This place has a pretty good selection of deserts and sweet drinks. It’s really small, but there’s seating. Not the cleanest place in the world or much to look at, but the area where they make your food is sanitary. The service here is really great and the people who work here are really nice! I ordered the shaved ice when I went. They put a really generous amount of toppings on there and the toppings are really good(especially the rice balls!). The ice is really chunky though. Note: Don’t forget to bring some dollar bills when you go cause this place is CASHONLY.

I come here every time I am craving an Avocado Smoothie! Great price for a legit Avocado Smoothie(3.25). It tastes amazing, the pearls are also very good. I have also tried the Shaved Ice here, it’s pretty much an Asian version of Shaved Ice and I love it. The lady who owns the place is also very nice.(:

The owner is nice. I tried the small shaved ice with rice balls that were yummy and a good consistency, grass jelly good, red bean that was not much of the beans but more like a paste, and condensed milk. It was pretty sweet and I felt like I didn’t have enough ice on top. There is a nice selection of toppings, which is good. Overall my experience was okay. I’ll have to try other things here next time.

This is my to go place to come for milk tea. I LOVE their #1 with extra sugar. I have been here for 17 years and all these years, it taste EXACTLY the same. I like that consistency. I never get anything else, but the #1, Their tapioca boba is Amazing, sweet and soft, unlike other pearl tea places. And trust me I have tried pearl tea all over the US. Their shave ice with red beans, barley, tapioca, and condense milk is also something I really like. This shop have been here for many many years. The workers are always nice and welcoming new people. I hope they will remain to be here many more years! =)

After Unilocaling this & reading all the good reviews, I couldn’t wait to try their shaved ice! But…I did, and it was not that great of an experience :(((( I ordered a large shaved ice with strawberries, grass jelly, rice balls, and condensed milk. After a few spoonfuls I was done. I don’t even know, it was just too overly sweet?(but I loveeee sweetness) and there was this brownish syrup added to it too, iunno. The rice balls are interesting, the texture is chewy. Idk, I had Taiwanese shaved ice once too and I loved it! but this was just not good/blehhh. Me & my friend only finished half of it too: C I think 3 people sharing a large is good. Maybe I’ll give it a second try some day… The value is good though, especially for it’s pretty cheap price. The old lady owner was super nice and friendly though! But the store is really squished and outdated.

Wanna try their mix-in yogurt but the machine is out of order =( But the lady working there suggested me to try yogurt smoothie. I tried the mango one and it is super creamy and delicious! It tastes more on yogurt flavor side, not like ordinary milkshake that make you feel fatty, or those icy slush drink that make you have brain freeze! AWESOME. I will definitely come back and wanna try shaved ice next time!

OMG one of the very few places with freshly made frozen yogurt. Pros: Service: I’ve been going here for years, and the service has always been super helpful and friendly. I love the lady that runs and serves her clients, shes a true boss lady. Beverages: There is a simple menu of milk teas, smoothies, and juices. I’d recommend try one of their smoothies mixed with yogurt, super creamy and filling. Desserts: There is a selection of frozen yogurt, ice cream, saved iced, and there’s also some savory items. Another dessert that I enjoyed there is their hot tofu dessert with ginger, great dessert for colder evenings. The only disappointment I have is that parking can be a bit of pain due to the fact since its in the Rance 99 plaza, with a large super market, local vendors, and restaurants. Overall, this place has been a favorite since I was young and there’s a lot of local loyal patrons that come here often. If you’re tired of the long wait at Bambu, then walk over and try this place out for yourself.

ok. Maybe this is an unfair review but I’m entitled to my opinion. I absolutely hate shaved ice. Someone chewing ice(or watching someone chew ice) is the equivalent of running your nails down a chalk board for me. It sends chills down my back and makes me shutter at the sound/sight of someone eating ice. My friends demanded that I give shaved ice another try so they dragged me here after dinner and bought a large shaved ice with mochi, strawberry, mango and grass jelly. Now all it is crushed ice. I have no idea how this is any more special then me taking a hammer to my ice tray at home. My friends say its«silkier» and has a better texture/flavor than most other shaved ice in the area. I think its just mini ice cubes that you chew. When it melts, you have your toppings floating in water. I don’t understand the huge craze with shaved ice. Someone please explain it to me because I have strawberries and ice at home.

This café has been around for as long as I can remember! I never went here as a kid, what a shame cos I’m sure I would have loved it then too! I was introduced to here by a friend on a hot day for shaved ice. You order a size and then you get to pick 3 add-ons. My friend recommended the strawberry, almond jello & rice balls. that’s the best combo. I have not ried any other ones, but I’m prettyyy sure this is the best one. ;D Don’t forget to add the condensed milk, that is a must! The strawberries are usually sweet, I don’t think i’ve ever encountered a sour one, and when could you ever go wrong w/almond jello? The rice balls are ZEBEST. Sho soft and chewy… yum! My sister & I are usually fighting over them. A large is a generous portion and great to share among 2 – 3 ppl. Sometimes I get random tea egg cravings and they also sell them there! Pretty good! Everything else looks pretty enticing, I’ve heard good things about their soft serve and always go in with intention to try it but I always get seduced by the shaved ice instead. Oh well.

This little coffee shop reminds me of those little booths in Taiwan where I grew up, where my friends and I used to go after school on a hot summer day to get shaved ice or milk teas or water melon juice. The space is definitely a bit cramped, but it’s that shoulder-rubbing that makes it so… old school(Taiwanese style!). The service is a little slow, but the female owner was friendly nonetheless. She was probably very busy making the drinks as it seems like they were short staffed. Actually, on a second thought, it might just be her and her husband that are running the shop? I got a hot taro milk tea and my friend got a papaya milk drink. They blend the papaya milk when the order was placed, which probably explains why the service was slow. Both drinks were tasty and not overly sweet! There is this frozen yogurt machine but it was broken when I went. I hope to try it out soon, maybe next summer!

After eating phở for lunch, I walked to Poco Café to get their Mango Pearl Drink(had to walk off some calories to get some more lol). It’s a very cute little store with only around 4 tables inside that would seat two people each. Their handwritten board menu had different pearl drink flavors, but I love mangoes so that’s what I ordered. The great thing about their pearl drinks was what they put in it. It’s not powder flavor. They actually blended in real chunks of fruit. I got real mangoes with chewy tapioca pearls. Yum! For $ 3.25(I think tax included since the server/cashier only took that amount from me… no reciept), it’s quite competitive. I would go back to get more Mango Pearl Drink… if I have cash. That’s the less one star for me. They only accept cash. At least the drink I received tasted really good. Plus, the Chinese lady was really friendly. So yeah, with cash, I’d go back. I sound so redundant in this review. LOL

I have been on the hunt for a local shaved ice spot that can be my go to place on warm summer nights. This is not that place for me. After some Unilocal research, I learned that this little café serves shaved ice… yayyyyy??? Upon arriving, I saw that the shaved ice offered odd flavors like TARO(for shaved ice?!) and I picked the most normal thing… strawberry. My excitement was starting to grow and my mouth was starting to water… and then I saw that the flavored syrup was NOT the normal kind of syrup. It was straight up real strawberries with a strawberry syrup that looks like it is used for ice cream topping– super thick and jelly like. :(:(:(:(:( Then I hoped it tasted better than I was imagining… NOPE. Within 10 minutes of ATTEMPTING to eat more than 4 bites, my mouth was clearly mad at me as well as my stomach. Rumble city in the tummy– so NOT the business :( Will not be coming back here for shaved ice and probably for nothing else either.

I wasn’t thrilled when my friend made me come all the way here for shave ice because I didn’t think such a dessert was that special… but I was actually quite satisfied. We ordered a large with condensed milk, glutinous rice balls, grass jelly, and pineapple. Result: YUMM!!! I especially like the rice balls and grass jelly. About $ 4.75 for a large seems like a good deal and it was enough to share among at least 2 people. Great desert for a hot summer day!

After lunch and grocery around Ranch 99, stopped by this place for a simple Boba Milk Tea. The milk tea had a great tangy and strong flavor to it which is something I love. The boba was a great consistency. It looks like this place has a lot of variety and you got to love the little old Chinese lady serving you your Boba. I would come back if I’d like a nice refreshing milk tea once again :)

Oh. My. God. This place is absolutely wonderful on a hot summer day! Their shaved ice with condensed milk is the best, especially because you have so many different add-ons to choose from. The owner is a sweet Chinese lady who I have seen for over 4 years. It’s a small place that has ice cream(american style, which i wouldn’t recommend) and also frozen yogurt that she makes herself. The frozen yogurt(I usually get strawberry) is crushed and mixed with real, fresh strawberries. The yogurt is creamy, thick, cold, and slightly sweet/tart. It’s very different from what you get at Yogurtland. Service is alright since there’s usually only one or two people working, but it’s worth the wait on a hot day. They also have nice little tables and chairs outside to sit in while you enjoy your dessert(:

My first time here was probably at least 15 years ago. My aunt took me here after I went swimming at her place and I remember I would get their lychee ice cream every time. This is a very small shop… I haven’t been back here that often ever since Bambu opened right next door. I got their drinks here a few times… But I never liked it. What I like here most is their shaved ice. They offer a variety of toppings and the price are very reasonable. There was a summer when I have to go here at least 2−3x a week to get their shaved ice and bring it home to enjoy while I watch my Korean dramas. it’s been awhile. I would always get the shaved ice with red beans, grass jelly, extra rice balls, and condense milk. There’s just something so addicting about their rice balls… I just can’t get enough. I will probably be back here again soon to re-live the stress free summer from before.

This review is for their pearl tea. I ordered a black milk tea with pearls. I don’t know why, but it just tasted funny to me. It was sweet, but then the tea was over brewed or something because it had that awful bitter after taste. It was just really… blah. The pearls aren’t that great either. They’re so boring. It seriously tastes like nothing. Like you’re eating balls of bland jello. I would give less stars, but the service was really good. That lady was very sweet and kind. Next time I come here, I’ll get some ice cream since it is an ice cream shop mainly.

My family and I have been coming to Poco Café ever since I was little. We always get the shaved ice — a big one for ~$ 4, enough for 3 – 4 people to share. Our usual is shaved ice with 3 toppings(strawberry, grass jelly, and rice balls) plus condensed milk. The rice balls are to die for — super QQ. They also have ice cream, milk tea, and other drinks. The owner is really nice and the place is super small but cozy. My sister and I drive all the way from Fremont just to get shaved ice from them because it’s the best. Definitely will continue going here for a long time.

Poco Café literally has a unique twist to froyoing. they start with a plain yogurt base and use a «twister» machine to mix the froyo and fruit together. menu: smoothies, froyo, milk teas, ice cream, shaved ice, pearl teas, fruits available: –strawberry –mango –pineapple –raspberry –kiwi –blueberry –raspberry –peach pricing:(s)2.50(m) 3.50(l) 4.50 frodrips –blueberry fruit wasn’t totally grounded up. partial pieces of fruit remain, lots of pulp. i know fibre is good but… –froyo mix kind of sweet tasting though labled as «tart». –wacky wabbit wating 3 stars doubt mikey will like this place. –cash only

I’ve been coming here for years — it’s quite sad that the owner and her husband know my entire family. I feel that I must put 5 stars because I drive 30 minutes every weekend to come here for their Pearl Milk Tea. I swear, they mix in crack, because one day it’s good, and the next day you can’t live without it. I love their shaved ice too, it’s hard to find a place that has good sweet rice balls. Plus, they have generous portions. If you’re vegetarian, ask to try their food, it’s pretty good but it’s all written in Chinese. They started charging tax this past Wednesday(Sad! Why do I know these things??), but it’s still cheap. You have to come here with the right expectations — this place is a consistently good place for boba. No artificial flavors, no powders… P. S. cash only UPDATE: I think their auditor is fickle because they no longer charge tax, woohoo! Also, they sell healthy, all vegetarian food — the menu is written in Chinese. You won’t be able to find anything else like it nearby.
