The worst Goodwill location I’ve ever been to. & I go to majority of locations in the Bay Area. This location is one of the dirtiest and smallest. I’ve been here on 3 different occasions and the prices are extremely higher then usual! I stopped by today to see what they have for Easter stuff and everyone was $ 1.25 and up! Which is ridiculous for a goodwill location! There were kids towels for $ 10(WTF), dog toys for $ 7. Really?!? I ended up leaving and came to the dollar store down the street and found either the same or similar items, BRANDNEW for just $ 1. Out of the 3 times I’ve been here not once has an employee greeted me or asked if I need help. DON’t bother stoping by here. There are way better Goodwill locations besides this one.

I noticed today that they are still selling their Christmas stock of sodas that expired back in February. I mentioned this to one of the clerks. Hopefully, they throw those sodas out. No one should pay about $ 1.50 for a bottle of soda that expired last month! Sure this is a thrift store, not a grocery store but geeze! After I shop for my bargains at this Goodwill, I usually like to buy a bottle of soda. To read more about my likes and dislikes regarding this store, please read my previous reviews.

This review is for the drop off location only, and man was this much more of a pleasure going to than dealing with the Willow Glen location. It was easy to drive in, plenty of space for a car either direction, and the associate was friendly and helpful. Often I feel like the drop offs can be super controlled, with the associates yelling at you to move your car or back up, etc. and you end up in a frazzled bad mood from their attitude — but this was a pleasant experience. In, out, and done. I would probably make the drive to come back here over Willow Glen donation from now on!

AWFULSERVICE! I tried to drop off stuff — and they were so rude. they didnt believe I was donating clothes, etc., and PICKED through it with me there. Then, someone else drives up, they speak to each other and they drop off everything they want, including trash and its no problem. SORUDE! Take your stuff to someone else, and some place that WANTS the new clothes, furniture, etc.

I tried calling their phone number on the official website, and a dude answered the phone who says people keep calling him thinking he’s Goodwill! I apologized, and hung up. Then I came here and the number was off by one digit. So instead of «408−469−6220,» I called«(408) 468‑6220 «and got some non-English voice mail. I have no idea what their hours are. It’s very frustrating. Update: while it’s hard to find out information from them over the phone or online, in person the donation drop off was easy and pleasant. I did not venture inside though.

When Goodwill moved to the East Side it was the best thrift store in the area, good prices and good finds… but then all that changed recently 2014, they started to up the prices that are comparable to Ross and other discount stores. so why shop at Goodwill any longer when the are selling«used» furniture, clothes, items that are donated for free and then marking up prices like they are new? Might as well shop at Ross and get«new» clothes. Come on this is a thrift store… how can you change so drastic, your clothes and other items are not going to move out the door like they use too. as least the tons of people I know who use to shop at Goodwill Alum Rock …will stop shopping here… no bargain… no show… simple as that…

I was here on Saturday as almost every Saturday with my family due to my moms loves the good deals this stores offer. Everything was fine until we check out, the associate Jazzmine Cruz was the cashier. She has helped me before and she always has some arttitud and very bad customer service skills but I always said to me maybe she has a bad day(I work in the restaurant business and I know customer service). She has not smiling, she didnt greet the customer on front of me and she didnt say thank you eigther. When she help me I have to ask her to wrap the glass item I just bouth and for a bag. I said thank you. And no answer back. Then she starts«helping» my mother with her crystal items. Once again I have to ask her to wrap them for her. She didnt say a word. When she finish she just gave the bag to my mom without saying anything. My mom said Thank You to her and she didnt answer back. At this point I had enogh. She can do that to me cause it seems that she has some issues but she cAn not do that to my mom. I told her. You know what, when someone say thank you u should say you are wellcome or something back. You have to be polite to people. She answered me «it doesnt matter» and she keep helping the next victim. I said please call the manager and she did. The next victim(no customer) was an old lady that tried to cheer her up saying. «Oh is ok. Hehe. Maybe you are having a bad day hehe». Of course Jazmine ignore her and still no gretting or thank you for the lady or any or the other 5 customers she helped while we wait for the manager. The manager or Lead was Bianca Chavez. Very nice and polite lady. She helped my mom earlier to find the bathroom. When Bianca come Jazminne just said«they are complaining cause I didnt say thank you». I said nope. I am complainning about your lack of customer service skills and more that you didnt care about it cause even after point it out to you, your answer was: it doesnt matter. Bianca was very nice and said that she will talk to her. Manager please do something about it. I am not asking to fire her(for less of this Anyone will get fired in any customer service job) but make her understand that she is not doing any favor to us. We are the one paying her rent or food or whatever she spend her paycheck on. If she doesnt like working w people I bet there are many positions in the back she can be doing. Manager please. I have nothing agains this lady. She did it to me and I was like whatever is her problem not mine. But I can not seen anyone ignoring or giving this type of attitud to old people. Next one could be your grandmother and you wont like noone treating her like that.

Been here a few times over the past two years and this place is just organized, friendly and efficient. You go to the back on the building, the lot area is easy enough ot turn whatever you are driving so that all cars are lined up for drop off, perfect!

Yes it is in the east side but don’t forget the mountains are right there so you are bound to find some good stuff. I go to thrift stores to buy brand name, high end. This place is clean and organized but that doesn’t interest me. I have found guess, Ralph Lauren, Nike, addidas, Tommy Hilfiger You can also find tons of target with tags. Forever 21 They have good furniture but overpriced.

Went in today for my first time after driving by it a bunch of times. Wasn’t looking for anything in particular so it my trip a little easier. While going through the mens button down shirts I was able to find some pretty nice stuff. Going through the jackets they had a nice variety. The prices weren’t too bad. $ 4 for a ralph lauren polo button down, I’ll take it. Check it out if you’re in the area.

decent selection, but prices are all over the place. it’s a treasure hunt, like all thrift stores. and thrift stores are pretty sparse in this area, the ysi shop across the street shut down! *sniff*, i loved that place. this is a pretty large location, and they have a ton of electronics, board games, and other household goods. they burned down right before they first opened up a few years ago, but rebuilt and it’s decently clean in here. there were a bunch of shoes with no price tag in my size, at least 10 pairs. i asked a woman with a «volunteer» name tag what i should do, as they are not supposed to sell anything without a tag. she took them back to the rear of the building, came out and told me that they were $ 7.99 and $ 10.99. but i thought that was a little too high for basic flats, so i didn’t buy them. she just stuck them back on the rack without putting a price tag on them, so that was a little weird to me. i came in looking for a picture frame, and found a few that fit my picture, but they were way over-priced, the dinged up one was $ 9, and the not damaged frame was $ 15! i could probably get it at walgreens cheaper, and not even on sale. they do give discounts, but only 20% on one color tag at a time, so that’s not too impressive, when savers will give 50% off on two colors a day. jeans are not sorted by size, so you have to do some searching to find what you need. i also needed a purse, but most of the stuff i liked was way overpriced, around $ 10 – 15 for a noticeably used bag. the prices didn’t seem to match the brands, however, as old navy canvas purses were marked at $ 15, and a vintage prada leather purse was $ 10. so even though i’m not into designer names, i bought the prada purse, why not.

**Donated Items Only*** I’ve been going back and forth here for the past few days as I sift through my things to donate while I pack and move. It’s an easy location to find and drop off is right in back with plenty of space to haul your stuff over. Boxes are easily categorized to drop your things in and if you have no clue there’s always an attendant there to help. Bonus that this place takes E-waste which I really needed. i had things that were 10+ years old… just chucked it to their ewaste pile and didn’t have to get charged… awesome. I haven’t had time to venture in and explore what things they have to offer but I must do so sometime.

We love this place! It’s a very clean, organized, friendly place to get some nice clothing etc. I couldn’t believe the prices are much more reasonable than other stores. You can get a lot of things for $ 20.00 I noticed that they don’t have much for little boys, and kids need clothing all the times! I highly recommend this store to save money!

Although this Goodwill is bigger and there are more clothes, the prices were a little too high and unreasonable. I mean, 1 shirt for $ 6?! I can get 2 shirts for the price of $ 6 at other Goodwills. Also, I saw so many shirts with some weird stains on it and awkward scents. No big deal though! Nothing some laundry detergent can’t fix :) Other than that, this is a nice store and has a lot to choose from. I came out with some cute sandals, H&M dress, magenta pencil skirt, and a cute tribal shirt, all for $ 24. :D Possibly coming back…

It’s all new stuff which hasn’t sold at Target. It’s the same price as what Target had. Clothes and shoes seemed recycled but it seemed real overpriced compared to other thrift stores… We figured maybe they had to fill the new store with items before donations start coming in and circulating through inventory. Either way this place was a rip off. A set of coasters — 6 coasters — each coaster was .99 cents lol — That’s a $ 6 plastic coaster set. They must have a real genius pricing everything apparently.
