Squires Fence & Deck

I had Squires do my huge fence 3 years ago. The quote was good, they came when they said, the installers did an excellent job. The fence still looks great. We also put in a gate so that our kids wouldn’t have to go around the block to play. That gate gets a lot of use and it is still in excellent shape. They also put in a gate that another company said couldn’t be done well. That other company was wrong!
It’s strange to read such bad reviews when we had such great service and very good fence.

Overall an excellent job and we are very happy with our new fence and gate. I found the process to be very smooth from getting an estimate, scheduling the appt, install, and completion.
We were recommended to Squires by other happy customers (family/​friends). The staff is very professional and knowledgeable along with competitive pricing. I had two other estimates and decided this was the best for the pricing, quality, trust, and experience. I want people that I can trust coming to my home and especially anytype of home improvement. I felt comfortable that the work would get done as promised and I observed the crew hard at work each day. Plus side, it is nice that the company works with your neighbors for collecting the bill once you both agreed on the proposal. I found the process smooth from beginning to end with a wonderful glowing fence to stare at.

They’re very friendly on the phone and when you visit them. They showed up on time as promised.
Unfortunately, they use poor quality construction material (rough, ugly stuff) that I myself wouldn’t use if you gave it to me for free. But you don’t find that out until it’s installed. Workmanship is somewhere between fair and marginal, with some sections better constructed than others. The fence appears to be sturdy, but the final appearance can only be described as ugly.
I was very disappointed, and I wouldn’t use them again.

Poor experience.
I woke up to a guy sleeping on my lawn — it was apparently one of the workers who showed up (was dropped off?) too early and promptly slept in front of my door.
Mediocre craftsmanship — we ended up apologizing to the neighbor who paid half. It works. it’s a fence. But my goodness there are many other companies to choose from.
