If you want to know what ripe fruit is supposed to taste like, stop by J&P and prepare to have your taste buds blown! Awesome fruit stand. Self service and pay by honor system. Phil Cosentino, «Mr. Produce» is on hand to tell you about all of the varieties(some of them rare) of fruit. Check on line to see the weekly fruit list to know what is available. I recently picked up peaches, plums and apples. All super delicious.

Awesome, fresh-picked fruits! There’s not a very wide variety, but everything is seasonal, fresh, and the grower is there to tell you all about the varieties, and when the different types of fruits ripen. Delicious apricots, cherries, kumquats, and figs! There’s much more, but I haven’t tried everything there.

Actual, RIPE fruit, picked off the tree and available at the farm stand nestled in a neighborhood near Camden and 85. Picked up 4 different kinds of apricots, including one called«Moorpark» and two kinds of peaches today. I just bit into one of the peaches and said, out loud, «OMG.» You won’t find anything like this at any farmer’s market — ripe fruit just doesn’t transport well. Stop by this stand and get whatever is local and in season and you won’t regret it. Thank you Mr. Cosentino!

This farm stand has the most amazing fruit stand around. Phil has a small hobby farm and grows fruit you can’t get anywhere else. The most amazing peaches, apricots, plums, etc. He picks the fruit and walks it over to the stand. You can’t get it fresher or riper. If you don’t eat some the fruit right away, it can go bad on you. It is THAT ripe. Amazing. If you are lucky, Phil will be there and tell about his amazing fruit or the history of the area. Select your fruit, drop the money in the slot and you are on your way to a brief visit to heaven.

April to November the stand is open. Simple the most wonderful, freshest, sweetest fruit to be found in the Santa Clara valley. I live around the corner. Waiting for the first berries, plums and peaches of spring, summer and fall. If you know Cosentino’s market, Mr produce from KLIV1590am. Then you know of Phil the man behind the orchard and last of the fruit stands that once lined the valley. So sweet so perfect flavor is the fruit. he gives tours and free samples. The stand is an honor stand. Last of a forgotten time. The price is so low for the taste of sugar sweet fruit, dead ripe. Organic for most fruit. except apples. Thank you Jean and Phil for showing my kids what i had as a boy for fruit. growing up in San Jose. Kurt
