Been going to this place since I was small. Whether a cut or color i am always left satisfied! I only trust Ivy to do my hair and will always go back to her. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend (and his boyfriend) get their hair cut here and I’ve been trying to find a place to do a new do for me. I decided I’ve had enough of my ridiculously long (and thick) hair and wanted to lop it all off! The boyfriend made an appointment for me on Sunday morning with Nancy (who usually cuts their hair) and I have to say… I was a bit nervous that I’d end up with a hair cut like the boys.
But Nancy was super sweet, she asked me what I wanted and she went through a book of hair styles with me to find something that I liked. She ended up making a couple of suggestions for me before she started to lop off my hair! Because I have enormous amounts of hair, she had to section off TONS hair to cut it. An hour later, I had an awesome new do that I loved! She really took time to go through all the layers and she made sure to ask me all the important questions (like if I needed to put my hair up for work and how I would like my bangs). And even when she had three drop-​by clients waiting to get their hair cut, she still took the time to flat iron my hair (to check to make sure all the ends were straight) and to blow dry it.
TL;DR: I adore Nancy and would definitely come back again to get my hair cut. She takes the time to make sure everything she plans on doing you’ll like. And it only came out to $ 28 before tip which was not bad at all for how much time she spent with me to cut my hair.

I’ve been coming here for a very long time (since 7^th grade) because my sister’s friend’s mom owns this hair salon. I only trust Ivy with my hair cuts. She’s been cutting my hair for a long time and she always knows what to do with my hair. For the longest time I had long hair and she wanted me to chop it off, but she never did. She is very precise with the scissors and knows how to perfectly thin out my thick hair!

Hong Kong hair has never disappointed me. I’ve been coming here for years and Ivy does an amazing job every time. From trims to perms, I trust her fully with my hair. The atmosphere is both comfortable and professionally and I highly recommend this salon to everyone.

Yes I had another updo done by Ms Ivy And my updo looked fabulous!
I showed a pic of what I wanted, and again, she got the look right!
She did warn me however, that my hair was going to have a little more volume because its so long… and she was right. She did get the look down and once again, I was super happy with the outcome. Simple and elegant. Fantastic

I was looking for a trim and Nancy did a great job!
Instead of going to the mall on Black Friday, I went to the Ranch 99 plaza to find someone to trim off all off my dry damaged hair from too many perms. I remember going to Hong Kong II when I was younger to get my hair cut, so I just walked in.
The experience was great! Nancy didn’t cut off too much of my hair and really spent the time trimming every strand using traditional scissors, demonstrating a real master, not one using fancy tools.
She also suggested that I try a «hot oil» treatment to make my hair look shiny and healthier. She was not pushy and only mentioned it casually. I agreed to have it done. It ended up being a very thick conditioner from Japan that she combed into my hair and steamed in for 30 minutes.
After an hour and a half at the salon, I walked out very happy. My hair looked instantly healthier and softer, no longer hay-​like. I was worried that the «hot oil» treatment was just a mask that would go away after my next wash. Two weeks later, I am still very satisfied, which is why I wrote this review. My hair is soft, bouncy, and the curls from my perm 4 months ago are still intact.
I will definitely go back if I ever just need a trim.

I like going here for my hair cuts because I usually have good experiences. My sister gets her hair cut by Ivy and she does a good job layering and making super thick hair feel light and voluminous. I’m not one to make a fuss by making special requests for a stylist so I just come in and settle with anyone who’s willing to cut my hair. I realize this is a bad policy when it comes to your hair style so next time I will be asking for Jack. He gave my last haircut and I’ve gotten so many compliments. My friends even said that this was the best haircut I’ve ever had so I think that’s a good sign! Jack is super friendly and keeps the conversation going so you’re not bored. I originally wanted a trim because I wanted to keep the length. He convinced me to cut off more because my hair was pretty damaged. He ended up cutting off all my dry hair and the split ends. My hair felt so smooth, no more tangles! He really listened to what I wanted in terms of style and gave me the kind of layers I was looking for. Repeat customer, I will be.
