We had an offer in on a house and were in the middle of inspections when we discovered that about half the home was still wired with knob & tube. Knowing that it’s a fire hazard and can nullify your homeowner’s insurance in the event of a claim, we gave Miguel a call to find out what it would cost to re-​wire the home with romex. It was a Saturday, and without knowing us he showed up in an hour and gave us a very fair quote. Just to be clear… he showed up on a Saturday… for a quote… without charging us for his time!
Well we bought the home, and needless to say we gave him the job. It took he and his crew just three days to complete the work, and they did an excellent job. We initially thought they would have to cut holes in the drywall above every single switch and outlet to facilitate the work. They somehow managed to drill up through the crawlspace into the right locations however, and re-​wire the house with minimal impact. When it was all over, there were just five holes to patch!
After the patching and painting were completed, he came out twice more to install a fixture and change an outlet to match our electric dryer. We are thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Highland Electrical!
