Can be a little pricey and sometimes the service is wonky but I keep coming back anyway because John’s has a strange charm. Great menu and they do a great breakfast. Really nice patio seating too.

Went here for breakfast with my friend. She loves this place so I had high expectations that were not met. I got the blueberry pancakes. I was underwhelmed by the bland and flour-y taste, the kind I always fear will appear in my pancakes. They obviously used frozen blueberries rather than fresh. Something so simple to do makes such a big difference and it was sad to see that they didn’t take the extra step to make a delicious pancake. I also ordered a latte that was different from a typical latte. The milk was extremely foamy but good none the less. Overall, I will not return because I could make a much better breakfast or go out somewhere much better.

I love breakfast here at Johns! The Monterey crab cake eggs Benedict is SO delicious. They make fresh hollandaise sauce here and it is about the beat I ever had. It can get crowded but I’ve always had great service and amazing food! Kudos Johns!

Our favorite pizza place!!! We always end up getting a small cuz it’s a lot bigger than advertised. More than enough to feed two hungry girlsWe always get a booth and they have great beers on tap. Even beers to go. Only 4 stars cuz sometimes it gets ghetto but hey, it’s not their fault.

Just a heads up on the special going on now regarding blue cheese on a hamburger along with bacon and grilled onions. Mine had feta cheese and when I alerted the cook, he insisted the cheese on my burger was really blue cheese! Incredible. Sad to say, it was a big disappointment. Not going back although never had such a problem as this before.

I’m a creature of familiarity and highly uncomfortable with change, BUT I figured, I’m not really living if I’m not trying different places to see if I they would have better crab cake benedicts than Bill’s Café. Came here during brunch on a weekend and it wasn’t too packed. We sat at the patio, and of course I ordered the crab cake benedict, which was a bit of a disappointment. It just wasn’t the same as Bill’s café. The hollandaise sauce just tasted weird. I can’t exactly place the taste, but it just did not sit well with me. Crab cake was okay. not as big and thick as Bill’s. I don’t think I’d come back to try it out because it’s not all that great,

Good food. Coffee is nothing special. About as expensive as other restaurants in the area. Good service. The restaurant is rather loud. At yes it is hard to hear people at your table. Outdoor seating is good in the spring and summer. Parking is available. Walking distance to more shopping.

I have gone here within the past 5 years, most recent today for lunch with my sister. There food is top notch, hot and yummy! There is a nice size parking lot. The only thing they can work on is better table service.

Always good food and friendly service. They have the best breakfast in Willow Glen and fast service. Their eggs benedict are airways a good choice.

We came here on a Saturday morning and it was not crowded. Not sure if we were early or why there was no wait for four people(plus a toddler). We were seated immediately but the waitress didn’t have her best morning. It felt like everything is too much work for her, bringing the menu, taking the order etc. My favorite part about this restaurant is that you can order two pancakes instead of bread/fruit. I ordered an egg scramble and with the additional two pancakes it was a huge plate. The egg benedicts looked good but I didn’t taste them. I would give 4 stars for food but the overall experience was not more than 3.

Got here nice and early, pretty empty. The waitress is markedly unfriendly. Ok maybe not markedly unfriendly, but cold There are at least two service people wearing perfume that follows them in a cloud. I don’t like smelling strong perfume because I end up tasting it in my food. The décor is really nice. I might try it for lunch or dinner sometime but I hope to get a different waitress. The food is OK. The jack cheese looks like white American cheese. The toast is nicely toasted but not hot. The«extra crispy» hashbrowns taste extra oily but don’t look dark. I give it a eh.

Nice place to come if you’re looking for a decent meal with good service. I was very happy with the seafood fettucine I ordered. Service was quick, lots of options on the menu to fulfill most cravings. :)

Dog friendly, great service, great food! Love this place! It’s hard to find dog friendly spots and this is a good one!

Friendly service, but the quality is lacking. The bread is not tag — stale and tastes off. Not a good start. We had lemon chicken orzo soup and it was over seasoned with lemon. Gyro salad was ok, the Gyro meat wasn’t bad but then the price for what you get didn’t give me a sense of value. With Opa down the street, definitely better Greek restaurants out there for dinner. I do want to try their breakfast as I’ve heard good things about that.

Johns has a large variety of different foods on their menu. This is my go to place for a nice casual breakfast/lunch/dinner environment that is not too stuffy, but can relax. My absolute favorite is their dolmades. I’ve been to many greek restaurants, but these are amazing. The lemon sauce that is on top of the dolmades is perfect. Breakfast is always good and can be busy on the weekends. John’s is also a place that all ages can enjoy, including families. Reasonably priced.

This place is whatever. The food is basic, nothing fancy or special about it. The reason for the 2 star is due to the service. It took us about 1hr to get our BREAKFAST… I’d understand if it was a fully packed place, but it was only about 50% occupied. I will NOT be coming back here again.

Went here for breakfast yesterday. Three of us couldn’t resist the asparagus scramble. Another friend chose the scramble with Salmon. They scrambles were all great with hash browns and toast. We really lucked out showing up there at 11:00 on a Sunday morning because it’s always packed… but a table opened up as soon as we arrived. Service was very good and YES they asked if we wanted water! And of course that’s good since we’re in a drought. And Yes we did drink all of our waters, lol The coffee was fair, I’ve never been a fan of restaurant coffee. But the meal definitely made up for it. Even though the restaurant was busy service was great. The hostess was very friendly and the wait staff was very efficient. Never bothersome or intrusive but they were there when we needed some hot sauce! Now I need to get back there for lunch or dinner to try some of their other menu items.

Have eaten here a few times in the last few weeks. Have had breakfast, lunch and dinner. I like it. It’s not fancy or gourmet food but it is good. For breakfast I had the breakfast sandwich. It was good. I was expecting a single fried egg but it almost reminded me of having an omelet on a croissant. The egg was good and the croissant was delicious. Flaky and buttery. I got it with fresh fruit and the fruit was really good. Freshly cut bananas, melon, grapes. I was expecting canned so was pleasantly surprised. The husband had scrambled eggs and bacon and enjoyed his meal. For lunch I have had the gyros salad. It was a huge salad. I thought the gyros was tasty but there was not that much of it. The husband had the gyros sandwich and it was really good. Will try that in the future. Dinner…I had the pork souflaki on pita. It was really good. The other half… he had steak. It was a little overcooked but he liked it. So.the downside. .I tried their soup twice. One was minestrone and the other was the Greek lemon soup. Both were really, really, really salty. Couldn’t eat them. I also think the service can be a little spotty. Is it the best food ever? No. But it is a good solid meal. Will definitely be a patron going forward.

Sad to leave a poor review here. Was a favorite of several years. Love the hot dolmades with lemon sauce and family vibe. Last time I went I got serious food poisoning. Also the adult daughter(of the Owner, I think) provides horrible service & is astoundingly rude.

John’s is an underrated hidden gem in Willow Glen. Everyone who works here always gives a warm greeting and friendly service. The only negative thing I could say is that it definitely caters to the older crowd. Would I bring a group of my mid 20’s friends to eat here? Probably not. But a dinner with parents and/or family? Sure! Love their Greek spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo, sliders, lemon soup, and house salad.
