Is there any true foodie Unilocalers out there for quality foods? I was Unilocaling for«bento box» for lunch & this joint popped up. It’s more like a Chinese to go place, nothing sushi nor bento box nor Japanese !! Should of trust my guts when first walked in but felt bad not to walk out when the cashier did the eye contact. So we ordered 2 lunch special, shrimp Hunan & shrimp noodles — both came w free hot & sour soup as its their lunch menu. How should I describe w/o hurting small businesses like this — Panda Express is way safer & tastier than this We had few spoon of their food & left — w/o boxing anything home.

Delivery driver … oh my… One hour 23 minutes later … driver calls me form his cell phone(not the intercom as stated in the instructions) and says the door is locked. I explain use the intercom, I can unlock the door. He refuses. I walk to the lobby, he is gone. I call in to eat 24(awesome people by the way), they get the place to call me. They tell me he is there, in the lobby waiting for me. I look around the lobby, up the street down the street. Nope he’s not there. They start yelling at me that he is there. Sorry, no. They hang up. A few minutes later they call back and say he is on his way. Sure enough he shows up about 8 minutes later, hefting a bag of cold slop and beating on the door. I point to the intercom and he starts screaming about no place to park — despite clearly parking his car to get out of it. So I open the door and he starts yelling at me some more. Meanwhile on the phone they start yelling also. I’ve really had enough of this, so I take my $ 30 cold slop and go back to my apartment. Egg rolls stuck to the wax paper(what happens to them in a microwave), the rest of the slag I just put aside. Thankfully I called eat24 and they took back my tip and the delivery fee. I can find somewhere else to get standard, sub-standard takeout food without being yelled at by an ESL dropout who can’t follow instructions and a manager who lies to people. Go somewhere else. Order from somewhere else. All in all a fun afternoon. The best part was realizing the humor in the South Park«City Wok«joke when I read the receipt«Shiki wok », well yes it was a very«Shiki» experience.

I got the General Tsao’s Chicken to go and it was pretty damn good. It was worth the higher price compared to their other classic dishes like sweet and sour chicken. The service was also spot on. The cashier was very pleasant and courteous. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes!

I don’t know if they changed Chef’s, they used to be good, now the food is flavorless. The delivery menu used to have Japanese menu for dinner, now it is only at lunch time. The prior reviews that said it was good I would agree with. Now… won’t order from them anymore.

I normally LOVE Chinese food. But I was so disappointed with this… The delivery was fast which was nice but the food(chicken chow main, hot and sour soup, pork dumplings) tasted so bad! It was so disappointing. As a college student who doesn’t have a lot of money to spend it was sad. I normally don’t write negative reviews because I feel really bad but I felt like I had to say it.

Really good food and nice portions for the price. And they deliver ! The inside just looks worn down. Old, and if I were to walk by I wouldn’t dare to try the food. Just because of the inside. But that’s why we have Unilocal :)

Have not tried their Japanese or dined in but I have ordered delivery numerous times, and I am always happy by how fast, fresh, and affordable the food is. The customer service is great! Try the garlic chicken, or black bean chow fun, they are my favorite!

Ok many moons ago, in what seems to be the time before time, or a whole other lifetime, I lived in Leigh ave. Right down the street, and I used to come here all the time! I loved this place! Sadly the owner changed(hopefully he is ok) fortunately the food is just as good as it was then! And they have sushi now! The soda fountain is gone, and so is the soy milk!(oh the memories of times gone by) The food portions are good! If you are hungry hit this place, I used to be really chubby so I know about food, and trust me, this is good eats! And they deliver! Can life be better? So just imagine, you have a date with your girlfriend and she wants Chinese food, prepare a romantic setting in your home, dial the seven digits and in no time you have Chinese food with candle light! Things can only get better from there!(so don’t screw it up!)

Just dropped in for a quick meal. Had the #7 Hunan Chicken lunch special, the sliced and sauteed chicken comes with sliced green bell peppers, onions and a generous portion of fried rice. Got to say the flavor was not half bad. Enough for two light eaters. $ 7.95 My friend liked the Mongolian beef lunch special. Considering the price and portions and it’s Friday, 3 stars. I would go back. Customer service: ok. No A/C. The menu said they have Japanese food; but today, the attendant said they didnt’ have any. Tip: sketchy at night time.

I’ve eaten Chinese food here a few times. It always tastes great, but I tend to get a bit of a stomach ache after eating it and my mouth feels extremely dry. I suspect that there is MSG in their food, or at least an overabundance of salt. It’s decent tasting and cheap, though, so overall not bad.

Ordered delivery via the Eat24 app for the first time, just so I could have Chinese food delivered to me. First, it’s delicious. Definitely loved the recommended dishes like Mongolian Beef and the pork pot stickers. Second, on Sunday’s at noon they are busy so expect your order to take about an hour. They couldn’t find my apt even though it was listed in the app with instructions on where to knock. Might be best to contact the restaurant directly to ensure they have all the info in the app. 3 stars for the yummy food, minus 1 for the delay, and minus 1 bc they blamed me for not giving them my apt #. I’d still order from them again, but maybe pick-up next time.

[Delivery review] I have a confession to make. I hate to cook. My wife hates to cook. It’s ridiculous. No worries, though! These guys are the BEST! Just the facts: — They’re listed as «Shiki Wok» in the eat24 app. They serve Chinese food and have a sushi menu. I’ve found the sushi a bit disappointing, but the Chinese food is great! We love the sweet and sour fish, Mongolian beef, and hot and sour soup. I’m a supertaster and my wife loves overly flavorful food, and we both agree on all of the above. — Delivers fast most of the time(occasionally they’re super busy) — a few times the food arrived within 15 minutes. The food is always hot and fresh on arrival. — The delivery staff are so nice! It’s always a pleasant experience. They’ve delivered to my apartment at least 3 times per week for the last year without making me feel ashamed, haha. In fact, I’m sure they feel sorry for us. :D And in case it matters to anyone reading this, it’s bound to be obvious to the delivery staff by now that we’re a married same-sex couple, and they don’t seem to care at all. They’re always friendly, smiling, and helpful. — They’re affordable enough that we regularly order extra food to put in the fridge for leftovers. I definitely recommend it! Here’s the eat24 link in case you want to order:

Food is great, not greasy. Place is clean and staff friendly. What i love is that they offer combination plates for dinner! Beef broccoli, fried rice is tasty, and not loaded w salt. Huge portions too. Also love the pork fried rice. I have ordered delivery too, and unlike ALLISON F who doesnt tip for delivery, I did! How rude to not tip the person bringing you dinner to your door cause ur too lazy to go pick it up… i mean come on, where is ur humanity lol. I have brought friends here too and they all enjoyed the food.

The food wasnt that great. but what pissed me off was the fact that they added a 3 dollar tip to my credit card when i didnt leave a tip and the receipt clearly had a zero with a line thru it and the total price matched order total. Why would i tip a carry out order anyways! When i looked at my statement and saw the added charge I callled and was given the typical i dont understand answer. so I went down there showed the lady and her husband my bank statement and they tried to say my bank did it. Which i then put my bank on speaker phone and had anybody in restuarant hear the conversation with the bank clearly state it was done from them and I could file a claim. Well im waiting for the papers but miracuriously the amount appeared back into my acct… always check your amounts!!! People are scandulous!!!

The wait was too long The food was ok to less than ok. I went here because the place next to it was being remodeled n thought I can just get a quick to-go. It was about a half an hour wait. The general chicken tasted more like orange chicken. Some was hard n chewy. It was like balls of batter. The fried rice had a lot of rice n very little egg. There was no green onions just pea n carrots. They do seem to make it when u order so maybe that’s why it takes a while, but still it’s not the type of chinese food I am used to. It was decent but even Panda Express tastes better.

I always think delivered food is going to be inferior — the price you pay for the convenience of delivery. But Kim Wok was a wonderful surprise. The order was delivered in less than half an hour even though they are in Willow Glen and we live downtown(at least a 3 mile distance.) We ordered small plates and everything was delicious! Spicy beans were spicy but the beans were crisp. The egg rolls were crisp but not too greasy. Hot and Sour soup was chock full of great veggies and tasty tofu(I am not a fan of tofu but this was delicious). Everything was so good — and all for just over $ 20. I will be ordering from Kim Wok regularly from now on.

One thing I really like about them is the taste which is homemade and great portion as well. They are friendly and always greet you warm and nice. Highly recommend them, if looking for a great homemade taste of delicious Asian dishes.

My husband is a patient at SCVMC and we are at the mercy of take out, delivery and restaurants if we don’t want to eat hospital food! We had family visiting… Had to feed 12 people… This place was great! The lady made sure I was ordering enough food, packed us everything from plates to soy sauce dipping containers, and got the large order right! The food was hot, fresh and made it within 30 min! The boneless pork rib appetizer and the Mongolian beef were BOMB! The only downfalls were: the price– kinda spendy for Chinese food and the ‘crab’ in the rolls was imitation crab and wasn’t event good quality imitation! Overall… Pretty darn ok!
