I love their blended ice coffee with whipped cream but a small for $ 5 is way to pricey plus this one employees girl was kinda rude to me but other employees aren’t

Service here is pretty good. I was helped and out of here in about 10 minutes. The taro milk tea was good and the sandwich was alright — but the eggrolls were soso(pork) I prob won’t get them again.

I’ve never had a bad experience here! I can’t say that about many places but this place has always been great. The bread is always fresh and crispy just the way I like it and I believe it’s made fresh every hour. I come here for the BBQ pork sandwich, SOGOOD. I believe t comes with the bbq meat, onions, cilantro, jalapeños, carrots and Dykon(not sure if that’s spelled correct lol). So along with the sandwiches, they also have pork buns, fried rice plates, spring rolls, egg rolls, desserts all in front of the register as you pay. I recently tried the fresh Sugar cane drink and it was delicious! Thai tea, honeydew milk teas, green teas, Are Also on the menu too. Overall I love this location!

Omg not even sure why I came back here Everytime I’ve came here it’s been horrible. I made the mistake of coming today after work. They refused to make my boba without milk like every other boba place in San Jose does. The man said it wouldn’t taste right yeah we’ll try telling that to my lactose intolerant roomie who I was trying to get a drink for. I prefer the BBQ pork sandwiches but Everytime I come here the sandwich meat is pure fat. So I opted for the chicken #4 today. Well same problem looked like they put all the nasty parts of the chicken no one wants inside my sandwich. I spend half of dinner picking out at least 12 pieces of mystery meat parts and fat caps out of my sandwich. If I had one message to the owner it would be make a decent quality sandwich please use edible meat! And the milk tea concentrates are pre mixed with milk highly sweetened with crazy artificial flavoring was literally the worst milk tea I had ever had. And they weren’t even mixed I had to finish mixing the white crust at the bottom of all the drinks. Please Lees make better drinks and sandwiches I really want to like you guys! I also was told to pull out cash to pay although from the previous review apparently they took her card :/

Located in a not-so-great area I must admit, but it’s conveniently next to where I live so this is my go-to place when I crave Vietnamese sandwiches. Parking is plentiful in this plaza. It’s located right next to TK Noodle. The staff here are very friendly and speak English very well. I always order the #1 combination. I have to admit, the pâté in those sandwiches are a guilty pleasure of mine. I’ve grown to love the spicy jalepenos that add a nice kick to the sandwiches. You can always ask for the pickled vegetables and jalepenos on the side. I also love their pork puff pastry and sweet cream bread. All their prices are very reasonable and affordable imo. Plenty of drinks here. I like their Vietnamese coffee and sugar cane drink, which they make fresh right in front of you. Definitely browse their selection of drinks here. Best of all, YESTHEYTAKECARD!

Omg this place has really come downhill. My husband and I used to go here years ago even before my daughter(now 3) was born. Back then I had one bad experience when they gave me bad turkey on my sandwich and the owner freaked out because I was pregnant at the time. Anyhow I forgot about that incident and came back with no other issues except maybe the place isn’t as well kept and clean as it could be. Today though, today was the last I’m ever gonna see of this place. A young guy working there was prepping our sandwiches as I was watching from our table. I saw him do the following: 1. Cough into his gloved hands 2. Walk over to get a napkin to blow his nose with his gloved hands 3. Proceed to touch our sandwiches /prep boards and ingredients with said gloves 4.cough cough cough and cough without even the tiniest attempt to cover his cough. 5. Touched his face and stuck his finger up his nostril and proceeded to put their wings onto the little boat plates without washing his hands(snot wings anyone?) My husband tried to be polite and just throw away the food and k was like wt*?!’ Nope! I went up to them and asked for a refund got the refund and left their disgusting food bagged and untouched at the table we were sitting.

I do love me some Lees sandwiches ! There are many of them around, but only one in somewhat south San Jose. They are located at Senter and Monterey. Not the greatest part of town, but there lots of good eats in that area. I almost always get the grilled pork, as long as they dont run out. They will make fresh goi cuon for you if you ask. The bbq pork is pretty good too. I’m not much into pearl drinks as they have lots of sugar. Their other sandwiches are very good as well. Their pricing is still pretty good as I’m sure rent in that area isn’t super high. I think one of the most expensive Lees is the Cupertino location on Stevens Creek. The rent is probably pretty high there. My favorite spot is their location downtown on Santa Clara. Plus, TK Noodle is right next door. I can have my soup, goi cuon, and chomp on a sandwich if I want. It’s the same on Monterey, but I don’t care for the TK their. I only go their if absolutely necessary. But if you live on the south side and are craving Lees then this place is fine ! Happy eating !!!

I hadn’t checked the recent reviews until I was killing some time waiting for my sandwich order for my family … really I shouldn’t have checked since it only caused unnecessary worry. Maybe it’s that I grew up in the pre-hand sanitizer era, when we built up our immune systems by letting the dog lick our faces and eating dirt, but I fully expect to find the best ethnic foods in over-stuffed hole-in-the-wall places that might seem a bit grittier than the sanitized and homogenized environments of the modern fast-casual restaurant. My impression is that the shop is cluttered rather than outright dirty, but I suppose that is something that can vary from day to day. I do truly enjoy a good banh mi, and I found Lee’s to excel in some areas and fall short in others, making for an overall average experience. Positives were the baguette, the tenderness of the pork, and the just-right pickling of the shredded carrot and daikon; negatives were the slightly wilted cilantro and the not quite right marinade for the pork. Fast service, inexpensive pricing, and proximity to mom’s house will however keep me coming back when I am visiting the area.

Please don’t come to this place. Save your money for a better place or make yourself a sandwich at home. I feel bad for those who have to work and come to buy food and drinks here. This Lee’s Sandwiches location makes me sick. You can barely get yourself a fresh sandwich because«leftover» is their key to success and prosperity! They run their business with no respect to their customers! Also, the staffs just put the gloves on for fun so don’t expect too much from this place. Live like a human and go McDonald’s or In and Out or whatever!

Fair and moderate pricing, clean, in south San Jose, there maybe some better destinations but for this area, I think this is one of the better sandwich shops. Consistency is prob the biggest problem here, but I’ll be back regularly since its close, family owned, and decently priced. There is way worse, and there is marginally better, this falls right into the top of the middle.

Not the Lee’s Sandwich I remember it being. Was in town visiting the old stomping grounds and was surprised at how downhill it’s come. There was a hair in the macaroon box, no gloves or washing of hands before prepping food/drinks and everything isn’t freshly made(the green waffles were my favorite). My Thai iced tea and taro milk tea had this weird taste to it, almost plastic like where everything was fake tasting. Plus, I stood near the counter to watch my second drink made and the girl kept going to different areas of the kitchen to add stuff so I couldn’t see.

I was shocked to see how my sandwich was prepared under unsanitary conditions. What I observed as one employee was making my sandwich was that we licked his gloved hand after spreading mayo and CONTINUED to make my sandwich with the same glove. I gag just thinking about it. Be careful and watch how they make your food!

Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I hadn’t checked reviews before we came here. This place is NOT good. The cleanliness was moderate, not the cleanest. My boyfriend and I had gotten the same sandwich which they Did serve at an orderly time. My boyfriend ate all of his, but I could barely finish half of mine. Before I had spit it back out and trashed the rest. Number five always has been always will be my favorite from any Lee’s sandwich, but from this place? It was disgusting. Whatever sauce they had put in the sandwich was bitter and sour as hell. The bread wasn’t even good. It tasted like all they did was mix flour and water together and put iit in the oven. Tasted like NOTHING a Lee’s sandwich should taste like. The absolute BEST Lee’s in town is the one downtown San Jose off of Santa Clara and 7(?). We may live close to this one, but we are NEVER coming back.

I loveee lovee lovee vietnamese sandwiches and usually get the classic #1 but this Lee’s sandwiches were really gross. I was watching the girl make my sandwich and I noticed she squirted some soy sauce tasting sauce in my sandwich but I didn’t think much of it. But when I ate it, it was super off tasting and made it salty and wet. I think they need to avoid putting stuff like that in the sandwich because it is not necessary.

How does such a place even stay in business? Stopped by with a friend at 7:55pm — Unilocal AND the signage on their door lay open until 9. We get our food, sit down to eat, and a guy says they close at 8:15. Uhhh okay… We start eating figuring we have about 20 minutes as they start shutting things down around us. Then at 8:03 the same guy comes over and says they’re now closed. What the actual #$@&%?? Screw this place. BTW the«steak and cheese» sandwich was barely food.

When I was young and naïve, this was the place I’d come for Vietnamese sandwiches. Now I realize that there is more to Vietnamese sandwiches than what lees has to offer! Okay it’s not that bad when you’re really craving the sandwiches. But I wouldn’t get it on a regular basis. It’s pricy for the portion of food. And I really like fresh cilantro in my sandwiches. Meaning no stale greens at all. Which I got in my sandwich. :(boo! Not cool. Sorry Lee, I’ve moved on. I hope you understand.

Because there are so many vietnamese sandwiches offered in Santa Jose and where im from, i dont tend to order it. I only Get banh mi at a place by my house so when i go to lees is for their vietnamese coffee or panda waffles or the corn cakes with custard. Only Some Lees offer it so u have to do a little research. Usually the lees that have their own store front will. For those who do come here for the banh mi i will say they are pretty decent the only problem is that the bread can be hard and cut the roof of your mouth. But overall the meat and veggies are good. I prefer the bbq and combination.
