Solid Phở place in the South Bay. Piping hot broth that is flavorful, balanced, and not too oily. Phở noodles were not over cooked and soggy. Good portion of protein. I’ve been here several times and enjoyed their spring roll, combo beef noodle soup, and their Bun Bo Hue. If you order a large soup noodle as well as an appetizer, then a coffee or ice coffee is a must — to prevent food coma. The only knock on the place is that sometimes they have a hard time cleaning up tables — and when they do so, its a bit unsightly to dine amongst tables that are piled with empty dishes. The added bonus now of visiting here is that the Marco Polo shop a few stores down finally opened up, and is a good for post-phở dessert.

This place is good. Flank steak phở is a must have. And their chai milk tea. Yummy! BUT I’m writing this review now because they lost a star with me tonight. I understand they close at 12 but we came well before that and just took our time eating. And because they wanted to close so badly they rushed us with our checks and our last bit of food. I’ve never had that happen to me before and I’m just shocked. So yeah good food bad closing manners.

I came here on New Year’s Day with my mom around 1:45pm. Parking was limited but we found parking. There were a lot of people eating inside and outside. We waited for about ten minutes before we were seated upstairs. The décor looked new and it was a little dim upstairs so the pictures I took were not the best. The menu had a lot of phở selection as well as other Vietnamese dishes like vermicelli. I believe only the green highlighted items on the menu were meant for vegetarians and there was only a handful of them. We ordered #4 Goi Cuon(Spring Rolls)($ 5.00), #7 Bun Bi Chay(Vegetarian Vermicelli)($ 8.50), #25 Phở Tai Nam(rare flank steak, well-done flank)(regular for $ 8.95 and large for $ 9.65), and #38 Bun Nem Nuong Cha Gio($ 8.50) to go. The waitress was nice and used an iPad to put our order in. We waited a few minutes before the Goi Cuon arrived. It tasted good and the peanut sauce tasted just like other Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to in the past. The Phở Tai Nam was good and the broth had some flavor in it. The meat wasn’t tough to eat either. After we were done eating, we went downstairs to pay for our food. I guess it was different than some of the other phở places but that was fine. Overall, good phở place in Vietnam Town!

My favorite place to get phở after a night out on the weekends. The restuarant is very spacious with outdoor seating(perfect during a nice day out) and the phở is good. It’s a little more pricey than other restaurants, but it’s worth it. My boyfriend and I have gone there so often that a couple of the waiter/waitresses remember us. Their nem nuong and bun Bo hue are yummy too. I took off a star because they have messed up my orders on multiple occasions, but I’ll still come back.

All was delicious and fast here! This was the place that hit my last night munchies spot. I order a side of bo vien(beef balls), cha gio(egg rolls), Che ba mau(3bean dessert), nem neung coun(grilled pork spring rolls). All of it was yummy, especially the spring rolls. I was a little turned off by the sweet and sour sauce that came with my egg rolls because I was hoping for some nuoc mum(fish sauce). It was alright though. My Che ba mau had taro paste in it and it was bomb! Be wary of the jellies though because they were all stuck together. I couldn’t drink it through the straw. I had to use my spoon. Definitely going to go again.

Its been years since I’ve last been here so I thought it would be fine… It was a mistake. Came because it would be quick and because my mom wanted to go. First thing I noticed was that it stank like a rag… because thats exactly what it was. They used a dirty ass rag to wipe the tables down. I got the phở gan bo vien and it sucked. Lacked flavor and when I was halfway done I found a little fucking hair in it. We also ordered the nem nuong cuon but it didn’t come. How the fuck you gunna take orders on an iPad and we still don’t get it? I was already mad so I let it go. just gunna have it taken off the bill if they charge(still here unfortunately). Service sucked, food sucked, and this place makes me feel dirty. I won’t come again.

My uncle’s friend who lives in SJ recommended this place to us. We went during dinner time & it wasn’t packed at all. We were seated right away & the server was really nice. I saw that they take orders on the iPad — that’s cool. Food came out & judging from everyones empty bowls/plates — it was pretty decent.

Came here for lunch with a party of seven adults and two toddlers. I knew this place was going to be a challenge for me, being a pescatarian and borderline vegan. I ordered salmon with rice for myself, which really was nothing special, I think because this was probably not a popular dish there, and the fish was almost certainly frozen. The rest of my group ordered either broken rice combo plates or phở. With the phở, you have the option of the traditional noodles or «fresh» noodles which I assume they make in house. Cost per person was about $ 10 for quite a bit of food. The service was not great. The phở came out almost immediately, which was awkward because the other five waited almost 15 minutes for their food to arrive. The place looks very nice inside but needs better ventilation. Leave your outerwear in the car unless you want to take the phở aroma with you. Two stars for me, but that is biased since I don’t eat traditional phở. Three stars overall since the rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meal.

I have came here multiple times but I have never written a review on it until now. I usually get the combo with everything and that usually is enough. This time I wanted to be a bit more adventurous and tried the ox tail phở. We got seated fairly quickly on a Sunday and they took our order really fast like most phở places. The food doesn’t take long to come out but the broth this time was really good. I don’t know if they use a different broth that includes the ox tail or maybe a similar broth but it was definitely better than most times. Maybe they cook it with the ox tail bones I am assuming. The only down side, the ox tails come on bones so be prepared to use your hands and there isn’t a lot of ox tail also. The condiments were empty and taken away also at one point. Phở is phở but for a more delicious soup/broth, try the ox tail.

I would definitely classify Phở 90 Degree as a higher end phở restaurant. You can immediately tell from the outside: it’s located in the newer plaza with an outdoor patio. I came a week or so after Christmas and they still have a Christmas tree plopped down right behind the host/hostess table. The service is very attentive and we were greeted and seated very quickly. My friend began wiping down the table because she thought it was dirty, but it only looked like smalls cracks and chips to me(she was right, it wasn’t clean). After looking briefly at the menu, I decided to go with the stir fried flank steak + phở because it was the only one with font in another color(I love going for the chef’s favorite or w/e stands out). Our orders came out very quickly and I began with the flank. Yay it’s meat, but dam, all I got was the texture of meat and not the flavor. Granted, I can definitely appreciate the fact that it was cooked well, but I wish it were more flavorful. After a while, I ended up using the sriracha and hoisin sauce to add some flavoring. The phở on the other hand was a standard bowl, nothing special. I definitely appreciate the service and atmosphere that Phở 90 Degrees has, but I didn’t exactly enjoy the food. I’ll definitely consider giving this place another chance and I’ll stick with my typical bowl of phở w/flank and brisket in the future(I’ll update my review then)

I’m not sure why this place got three out of five stars but they got four stars in my book. This place has good food, average service and good price. What make this place better than other phở restaurants is their durian shake. Their durian shake is like drinking a fresh frozen durian. OMGGREAT durian shake. I would definitely come back here just for their durian shake. Service: good Quality: good Price: average Durian shake: AAAAAAWESOME

I honestly don’t know what happened to this place. I don’t live in the area, but I use to come here for take out phở at least 3 – 4 times a week. After awhile, the quality just went down drastically. I placed an order to-go last night for two orders of the goi cuon, got home and was pretty disappointed. When I placed my order, I asked how long the wait would be, the guy had said 10 minutes. I get there and he ends up just walking to the area where they have their cleaned utensils, puts my two orders of goi cuon in the tray and get the sauce. As I was eating the rolls, it tasted okay. Nothing great. But at the end of the first roll, it started tasting a little odd. The 2nd one was the same. But when I went on to the third roll, I opened it to find someone’s hair tucked underneath the shrimp. I don’t know how long those rolls were sitting there, but I’m never ordering goi cuon from them again.

I’ve been here on many occasions with my younger sister, usually late at night, since they stay open until 3AM on weekends. I have tried a few different items and most of their soups are pretty good. I’ve had the phở dac biet, phở ga and bun bo hue. I’ve also had their nem neung cuon a few times. They’re definitely not Brodard’s, but when you’re craving them… it’s the closest thing. I always order their #71 che for dessert because it’s really good, except for the one time that I ordered 4 extra to take home with me. They cheaped out on the red tapioca and just loaded them with ice. I hate when businesses do that. If you ran out, then let me know that you can only make 2 orders instead of trying to sell me 2 orders at the price of 4.

Yummy phở and good service. The special phở regular size is big enough for me! Get’s me full, and the quality of meat I would rate at 4 star compared to other phở places. My favorite is the neng neum(I hope I spelled that correctly) which is the spring rolls wrapped in pork sausages instead of shrimp! Definitely a must get, and the shrimp sauce that goes along with it is great! I have to get the neng neum every time!

Not bad! Not bad at all. This phở restaurant definitely is on my top list of Phở restaurants in the bay area. Nice location, located in Saigon town next to Grand Century and also directly next to Soyful Desserts! What a combo. The restaurant is on the corner facing the outside of the plaza, it’s a fairly big place as it has tons and tons of outside seating. My friends came here for lunch on Sunday after a night of drinking and the wait was not that bad. We could had opted to sit outside, but it was too late :(; what a waste of nice weather! SERVICE: Service here was quick and prompt! They were very considerate in our orders(well I speak vietnamese, maybe that gave an edge?)… the orders were taking very fast since we knew what we wanted. FOOD: They have nem nuong, similar to Brodardsin OC. This came out fairly quickly so I am guessing they didn’t really roll it on spot, but it was already pre-rolled. The sauce and everything is extremely similar to Brodards, but you cannot beat Brodards. Pricing here is not as heavy on your wallet as Brodards either. Great Nem nuong cuon! The phở comes in two sizes, normal or large… LARGE is huge! They come with vege plate of basil, bean sprouts, some spikey leaf that I like, peppers and lemon(the usual). The phở also has two size noodles, thin or thick — I opted for the thin and my friends both for thick. The broth was pleasant! Not to salty and not to MSG-y tasting. You can definitely taste a hint of beef bone marrow they used, if they used it. Great broth that is for sure and it’s very important to have good broth! The meat were nice as well, thinly sliced and not to heavy on your stomach — they did add a lot! so that’s definitely a plus… a little too much, as I ran out of noodles before meat! Overall, my experience here was great! I would definitely come back here for Phở, it’s a great place

I am constantly reminded on how much I love this place. Two hosts almost ran into each other when rushing to greet my boyfriend and I. The employees are here to serve good tasting food; and they do just that. They are always speedy with cleaning up tables between lunch and dinner rushes! I come here with my boyfriend almost two to sometimes three times a month. EVERY time we visit the food is fresh, tasty and exactly how we ordered it. My favorite favorite Phở shop in the South Bay. Hands. Down. Come here!

It literally smells like piss here. You could eat in your own bathroom at home and feel okay about eating. At Phở 90, it smelled like a public pay toilet on Embarcadero in San Francisco. I felt like I was eating in a public SF toilet. The moment I walked in, it reeked of an awfully pungent smell. Under normal circumstances, I would have walked straight back to my car, but I stayed because my friend and I were starving and had no other options. Onto the food. I ordered the bun bo hue(spicy beef noodle soup) and my friend got some generic phở. Both broth soups were incredibly sweet and full of MSG. By my second sip, I could feel my tongue getting all numb from all the MSG. Not only that, the bun bo hue was not even spicy at all, I had to add a ton of extra spices/chili(and I’m not talking about sriracha). Among other things, they charge for tea. It doesn’t even come in a teapot, they do teabags in a mug with hot water. Although tables were cleaned with a spray, the cloth used was very visibly dirty… Forget about other Unilocalers complaining about service, did you guys even pay attention to anything else??? Overall, a disgusting place to be in, let alone eat,

I don’t know why everyone loves this place. It’s okay. I mean the interior is nice and fancy with their high-tech iPads, and it’s different from the typical vietnamese restaurant, but the food is not that great. I tried their phở and bun bo hue and it’s okay. The food here is kind of pricey, just for a phở or bun bo hue is almost $ 9 for a small, and $ 10 for a large. Like seriously? I can get phở/bun bo hue somewhere else for ~$ 7-$ 8 and taste sooo much better! The service here is okay, but the workers can be slow at times. I recommend you to go somewhere else. I’m still looking for my favorite phở and bun bo hue restaurant in SJ, any recommendations Unilocalers? :)
