Terrible place, no heat in the winter… When I asked to switch rooms the General manager told me I had to leave in a rain storm and tried to break through my hotel door… The police are on there way to protect me??? Insane experience!!! Corporate say they have trouble with this guy all the time!!!

I think I pay too much with no ac running and it is hot in the room. Few channels on television. It looks nice inside but not worth for price.

If you want to stay in the same Motel with hookers and drug dealers then this is the place for you. There are better options in Salinas.

We’ve stayed here a couple times. A few of the times heard gun shots but no surprise there. No microwave or fridge don’t stay long. Most of the staff is pleasant. One of the times my reservations was lost and another they told me they booked me two nights but they ended up only doing one night. Toilet backed up one of the nights for no reason and there was a pubic hair in the shower. We found trash under the table but we will stay here in a pinch.

So let’s get things straight. It is a motel. It’s less than 100USD a night. For sure you will not find the same feeling than in a 200USD per night hotel. Let’s start with inside the hotel, the rooms: Honestly, I stay usually in big, more expensive hotels(Sheraton, hilton etc…), I loved the room. Cosy, well arranged. Nice modern feel and look. So well done there. At my arrival at the front desk: The staff was very nice, smiling. Motels for sure comes with some danger since low price can bring poverty which can lead to deliquency. At Motel 6, they have a security agent 24h/24h Bottom line, I would probably do it again if I had to versus other hotels. Tip: Just go there to sleep, enter your room lock it up and dont go out until the next day, a good way to keep safe and far from any drama, if there was any. Also to note, the motel is prstty well located at 10 min from mall, restaurant, theater and motorway(a little noise from motorway but I am a good sleeper and it didn’t bother me, plus you can ask for a room on the other isde which will resolve the issue) Hioe this help,

Bathroom broke down. So that was a bummer, other than that, everything was good.

If there was a way to rate this place a minus 1 I would. It’s the worst and most scary place I’ve ever stayed in the US. Nobody stays here unless they have to. It’s the cheapest motel in San Jose and at $ 90 + a night it’s no bargain! It’s crime ridden, whether it’s prostitutes servicing the truck drivers in the lot next door, or local gang members partying on a Friday night, this motel. 6 will not remember to leave the light on for you!

Let me say that it’s been a looooong time since I’ve spent the night at a Motel 6 and this recent stay reinforces the reason why Motel 6 is not on my short list of places to stay. It was Veteran’s Day and I had to make a reservation for me and my son on a few day’s notice. Because of the fact that it was a holiday, many of my go-to hotels were already booked and those that were available, were priced way higher than my budget was willing to handle. When the reservation was made, I was not informed that the property is currently under renovation. On a high note, it’s good that this property is being rennovated, but truthfully, the room we were assigned should not even be on the list of available rooms. As we drove onto the property, the first red flag was the fact that there was a security officer patrolling the property. We were exhausted, so we let that red flag fly by and checked in. We entered the room and the smell of «old motel room» instantly greeted our noses. The carpet was dirty with several holes that had been patched with mis-matched carpeting; the plastic grille work on the wall air conditioner unit had been shattered, the sheets were extremely threadbare with stains, the bathroom tiles were discolored, the toilet lid was loose, the bath towels were threadbare, there were several unusual stains on the walls and no wall art with only one chair and no Gideon Bible. We shrugged it off since we were two guys and said, «hey, let’s pretend we’re camping.» Don’t get me wrong, camping is fun, but this was not fun. The stairway to the second floor was adjacent to one of our walls and the foot traffic was constant. The occupants in the adjacent room were so annoying as their headboard banged against our wall for 30 minutes on two occasions durng the night. Car horns and alarms honked throughout the night and loud talking people passed our room frequently. As if that were not enough, we finally were able to get to sleep around 3:00 am, only to be awakened by the sounds of the construction crew who began working at 6:30 am. I don’t care if Motel 6 promises to «…leave a light on for you.» I would never choose to stay here or any other of their properties again.
