Really like this place but I only wish they would close at the time it’s said to close. Multiple times already I’ve gone and they close way earlier than their closing time. I’m just trying to look out for all those pregnant women and ladies with their period cravings.

I heard you are closing… NOOOOOOOOOOOO, say it ain’t so :(We love this place. With the cold weather I’m sure business is slow but I’m really sad to hear this news. This place was a little bit of home in my second home California.

This is my favorite place to go for shaved ice! Unlike the shaved ice places in Japantown, there’s plenty of seating inside, lots of parking, and it’s a great deal for the price. The icecream selection is awesome. Most shaved ice places only offer vanilla icecream but this place has tons of flavors!

Definitely worth a visit! Small shop with creative shaved ice creations. Service was quick and helpful; the boyfriend and I split a large funky monkey with mochi balls(instead of fudge) and it was the perfect portion, and only slightly more than $ 5! Will definitely return.

I really commend this place for its creativity. I came in thinking I was going to be eating a raspado type dessert, however, I was very mistaken. The Hawaiian ice here nicely melts in your mouth and most of the cashiers are super friendly and helpful if you need them. Their ice cream is also melt in your mouth consistency. I wasn’t sure if I was sold on their product though. I felt like I was really doing myself in for a future sweets stomach ache. I definitely recommend sharing if you plan on doing any of the ice’s that come with ice cream. Neither my partner of myself could bear to finish ours. Small seating area and a tiny seating area outside.

Walking into this place made me feel like I was back in Hawaii but the San Jose art décor was a nice touch to remind me I wasn’t. You can choose a simple shaved ice with 3 syrup choices($ 2.99 for a small which is 8oz or $ 3.99 for a large which is 16 oz) or you can choose to go deluxe with 3 syrups, 3 toppings, and a scoop of ice cream($ 4.99 for a small and 5.99 for a large). The shaved ice tasted just like the ones I had in Hawaii too, with the typical flavors like POG and coconut. Great place to go on a hot day!

Best Hawaiian Shaved Ice in the Bay Area. You can’t go wrong with this place. You can make your own with various flavors they offer and combination is endless. If you can’t make up your mind try their own creative creations from , Smoreos, Cotton Candy, Tropical breeze, AnneMaries Coco, 3pointer toTigers Blood. You will not be disspointed. If you want more flavor syrup, just ask for it. They are happy to pour more. Throw caution in the wind and you’ll not regret.

Great googly moogly. This place is amazing. From just the name, you would think this is another run-of-the-mill shaved ice place: some ice cubes run through a machine with some nasty sugary syrup poured on top. However, this place is a total gem. Since it was 102 degrees today, I found myself here on a recommendation. I got one of the pre-made specials which they call«shaved creations»: the Tropical Breeze. Kiwi and passion fruit are the syrups, and green tea ice cream lies beneath. I completed it with red azuki beans because they’re incredible. Wow – the shaved ice was granular enough where it was snowy as opposed to icy. It was flavorful without being artificial at all, and the entire dessert looked awesome in the blue flower tray. A spoonful of some passion fruit ice, some kiwi ice, some green tea ice cream, and some red bean made for an awesome and palatable experience that reminded me of some really awesome Asian shaved ice desserts I’ve had in the past. Every single bite, for me, was enjoyable, and that pretty much never happens with me and shaved ice. Ever. Additionally, the wall murals of this place is pretty cool if you’re from the Bay Area(and especially San Jose). There’s a bunch of San Jose Sharks, SF Giants, and other assorted images you’ll see around San Jose painted all over the walls, and it just seems like an enjoyable vibe all around – there were some families, an older guy getting some for the road, two girlfriends catching up in between errands, two high school girls reading some book for their English class. For such a bland name, Shaved Hawaiian Ice is anything but. Can’t wait to show my friends this place.

So hot today so had to cool off with some shaved ice. I was hoping they had li hing(sp?) syrup but settled for other flavors. Service was fast and we all enjoyed.

Surprisingly really terrific! They use the Hawaiian ice cream with the bearded fishermen logo! You know, the guy with the kangul cap! The shaved ice is not too heavy, slushy… it’s really just right! It’s not Jones Beach New York style but traditional Honolulu to me. I couldn’t help wondering if it will survive a cold winter! I hope so!

yum. it was hot day and we really wanted to treat ourselves so we decided to stop in and try out Shaved Hawaiian Ice. Plus that it’s close and it’s fairly new. There was a slight wait, as i’m sure everyone was trying to beat the heat. They have a good assortment of creative ice cream/shaved ice combos, but you could always go traditional and build your own or go with the simply shaved ice with syrup. I ordered the Tropical Breeze and it was yummy in my tummy. Green tea ice cream with guava, passion fruit and kiwi syrup, topped with snow cap(aka condensed milk). Small for about $ 5 but plenty to share… if you don’t eat a lot. The place is fairly small so if it’s a busy day than you probably won’t find seating but they do have a few tables outside. Staff is friendly and place looks clean so it’s one that i will definitely return to if i’m every hankering for a Hawaiian shaved ice.

I was actually looking for an Asian style shaved ice but all the places I normally go to were closed and I decided to give this place a shot even though it was Hawaiian style shaved ice and let me tell you, it’s pretty bomb and I’ll be definitely coming back. I have a major sweet tooth so I’m really happy to have found this place. I got the«tropical breeze» creation and thought the shaved ice portion was delicious. I wasn’t too big of a fan of the green tea ice cream at the bottom though(I’m a green tea fanatic so I’ve got some high standards) so I’ll probably just stick with getting just the shaved ice next time, which is actually cheaper. Kinda confusing at first cause there’s alot of different options. You can either a) create your own shaved ice; b) create your own shaved ice w/ice cream; c) pick one of their own creations that has shaved ice + ice cream. Oh and they do have ice cream sandwiches here… But I don’t think $ 4.00 is worth the price for that. Workers are friendly and I was really feelin the NorCal street art on the walls. I’m already craving this place while writing this so I’ll definitely be back with friends :)

Awesome shaved ice. Tons of flavors including POG(passion fruit orange guava). Many premade selections or custom make your own delicious ness. Within the shaved ice is your choice of ice cream, I recommend vanilla bean or green tea! Perfect for a summer day and the people there are nice too. Get a cool taste of Hawaii right here in San Jose!

I tried to come here when they first opened and it was really hot. They said it would take 20 minutes. Yikes. So i come back almost a year later. The tropical breeze has green tea ice cream in addition to kiwi and other flavors. The small is pretty big so i imagine e large is crazy. Good flavors but man by the end i was Shave Ice Wasted. I think they need a mini size so that i dont get crazy high then crash in the same sitting

Been here a few times and tried out different flavors of their shaved ice, all of which were really good. I like to switch up the flavors every visit but I always have to get it with vanilla ice cream, mochi, and condensed milk. Makes it a hundred times tastier! I’ve tried many shaved ice places that don’t do a good job at putting enough syrup and it ends up being mostly ice but haven’t had that problem here. The mochi is always soft and I just love the texture of their ice cream they have. Super soft and gooey, goes well with the shaved ice. Also instead of ordering two smalls(8oz each) for $ 4.49, my boyfriend and I just get one large(16oz) for $ 5.49. So you can save a few bucks if you can agree on the same flavors and toppings and don’t mind sharing!

Forget the North Shore! Go HERE! This place was amazing! The ice was fluffy and and the ice cream creamy. I had no idea what to get so Liz asked me what I liked and then recommended the most delicious frozen treat I have ever had! Mine was«coco nuts» and came with coconut ice cream,(Lappert’s!) with shaved ice on top with piña colada syrup, tiger blood, and shaved coconut! I hated to say good-bye. We also got a bubble gum, and bubble gum and cotton candy which were equally large and refreshing. The size was very generous and the price reasonable with three smalls about 11 $. They also had cookie sandwiches with several varieties. The atmosphere was a funky blend of San Jose and Hawaii, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. can’t wait to go back!

Yum, I love Shaved Hawaiian Ice! It definitely reminds me of the ones back in Honolulu. We tried peach, pineapple, and watermelon for the syrups. My favorite was definitely the Pineapple! We also added vanilla ice cream, mochi, and snow caps. It was a tasty treat on a hot day. I’ll definitely come back again!

I wasn’t totally impressed. Yes, it’s great! I love shaved ice! But this wasn’t the BEST I’ve ever had. and It wasn’t horrible. They have a lot of different flavors and it’s kind of overwhelming when you first walk in. If you’re someone like that and you don’t like GIANT menus… this is going to be a lot to take in. even though I have bad vision… I still like small font. But, with that, it took me a minute to order and I got kind of weird looks. Sorry! The ice was a good enough size, but I thought it was kind of expensive… But that’s just me. The flavor was good, and it was spread out evenly. it wasn’t like all the syrup was concentrated in one spot. It was even. What’s cool is they have ice cream flavors too! And I tried their green tea ice cream along with some creation(I forget what it was I think it was like tropical) and the ice cream, mmmm very creamy. It just didn’t match the flavors they paired it with. Oh well!
