Cool place to take the kids. The first round of bowling went smoothly. When I went back to get two more games for the kids, they said they had to have us move to another lane to accommodate another party. I reluctantly agreed and specifically asked for two more rounds for the kids. I repeated myself at least twice. So she charged my card and we proceeded to move. Turns out there was only one round of bowling for kids so we thought there was a mixup at the front desk. We went up there to talk to the front desk. They insisted it wasn’t their fault and charged us again for another game. Stupid. On top of that I ordered two hot dogs that took more than 30 minutes to come out. 30 min after I ordered I had to go ask them what’s going on. The person working the cash register casually said no and said she will call me when it’s ready. There were also no orders ahead of us. I mean it’s a nice place and all but the staff definitely needs more training.

This is a combo arcade/karaōke/bowling alley. I think there are other things, but I came for the arcade. Most specifically for the tsum tsum game. Yep. Addicted to a cellphone game I can play for free, but instead paying to play the same game on a large screen. I know, I’ve sold out. But who can say no to tiny Disney figurines? Not me. It’s pricey and a bit confusing as to how the machines work; be careful with your perception of costs vs the actual amount that is taken off your card with each swipe(four games of DDR when you were aiming for one is… A lot of DDR). I recommend checking the screen carefully after each painstakingly slow swipe. Otherwise, the arcade is a nice place. Well lit, very clean, especially for mall bathrooms. The hours are nice for a late night hang out that isn’t a bar, and the bouncer outside the door makes sure kids aren’t being left there by parents that want the night off. Other players are nice. The staff is bored(hey, it’s a mall job) but mostly pleasant. There are a ton of games for all ages, and if you have a group you can organize some multi player mariokart. All in all, a good arcade experience. The karaōke is also in small individual rooms, so if I was ever to feel some need to do karaōke, I’d definitely keep this place in mind.

Karaōke: Not worth it here. We walked in the room it was super dirty. Last guest left there food on the table. Food on the floor. 12am 1pm managers can check the cameras to see what I’m talking about #Rm2 No one cleaned it up before we entered. This place has only been open for a year and their controller is already falling apart. Which we had to keep pushing the battery in. The mic kept going out so we had to keep unplugging it. Not sure we will ever return. Not sure why you can’t bring your beer in the room after its 21+ Smh We did have fun bowling, but karaōke was the worst.

Drove from the valley to check this place out! It really is an arcade paradise! I just found it waaaaay too overpriced to the play the games I wanted to. :(Ended up buying the unlimited play pass for GREEN colored swipes ONLY($ 1 to activate a card and $ 8 for 60 min of unlimited play). I’d say it was worth it! If you’re a couple or just hanging out with a few friends, it ended up being pretty fun just playing the shooting or driving games! Of course I couldn’t stop looking at the other Japanese arcade games they had [they looked so cool! But so expensive T_T]. So, games were fun and they have a row of projectors above the bowling area which makes it great to watch your favorite sports team! Downsides to this place: expensive to play games like bowling, doesn’t even include shoes, and the«cooler/newer» arcade games… also what made me angry was how expensive the food is too! My brother bought a tiny 8 inch ~$ 14 pizza that I could eat all on my own… and there was barely anything on it. I looked at his receipt and they charged $ 1 for each topping they put on??? Ridiculous! All in all, you need to have at least $ 50 if you wanna eat and play a bunch of things that you want to in the arcade or do other things like karaōke, bowling, pool, ping pong… That was an overestimate. But it all depends on what you wanna do at this place! Because I came from afar to go here, I spent more money to do more stuff. If you live nearby, you’re lucky because you can go here as much as you want and spend less money each visit and play certain things at a time.

I went here with two of my close friends to celebrate my birthday. We came here pretty early, so we were pretty much the only ones who were in there playing games. This place is slightly like Chuck E Cheese but more like DNB’S(without the alcohol) xD I guess my favorite game must be the DDR. It was pretty fun. :)

The crane games are impossible. And so addictive. I’ve wanted a rilakkuma for the longest time. I liked this place at first because of all of the great Japanese arcade games and especially the Sega crane games. But when you lose lots of $ without winning anything at all, then that’s the point of stopping. Maybe for a long time. Leaning 3.5 stars. Much better than D&B.

Came here for the first time the other day when my friends have been here before. Located inside of Eastridge Mall, it’s a pretty cool arcade/bowling/karaōke place. We came at night and decided to go bowling. The prices are a bit high for being in an area near a high school and inside a mall. The amount you pay to bowl didn’t include shoe rentals and for that, I thought it was a bit unnecessary. The bowling area was interesting. Their screens had animé characters on it, but of course you can change the display. The bowling balls were probably my favorite because they actually look like colored basketballs! The seating area and tables were alright bc if you sat at the edge of the seats, the cushion or chair would topple up! And the lanes felt a bit«cheap» when we bowled, but I’m not sure if it’s bc of our expectations. Overall, the bowling experience was only better bc they had Kobe’s last game on and that game was definitely worthy of his last one! This place would be good and convenient for those night owls bc they close at 2am everyday.

A kiddy version of DN&B’s in Tokyo– if there exists such a place, this would be it. In the claw drop machines were bunches of Japanese characters(i.e. Daraemon, Hello Kitty). For me, the prizes were way better than the prizes in the machines at D&B’s. It costs 8 credits to play. I think it costs about $ 5 for 10 credits, so about 2 credits/dollar. They also post helpful tips on the machines on where to target the claw so that you have a better chance of grabbing your prize. How nice! It’s like they want you to succeed. The tip and a helpful employee by the name of Priscilla showed us how to win a prize & we did just that!!! It was fun. Afterward, we walked around to see the multitude of other games they had and we ended up settling on a Star Wars game where we were made to feel like we were inside a battle ship trying to complete a mission. It felt as close to realistic as you can get without actually being inside one of those things. It also cost 12 credits to play which made sense given the quality of the graphics. They also have bowling, karaōke and billiards if you don’t fancy the video games. This seems like a great place to take your kids or if want to let out your inner child. As expected, it’s pretty crowded on weekends so if you’re not into that, come on a weekday. All in all, this place was pretty fun and reminded me of some fun childhood memories at the arcade :)

For those saying the ufo machines are a rip off, read the instructions on the machines or ask an employee for some tips! There are one or two employees that make rounds around the ufo machines so if you see one don’t hesitate to ask for help. If you don’t keep track of your swipes/credits you could easily spend a lot of money on a prize that’s worth less than $ 20 bucks. At first it was super frustrating trying to play until an employee approached us and gave us some tips and even repositioned the prize for us. After two more tries we finally won! Not sure if they always do this but if you win a prize in a color that you don’t want, leave the prize in the bottom hole inside the machine and ask an employee to switch it for a different color. If you take it out of the machine they won’t switch the colors anymore, so keep that in mind.

I go just for the UFO machines I love how people say the UFO machines are a rip off and how they could not win anything. Honestly, I win three to five prizes every time I go. The associates are super helpful too. They will give you tips on how to win. Maybe you guys just suck at UFO machines. Who knows! ****Cute prizes!**** Love this place!

DONOTPLAYTHEUFOMACHINE. IT’S A RIPOFF. My bf spent $ 90 in credit just to end up with nothing. It’s expensive per play, and the claw machine is really weak. You rarely see people win anything. Never going back there.

I was so excited to see so many claw machines and ended up spending $ 100 to get absolutely nothing. The toys are actually legitimate and not an imitation like they give out at Great America. Actually has the Disney or Sanrio or whatever tag on them. DONOTGETSUCKEDIN! I would like to consider myself an experienced claw machine player, but this place. I can swear the machines are rigged to get stronger as more money is put into the machine with no wins. For the bigger toys, there are no skills involved, very few of the times it actually grabs… most of the time it doesn’t. It just pays out if it’s received enough money. There are the ones that know this(aka vultures) that are watching from the side and will come when they feel the claw is starting to get stronger The experience here was so bad, my friend started to cry. It was a very bad time. The place is very expensive too. The recommended buy-in is $ 30 which gives you 150 credits. It’s 10 credits per try for the bigger claw machines and 8 credits for the smaller ones. That’s around $ 1.60 — $ 2 per try. Please DONOT expect to win and I really mean it. You will have a better time at Dave & Busters. The winnings is crappy but at least you win something.

Used to goto Round 1 all the time in Japan so was excited to come here. Unfortunately this place was extremely disappointing in the fact that they close actually at 1am and not 2am which is the posted time, and add some rude attitudes from the staff to add to the bad experience. The good were the purikura machines, and some nice Japanese games but I wish they would improve their service to match Japanese standards.

I love coming here for their claw machines. I hardly play their arcade games because the token to ticket ratio here is not worth it and it takes decades to earn enough for a prize you actually WANT. The workers here will help you out if you ever need their help but usually they are very flustered and can sometimes give you attitude or a sigh if you ask for help but that’s their job… so I don’t get why they think it’s such a chore when they’re paid to help their customers and make their customers happy. Some workers are nicer than other and the nice ones are usually more than happy to help you out and ensure that you get a fair chance of winning the plush you want. Haven’t done anything aside from the claw machines, arcade games and bowling but bowling is usually out the question for us when we come here because the wait time is always ridiculously long and not worth the wait.

An Asian take on Dave and Buster’s at Eastridge Mall. Round 1 is located next to Barnes and Nobles in Eastridge Mall. That is, if you’re coming in from the outside of the mall. Either way, you can’t really miss it. Fun place to bowl, play arcade games, win prizes, sing, eat and spend quality time with your family, friends, strangers and yourself possibly. Who says you can’t have fun on your own? Will come back after finals are over!

This review is for the karaōke only. Came here with some friends, ready to get my oyaji skillz on and sing Japanese songs. $ 22/hour, OK. We get into the room and there’s English, Chinese(with one empty Chinese book…) and Spanish. Where’s the Japanese? I go back to the counter. Hi, do you have Japanese songs here??? A little incredulous, because karaōke is Japanese after all. And I’ve never been to a karaōke place that doesn’t have Japanese songs. And Round 1 is a Japanese company(I have been to Round 1 in Japan). «Oh, Japanese is only in certain rooms. The rooms that have the same price as the one you are in are both taken. You can pay more than double the amount($ 50) to change rooms if you want.» Yeah, no thanks… and you needed to tell me this BEFORE we went into the room. There are no signs anywhere stating this information. So now we’re wasting the time we are obligated to pay for(No Refunds signs everywhere) and we don’t get to sing in Japanese, which was the whole point of coming. I guess I could have made a huge fuss and called for a manager, but I was with friends and we just wanted to have a good time. So we went back to our room(#1) to sing in English. The karaōke system in our room was ANCIENT. It’s the same type of system you see in a bar, the very first karaōke system that came out in the 70s. Just words on a screen with song backtracks that vary from completely minimal, to coming out of nowhere and scaring the shit out of you. Oh, and it was impossible to input songs with the remote. Took about 6 or 7 tries(no exaggeration) to input 1 song because of machine lag. Maybe other rooms are different and have a better system. I don’t care, be consistent and don’t be cheap. We had fun, but it was a garbage experience and I’ll never come back.

This by far is the best ARCADE place I have ever been to, and only 21+ can enter in, NOKIDS allowed past 9pm… Way better than Dave & Busters! I stumbled to this place by words of mouth, and me and two of my friends came here, ‘Alice & Kian’, we played, we laugh, we danced, and we took endless selfies. But in order to have fun like I did, you have to be member, you can’t just get a rewards card, but you have to pay for it. And it isn’t that pricey. I picked the basic card for now for $ 20 with an additional $ 10 game play on top, definitely had a lot of fun for $ 30 worth of play time for at least close to an hour or so. What the club member benefits: Bowling: Up to $ 1 off per game, and will discount on 5 games pack Arcade Games: $ 1 off on all game packages(includes time play) Karaōke: $ 1 off/hr per group Billards: $ 1 off/hr per group, and will discount from 3hr packs as well Darts: $ 1 off/hr per group, and will discount from 2hr packs as well You can definitely benefit with all the perks that ‘Round 1 Entertainment’ provides with an optional Annual of $ 5 only. And your basic card upgrades with more perks, per visit. Your basic cards bumps up to Silver if you visit 10x… Then Gold for up to 30 Visits… Then to Platinum for unto 50 visits! Anyways, enough reading, you get the picture, GOHAVEFUN! If you have questions, DONT ask me… Ask the ‘Round 1 Entertainment’ staff members, they can help you, and dont forget to bring your ID. Hint Hint! Definitely a great place to bring your bf/gf here for a date, but NOT on a legit date to impress him/her though for the very first time, or you’ll make yourself like a total fool. LOL!

Came here with a friend for an impromptu hangout and was pleasantly surprised! I’ve been to the Round 1 in SoCal before and really enjoyed spending all my cash money there trying to win the Mameshibas and playing the Wizard of Oz coin drop game. I always wished there was a place like this in the Bay Area, and now there is! Located directly above 24 Hr Fitness, Round 1 takes up a large area of the second level of Eastridge. Well of course it would… this place has it all: bowling alley, rooms for karaōke, ping pong tables, darts, a fully stocked arcade with crane machines and purikura… Holy moly. The 4 stars right now are for just the arcade games and crane machines since I’ve yet to check out the rest of the entertainment. In terms of arcade, they got just about everything. I also really like the crane machine prizes… really wish they had Mameshibas tho. I was able to win a Hello Kitty Zangief on my first try on one of those things! Pretty darn sweet. Will probably update once I try a little bit more of what Round 1 has to offer. All in all, this place is perfect for friends to gather and just hang out and have fun. Would definitely recommend coming here even if it’s just to take a stroll around.

Went here after work with my wife for their grand opening. My wife and I went straight to line up to purchase our card to play games and get discounts. Right when we came to the counter the worker Bryan was helpful and answer all our question. The workers here are nice and friendly. They was quick at doing their task. Wow! this place is a lot better then Dave and Buster because some of the game machines add your tickets on to the card. Some of the games don’t even work. This place going to be my new late night hang out.

Grand opening day! I am so happy there is finally a Round 1 in the Bay. I have been a fan of the Puente Hills branch in SoCal for years, and was always hoping they’d build one in NorCal. The time has finally come. Not since the days of my beloved WonderPark at Great Mall(where I worked until it shut down) has there been an entertainment complex of this magnitude in the area, and from the looks of it, whoever said that arcades have gone the way of the dodo bird couldn’t be more incorrect. This place is poppin’! Not only is there the latest and greatest in video games straight from Japan, but also bowling, pool, ping-pong, Japanese picture booths, and karaōke! Best of all, the stuffed animals you get from winning games are AUTHENTIC, not the cheap knockoffs you’d find elsewhere. Gone are the days of flushing down $ 50 of your hard earned loot at Golfland or D&B, only to be rewarded with a Chinese finger trap, a plastic frog, and a handful of Jolly Ranchers. For a limited time, make sure to grab your cool Japanese-style Round 1 fan at the door. Get it while supplies last! Fire up that minivan, round up little Billy, Sally, and obaasan Gertrude, and haul on down for some good old fashioned fun for the entire family!
