ) going on at SJCC, and there are only 2 people working at the store. But making an iced latte where you pour a pre-made cold coffee and cold milk into a plastic cup could not take freaking half-an-hour! Seriously! The starbucks in SF financial district is 10 times busier but the line moves 10 times faster. So don’t give me that there’s only«one person working right now» crap. I was observing them and they just didn’t give a shit about making the customers wait. At least there were freaky cosplayers everywhere to look at, so I was kinda entertained while I waited… Hmm… that’s the fifth Yuna I’ve seen walk by today…
