Great quality foods at great bites. I stumbled upon this place after a workout, and was amazed. I would recommend this place to my clients!

I love this place! Not too many places in town where you can go to get healthy but delicious food!!! The owners are so nice too!

Bad Food /Worst Service. The food is bad and the service isn’t any better. And it’s not even the staff. It starts with the owner, Fenny. She is really rude. Reading other people’s comment, they’re right about this place! Against people’s suggestions, I still decided to give this place a try because it is so close to my house. I ordered a body builder burrito. it was very dry and I waited in line for about 3 mins to ask for some sauce… she saw me waiting and never acknowledged me or ask if I needed anything. We made eye contact and she went into the back. Business 101: Take care of your customers!

Delusional owners, over priced/under flavored food. Can not recommend in good faith. I stopped by last week after doing some searching online for prepared health food meals, as I am in SJ on business and like to eat light when out of town. Called ahead to see if they had some meals ready to go instead of placing an order. They did, 20 or 30 I’m told. I purchase 9 of them without really inspecting the contents, my fault. I just read the labels. Turkey meatballs, basil chicken, «spicy» chicken and«yellow» chicken. Whatever yellow chicken is? The meatballs were the highlight, both spicy and yellow varieties of chicken being the low points. Main complaints are flavor and price. Flavor, there is none. I understand the need to keep it minimal to adhere to strict competition diets. But some fresh rosemary, cracked pepper, shallots, garlic, ANYTHING, can go a long way without caloric impact. They are professional steamers and not much else from a culinary perspective. Steamed rice, steamed veggies, steamed poultry. For $ 9 you get 1⁄3 of a chicken breast, 2 slices of zucchini and 2 massive ice cream scoops of white rice. I understand the business is based around convenience, but that is insane! That’s easily a 1200% markup. The meatball dish came with 3, which was better. But still, 2 pieces of broccoli and 2 massive scoops of rice, and oh goody, 2 grapes too! The way the owners have addressed some of the complaints here on Unilocal is alarming. Why instigate conflict when you can take the high road? Reality check! You’re overpriced and boring! Deal with it.

It is really too bad that the service here I got was so lackluster because the food and shakes they offer actually seem amazing. I walked in this afternoon and was barely acknowledged at all. I picked up a menu and started to read the options while a man with glasses at the cashier(owner?) gave me the eye. No greeting whatsoever. I broke the silence and said I was deciding between shakes and food and wanted to go with a shake and he recommended the F-Shake(8 oz egg whites, banana, peanut butter). I asked about the sugar content and he said the only sugar comes from the banana so plus 1 star for a truly clean shake. You get a choice of chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry flavor and of course I went with chocolate :) Shake itself came out to $ 11.50 which is expensive obviously but it was HUGE. I actually felt really full after drinking it and I have a pretty crazy appetite lol. It was delicious too, just peanut buttery enough to feel indulgent without being heavy. The man who came in after me was obviously a regular and the owner greeted him super warmly so I felt a little upset that just because I was a new customer I didn’t get this same treatment. I would love to come back and try more things on the menu but honestly was a little intimidated by the owners attitude. :( Green Bites is super close to my house plus I’m planning on competing in a bikini competition in July, so I’m definitely curious about their meal prep plans. Maybe next time I’ll have better luck.

1 star is a compliment. I ordered 15 meals to start and try them out. Oh man am I happy I only got 15 because this place is a joke. I got the pack with chicken steak tilapia and ground turkey. They we so small I couldn’t help but laugh. The meat was so dry I didn’t even finish it. Tilapia was just as dry. They also give you a whopping three spinach leaves in each meal so we can get our veggies, you know? Called and said I want a refund, the owner couldn’t stop arguing and kept saying I’m wrong. HA! My advise would be to make your own damn food.

The reviews are correct. The owners are very rude. I’m a bodybuilder and this would be a great place for me to go, but the attitude and excessive prices drive me away. I have gone here many times and used to refer friends here but after the last time I came in and was ignored, I walked out without ordering and will never return. Every time I am here I’m treated like an idiot. The owner talks down to his customers. I will be redirecting my clients who spend hundreds a week here elsewhere. 2 stars for the convenience of truly clean food. Would be 3 stars but closed on weekends and early on weekdays.

These guys really know what they are cooking. Food is great and in perfect proportion. I’ve grabbed meals from their to-go section and also ordered on the spot. I work from home a few days a week and it’s much easier to have lunch already prepped and ready to go, plus its healthy. I plan to keep coming back!

Green Bites does it like no one else! I go there to pick up clean, balanced(and delicious) meals that are perfect for a busy lifestyle and/or a fitness/weight loss/competition prep focus. I wish I would have known about their prepared meals while I was prepping for a bikini competition! Now I order prepared meals in chunks of 15 or 40 and they are perfect for the work week when I don’t have time to cook lunch plus pre and post workout meals. I usually stick with chicken and turkey for my orders, but when I stop in to pick up my meals I like to grab a meatloaf or turkey meatball meal from the cooler– SOGOOD! The meals I order stay in my freezer and I pull a few out at a time to defrost in the fridge. I really count on Green Bites for healthy, easy food that doesn’t set off my very sensitive system. Thanks, guys!

My friends recommended me to this place, I usually prep my own food but since I’m working, going to school and about to have surgery, I thought it was a good idea to get meal prep to that I don’t have to stress as much. The meals and sauce were pretty good, and kept me full. I picked them up on Tuesday at 5PM and by Friday 12PM the veggies were already yellowed and smelled when I opened up the Tupperware. I talked to the manager on the phone and he says since its fresh, it only last 2 – 3 days. Because they don’t use preservatives. I cook my own food, and people on Instagram do too… Yet they prep enough food for the whole week. I guess it might work for other people … But I don’t have the time to pick up 2 – 3 times a week. The owner also says that he remembers explicitly telling me when I picked up the food that it lasts only a couple days and also to freeze half my meals… What’s weird is… I didn’t even pick up my food, my boyfriend did… 1. Fresh food doesn’t last only 2 – 3 days. That means all the fitness Instagram people are eating mold. He may have cooked it that day, but that means the veggies are too mature. In the initial email he did tell me that I didn’t have to pick them up all at once. I figured I could finish about 2 at work a day, so I decided to get all 15. 2. You can’t say that you remember explicitly telling me when I was about to walk out the door to freeze my food… When I wasn’t even there. I’ll give him some credit for offering to change out my veggies. Even though it has already been a couple days, and the old veggies have been sitting on top of the rest of the food. Of course I didn’t take the offer. I just wanted the old ones switched out but he wouldn’t compromise because he wanted to instill in my mind that it was actually my fault… While we were still talking he turned on the blender and I couldn’t hear him anymore. Tried to make reason and even a decent goodbye but I stopped hearing from him, so I hung up. Also, I saw him attack the other girl who left a review saying he doesn’t care if there’s bad reviews or good reviews because it brings in business… Well that’s good for you guys I guess because my business here is done after this review. Incidents in business are opportunities for the owners to be the hero in the situation… Instead it’s about counting how many dollars is going to be lost by solving the situation, and pointing fingers at who’s at fault.

The reply from the owners. I don’t check my Unilocal notifications that frequently, but I figured better late than never: Fenny K: Business Owner This review is such BS it’s not even funny. We have been making that same burrito for 3 years and charged the same amount for it every time. And it IS how we do it — start with a regular burrito, leave out the eggs and add sweet potato, vegan cheese and add avocado. The last things we always charge extra for — it’s on the menu. The almond late is also listed just that way. A latte, and we always extra charge for almond milk. I can’t think of a single establishment that does not charge extra for almond milk, vegan cheese or avocado. Being vegan is not cheap. Now, the sneeze thing is just ridiculous. The grill is 4 to 5 feet away from the state mandated hand wash sink which we are all trained and accustomed to using some 20 – 30 times a day. So, it is your pretension that she sneezed into her hand(which is actually the correct way to sneeze), then walked out of the kitchen, through the restaurant and into the restroom in the back, a more that 70 foot walk, instead of turning around and using the hand wash sink 5 feet away. This part of the review reads desperate. Another thing — you may not know that every time someone posts a review on Unilocal we get busier. Good or bad it helps us out. So, as effective as you probably think you are, you’re not. This review hasn’t actually been bad for business. Several people read it and said«I just couldn’t believe what I read was true so I just had to come in and see for myself!» Good day!

Green Bites… Bites. There is nothing«green» about this place. The name is deceiving. It’s not a café either. This place sells meal prep meals that are heavy on animal protein and they sell fitness«drinks» … Where are the green bites? Most pictures on here are inaccurate, just like their name

The food looks good, and my friend liked his burrito, but heads up for vegans: they don’t do any vegan food anymore!!! They were also out of kale chips when I just tried to get a snack so I could sit with my friend while he ate, and then I tried to get the veggie juice, and they were also out of that.(It was only 11:45am so not sure why they were out of everything) Ugh — frustrating! Oh well, I won’t be back but that’s only because I’m vegan. If you’re not then you can ignore my review. * Update: My friend said he didn’t like the bodybuilder burrito after all because he bit into gristle several times, and both the chicken & tomato were in large slices that made it difficult to eat.

I was not impressed. Came on a random weekday for a late lunch. I saw on Unilocal what must have been an old menu full of interesting sandwich options and other things. They had changed the menu to basically just offer really expensive smoothies and these protein-based meals. I guess if you are like really really into eating only the most healthy food in the world with completely no flavor, this would be your spot. But I had one of the protein plates with chicken, broccoli and brown rice. It was all well-prepared but obviously with zero salt, pepper or any kind of spices used. I think you can still make good, healthy food that tastes like something. This tasted so bland that I had to use the chili sauce they gave me to make it edible, and I don’t even like chili sauce. The smoothie options sounded pretty good but they were all like $ 7 – 10 which to me is like at least twice as much as I’d pay for a smoothie… those things never fill me up for long and then it’s like empty calories where you feel full but get hungry again 1 hr later. I guess I don’t get the concept here. Maybe if you are into body building and super clean eating and such you’d like it. But no flavor? Was not my thing.

I will be honest, I was excited to purchase the pre-made meals from this place and the price point is good don’t get me wrong, but the food is not good at all. I know these meals are for the health minded people, seriously no taste though? I ordered the chicken and turkey(mind you it’s more expensive). I’m sure the café food is great but there is absolutely no taste in the neither of the 15 meals I ordered. Also, on their IG account, they seemed nice by their posts but after going there in person, I didn’t get the same feeling. Glad I got to try it out, even referred 2 other people to order the 15 meal plan, but unfortunately they too felt the same way.

Maybe because I came right before the July 4th holiday weekend right before closing time but it 4 of the 6 things I wanted to order originally weren’t available. Oh well. The food came and the portions were small. The chicken was very overcooked. The banana-banana protein shake was decent although they also ran out of banana protein powder and had to replace it with the vanilla whey protein.

It is too bad they are closed on the weekends but coming from someone that strictly works and enjoys the Mondays-Fridays schedule, I completely understand. Been in my bookmarks forever but I never looked into the menu until recently. I told my boss that I would be in late because I wanted to see my daughter on her last day at Toyon Elementary. I had Gavin w/me but he had his fruit and yogurt in the car so it was just me that was hungry. I was in Los Gatos and wanted the omelette soufflé from Los Gatos Café but I refrained because I needed to start cutting. Right when I drove into the parking lot, I saw a sign that says, «Body builders welcomed» and suddenly I knew that I was going to love it. There are a few scattered tables but this place is definitely for folks ordering their meals, shakes, treats, etc. to-go. They have most of the macronutrients breakdowns on most items on the menu. Meal-prepping is available. They have a variety of selections you can choose from. You can sub one thing to double another. Like if I want low to zero carbs, I can opt for double spinach and no rice. They also give discounts to first time buyers. I got an omelette(3 egg whites, 1 egg) w/salsa and avocado on the side. This is something I definitely can do at home w/my eyes closed but it was a joy to eat w/o feeling sad. I feel sad when I go to an all American breakfast joint and opt for fat-free cottage cheese instead of hash browns. I do. I get sad. Looked over to my right and saw protein cookies(ingredients listed) and a few prepped meals. It was rather pricey but I know that I am eating something healthy and wholesome. I passed on the cookies but got the elk meatballs rice meal. I did not like the wasabi sauce(never been a fan) but the elk meatballs were delicious. If I am stranded in San Jose after work, a shake from this place will be my dinner moving forward.

The menu looks great, lots of good choices for people who work out a lot. I came here to try the All Vegan Burrito which filled me up and tasted good. I’ll give it two stars for the quality of the food, location and cleanliness of the restaurant, but I probably won’t be back unless I order food over the phone for pick-up. Customer service needs some work, they’re a bit pretentious.

I came here today to get a healthy breakfast and ordered the omelet which had mushrooms, spinach and cheese with a side of vegan sausage. I was a little confused when I got my breakfast expecting one thing however I didn’t know there vegan sausage would be diced potatoes with quinoa and spices to «taste» like sausage. Wish they were a little more specific I probably wouldn’t have bought the«vegan sausage». Other then that food is still good and fresh and I’m always a fan of the turkey chilli and fresh juice. Besides getting an uneasy feeling especially when I had questioned about the sausage, like I should of known and now I should just eat it. oh well… just a little disappointed.
