She’s a expert and passionate about what she does. She has done a awesome job cutting and color especially the first time she did my hair it was sooo bad she saved me! little by little she is getting my hair lighter. I always walk out happy she never disappoints! She is too good that its hard to book appointments with her, so book your appointments ahead I have mine till 2017 im not risking it. There is no one like her she is the BEST!

Lily is the best! I’ve been getting my hair done by Lily for about 2 years. When I first went to her, my hair was a horrible brassy color, something I had unfortunately done to myself. Lily was not only able to correct the color, but I walked out with a beautiful, natural, beachy balayage. Thanks to Lily, I feel like a Victoria’s Secret model, minus the face and body, lol.

Lily is freakin AMAZING!!! I would highly recommend her to anyone! I’ve had three sessions with her and I always get so many compliments on my hair all the time. I don’t trust anyone to cut or color my hair. It’s totally worth the wait. She is very passionate and takes great pride in her work. Thank you Lily!

Lily is amazing! First let me tell you that you probably won’t achieve the hair color you want in one sitting because it takes time to lift the natural color you have and lily doesn’t want to ruin your hair which I really appreciate. I love how she is very upfront about this during your first session. I’ve been going to her now for about 3 – 4 sessions and I have loved it. I always get compliments on how my hair looks and I can’t wait to get to my «goal» color. I will not go to any other colorist except for lily!

Lily is an amazing artist. She does awesome work! I would highly recommend her to anyone! She listens to what you want and makes sure you get it. She takes great pride in her work and you can certainly tell just by how passionate she is during the whole process. She’s also very ambitious with keeping with the latest trends and techniques which is probably what makes her final results as amazing as it is. She learns from the very best, Guy Tang, so you know she will not disappoint! I went in for an ombré balayage last week. I had an existing ombré balayage which wasnt bad, but I felt like it need some life breathed into it. This, Lily did achieve! My hair now has the life, dimension, and depth I was looking for. I opted for a smokey grey tone and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Lily also recommended things to do to help preserve the color and take care of your hair. Most hairdressers don’t bother, but (I don’t know, maybe they want to see you in their salon more often?) Lily made sure my hair was going to remain looking as good months from the day I left her salon. I also loved the way she cut my hair! Thank you Lily!

I’ve gotten my hair done plenty of times before, and while the stylists were pretty good, they weren’t **great**, mainly because my hair started turning a little orangey over time, which I abhor. Let’s just say I was never really in love with my hair, no matter how much $ I shelled out.
Then I found Lily! It seemed impossible to book an appointment with her, but one night I scrolled through Instagram and I saw her post, saying that someone cancelled an appointment and that it’s up for grabs. You bet I texted her ASAP, LOL. It’s the only way to get in w/​her now, so watch your Instagram!
Fast forward to my appt day: I showed Lily what I wanted, and she told me it was impossible in 1 session because my hair was too dark, and that she didn’t want to damage my hair. I then asked about babylights, which costs more $ & time. She was extremely honest and told me that balayage+ombré would be better for me for now, and that I can try babylights later on if I really wanted when my hair was lighter. I was impressed w/​her honesty, because it just shows that she’s looking out for my best interest over the money!
With that said, I asked for an ashy ombré + balayage, and it turned out better than I ever expected! Of course any sort of chemical treatment will damage your hair, but my hair was still relatively healthy. Lily even let me in on her secret on how to maintain the color so that it wouldn’t fade to an orange, a secret that she said she only shared with clients & not people that she disliked, LOL.
She’s personable, hilarious, honest, and just magic when it comes to hair. I live in NY for school, and will only get my hair done w/​Lily now when I come back during breaks; she’s that good!

Lily is AMAZING. This is my second balayage session with her and I get so many compliments on my hair all the time. My hair is dark so it’s prone to brass but Lily has really helped minimize the brass. She is really passionate and knowledgable about hair. You have to book your appointments way ahead of time but I promise the wait is worth it.

In order for me to see Lily, I have to request a day off work and drive over 2 hours. Yes, it’s inconvenient, but it’s completely worth it. In my opinion, your hair is your most important accessory. Also getting the right results with hair coloring is no joke. So why not go to an expert where you know you’re giving your hair quality treatment? It’s taken me a while to find a great hairstylist and I feel super lucky to have found one in Lily. I always walk away feeling super confident, and let’s face it ladies, that’s everything you want your hair to do for you.

I love Lilly! This was my second session and I’m already light light .I first time I came in I had 5 different colors in my hair it was a mess, she fixed it toned it down and gave me a good base and this time we could finally lighter my hair.
I wanted to try the new grey silver look but she gave my her honest opinion which I highly appreciate and then she let me decide. Obviously I don’t want to damage my hair so she gave me few strands here n there so I can have a feel of it and I love it .she made me soooo happy
I have already booked her for my next 4 sessions which will go all the way in 2017. That’s how good she is

Lily is my go to girl when it comes to my hair! I don’t trust anyone to cut or color my hair. She definitely changed my hair game. Worth the long wait. Consider booking in advance, her wait list is no joke.

We don’t call her the «Guy Tang of San Jose» for no reason!
After doing lots of research on Unilocal and Instagram, I decided to put myself on a 3 month waitlist for Lily’s services because I was literally forking out thousands of dollars on my hair needs yearly and only receiving 70−80% of the results I wanted. Boo to wasting my hard earned money! Originally, I was wiling to actually fly out to see Guy Tang himself but since he’s not accepting new clients till unicorns and fairy princesses come to life, my high maintenance hair and myself can’t wait that long!
My first appointment with Lily was quite surreal. Not only did I fall in love with her comedic comments but her honesty and bluntness as well. I sat in her chair for 6 hours. Yes, 6 amazing girl-​talk-​it-​up hours. I told her to make me silver gray. And unlike other stylists she was 100% honest with me and said it’s going to take more than just one session for my wants and needs and that that color is not sustainable. I also asked her to just chop off my hair cause I was sick and tired of the weird medium length it was at (Lily was not too fond of this idea since she likes the longer curled look to accentuate her hard work, but she decided to keep my crazy ass happy).
Funniest thing happened after we washed my hair and started the blow drying process… Lily actually got my hair gray in ONE session! And on top of that, the cut was perfect for me! Lily, you say you don’t like cutting hair, but you’re good at it girl! :)
Before I left Lily’s chair during my first session and after our Instagram photoshoot, Lily says firmly, «Don’t you dare come back here and ask me to make you go dark. You’re staying blonde b*tch!» ;)
My second session with Lily was last month, and to be quite honest I was nervous going in because as of 2015 I’ve decided to budget a lot better and be a little less high maintenance with everything that involves my «looks». With that being said, I was going to ask Lily to make me go… darker. Ahhh! So of course I go in and word it like, «So…I definitely want something less high maintenance and probably can’t afford to see you till summertime so… do you think we should make me go darker?» So Lily then explains to me that if I went darker it will eventually lighten up again to a brassy nasty color which is the opposite of what I want. We decide (Lily decides), that I should just continue to go lighter and throw on more of a silver blue toner to keep me ashy. I agree. 3 hours later I’m actually gray again but more subtle this time.
If you’re a brunette who can’t stand warm tones or brassy hair, Lily is YA GIRL! You want ASH? She’ll give you ASH and more (gray) honey!
I’m actually very thankful Lily talked me out of going dark because I’m not one to really like my natural… anything! :P
I can’t wait to see her again and chat more about her recent visit and selfies she took with Guy Tang!
p. s. If you don’t know who Guy Tang is… you probably have virgin hair which means you don’t need a professional hair colorist… or you have brassy ass hair. Just sayin. :P

Lily is the ONLY person that had ever given me a good haircut, and she’s the most dexterous hairdresser when it comes to coloring. I am loving my grayish brown hair!
