It was open on New Year’s so we figured it wouldn’t be so bad. We should have known the moment we walked in & there was only one customer in the whole place. Plus, the lights weren’t on so it was dim minus the sun shining through the windows. The place felt like a freezer & it was actually colder inside than it was outside. I had to actually grab another jacket from my car while waiting for the food to come out. We ordered the hu tieu & it took a while to come out. By the time I was mixing my noodles, I noticed a hair in it *sigh* I didn’t want to even bother complaining as it’d take awhile to get another bowl ready. The meat was old & overall, I lost my appetite a while back with the freezing my butt off & the wait. Go to Nha Hang Saigon Seafood if you want good hu tieu. We didn’t even get the free boba with our entrees, but I’d probably wouldn’t even want it anymore after that meal. The waitress was nice & that was about it. Definitely won’t be back. I can’t imagine how this place will stay open much longer…

I recently moved to San Jose from Connecticut, and although we have a plethora of Chinese food and Thai food there, I was interested in trying Vietnamese food. Although I speak no Vietnamese and these ladies spoke very little English, they were accommodating and I very quickly was able to order my to-go meal(Mì Xào Bò Mêm– stir fry egg noodle with beef). I asked for chicken instead of beef, and they delivered! As I waited, the nice lady gave me a glass of ice water. This has never happened to me! Fantastic! I was, however, there at 11:30am on Tuesday, so I was the only customer there. Food came out super fast. I am no expert on Vietnamese food, but this was delicious!

Looking for some Phở, came across this place. Looks nice, big blinking light rope around the outside, flashing OPEN sign, ’ grand reopening ’ sign … well let’s give it a try. I walked in, the place was empty. A woman appraoched me to tell me that they were closed. I looked up the place on my phone and indeed it was still open. I pointed out that their sign said open, it was within the posted business hours outside on the door, and was she sure it was closed. ” No, we closed«and she pointed to the door. Well, so much for that.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. Ordered octopus, beef and chicken skewers. The octopus and chicken were undercooked. Had to ask them to heat it up again for us. Ordered a rice plate, not too impressed with the meat. And ordered their combo beef noodle, a little too salty. They gave out free Thai milk tea with a lot of ice. Free so cannot complain. Might come back for cooked skewers, but not so much for the other food items.

I came here on my gfs whim and it looked like a restaurant on its final legs. I was surprised to hear it had only been open for a few months. I think its mostly location and the resultant poor number of customers. There are probably a few other reasons but its probably this that has killed the chances this restaurant had of succeeding. Concept wise, its a place to get grilled meats and things and grab a beer or two with friends. These types of places are fairly common in Vietnam and pretty popular. We tried kaffir leaf chicken, beef, octopus skewers and they were reasonably good. At $ 2 a skewer it wasn’t too bad a price as the skewers each had about 4 or 5 bites. Not really sure what this restaurant could do to fix the sinking ship. Maybe this review might help. 3 stars for what it is, 1 extra star for what it could have been.

This place was good. When we came here there were no other customers inside which made us a little skeptical but once we walked up the lady was really nice and answered any of our questions we had. We settled for the Thai seafood hot pot. The portion was really big which we didn’t know if it would be enough for 2. The broth was good and the amount of vegetables and noodles that came with it surprised us(in a good way). They are doing a free boba tea with every entrée so that is a plus. All in all, this place is very yummy, I don’t know why there wasn’t anyone in there!

Phở is slightly salty but I find more enjoyable than Phở 90 Degrees. Do yourself a favor and don’t get their smoothies. They give you a chalky after taste.

Went in after roaming around the century mall next store. This place was pretty dead during lunch time but it is okay for us. My man and me ordered grilled beef and chicken heart sewers to start us off. While I ordered the ph đc bit while my man ordered the broken rice with Korean bbq. There was only one persons serving us and one cook making food. The server was quite friendly and made sure everything okay at our table. Food was decent so I can’t complain too much. The only negative thing to say about this place is that they got a few items that they don’t have on the menu. Like my man wanted a mango smoothie but they don’t have that even it is on the menu. Then wanted the sugar cane juice but they don’t have that either. It was quite annoying. Something they need to improve on. I hope this restaurant improve and remains open for a while.

PLEASEREAD before you come here. I worked here. As a customer, you will find this place enjoyable if you see an empty restaurant because the food is actually very good for the most parts and the chef takes time on your order. Come at a ‘busy’ time with about a dozen customer and its your nightmare, because only 1COOK inside and 1 server(me) outside. Wait 40 mins and beat the odds of your order being cold, undercooked or ill-decorated. Drink promotion has been on for a while and its a plus for many customers. Here is my purpose of this review. The owner is never there and she doesnt really care for her workers. Some have not been paid for months, myself included. If the owner doesnt care about the remaining people working for her, how much will she care about you? How can you expect good service from the people who are technically working for free? I cant forbid anyone to come here and enjoy the food if you can wait for it. The question is would you condone such injustice. For the servers looking for a job out there, find somewhere else, you have been warned. If you find this helpful, please rate it and share so more people will be informed, thank you.

BBQ skewers are actually quite tasty. I like them. As for everything else, meh. Milk tea boba watered down and glass filled with ice so barely took a couple sips and we were done with our tea. When I took a bite of my hu tieu, there was a strand of HAIR. It was tucked at the bottom of the bowl beneath the noodles and when I mixed it up to eat it, I had seen at the corner of my eye a part of the hair sticking out but I was already taking a bite… and felt the hair in my mouth. YUCK! I actually didn’t read Unilocal reviews before coming here. So to find out that another patron had also found hair in their food… that’s gotta tell you something about how their food is being handled in the kitchen. Likewise, I didn’t see any point in telling them there was hair in my food. I didn’t want to eat anything from there anymore. There was NOBODY else inside the restaurant. I knew that I wouldn’t come back here again.

Came here on a Tuesday around lunch time with my mom and the two younger kids. It was a quiet day and there were three other tables. I should have known better when I noticed one table left without ordering food. We asked for water and the free boba tea that comes with the phở(we were only able to get one odd since we ordered more than two items). They gave us one boba tea and one cup of water to share among 4 people(ok two were kids but would you want to share with the kids when their cups typically have back wash in their water?!). We had to ask for two more cups of water. It probably took them 20 minutes for two bowls of phở to come out(we ordered three), the third didn’t come out until we asked(waited for about 10 minutes to see if they would bring out the other bowl) and we didn’t get it until 15 minutes later. Apparently they forgot we had another order! Ridiculous how long it took to get water and food. After out meal the waitress apologized and said it was her first day on the job and she is still trying to get the hang of it. That’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars vs. 1. On to the food! We ordered 3 bowls of phở, one tofu skewer and one beef skewer. Phở — mediocre, I found a hair in my phở. I didn’t bother to tell them since I knew it would be no point and I would wait another 20 – 30 min. Not worth the wait to complain. Tofu skewer — basically deep fried tofu that they put on a stick! No flavor very bland. Beef skewer — this was not on the grill. It was beef that they put hella sauce on and it was cold! WTH? Cold skewers, not very good and pretty nasty. Total disappointment even though I had no expectations. Go some where else.

2 stars for the service and 2 for the yummy food, it’s kinda derrrty walled so no 5… Is only been open 2 months and looks as if they just took over the space. Brought son’s to have phở after Easter egg bonanza and almost went to phở 99 but I seen next door the smoothie spot and wish I’d came here before. They have a free drink special as a promotion I assume. Any how, it was after 7 and we were probably the final customers. Upon entry their were several tables occupied although it was quickly a ghost town. The waitress provided to separate menus for ordering. We were strictly their for their phở; yet we ordered egg rolls as an appie… I seen they have skewered hearts gizzards and other items in going to eventually post pix of. Very cold for the time year because their ceiling is the roof. Lots of open space to heat im sure the it’ll be comfortable during the summer though. We were provided ice as we request at every establishment to assure our monsters will chum up their phở. I have a feeling I’m going to dissect their menu. That’s Unilocaling somethin. Kitchen looked organized and clean although it’s only been 2 months I’ll see how this new phở spot holds up in my family phở list!!!

Extensive menu. Hotpot, hard to find items like snails, pork, chicken dishes. Homemade style. Bbq skewers, phở prices reasonable; everything made from scratch

First of im going to list the positives of this restaurant: They give you a free milk tea when you order an entrée, the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating since I brought my 2 dogs out for lunch and lastly the waitress is friendly and seems nice. Now let’s get to the food review. Here’s what i ordered and its honest truth review. How truthful will I be you may ask, well… I’m sitting on the throne right now as I write this review, that’s how true I’m being. 1. Baby octopus on skewer 2. Gizzards on a skewer 3. Heart on a skewer 4. Lamb on a skewer 5. Pork belly on a skewer Reviews on the skewers: this is a major disappointment… came out cold on a skewer. It looks like they just boil everything in water then stick it on the skewer and serve. there was no grill mark on all our skewers and everything was cold to the touch. total disappointment and will not recommend this to anyone… STAYAWAY! 6. Oc Len Xao Dua — this was not bad… the only tasty dish we ordered. 7. Combo fried rice was spot on, can’t go wrong with friend rice. My overall experience was less than ok… the only positive I have to say is the waitress was great. I feel bad for her working here because I bet most customers will complain to her about the quality of the food but it’s nothing she could do. To be fair, I will give this place a 2nd try in a few month to prove me wrong –_–

Came here right when they opened, service was good, staff was friendly, and the food was full of flavor! I will definitely be returning for more when I’m in the area next. I got the beef phở and chicken like skewers, both were great!
