With all the bright lights and new places on the other side of the street, it’s important to remember that there is still a fantastic sandwich shop that knows the importance of a good dill pickle. Erik’s Deli has a great selection of sandwiches and soups and some cool express lunch items as well. I’m also a big fan of how they serve beverages in Mason jars… Or maybe their Bell jars… Or maybe they just look like them. Still, it’s cool. I like it.

Very disappointed, I came at 1:30 pm 12÷3÷15 for a soup and a gluten free sandwich, the soup excellent, the sandwich not sure it was gluten free but the annoying and my disappointment is because I asked the girl for avocado and I already payed so she was going to charge me more, so I asked to change the tomato for avocado and she told me We don’t charge the tomato but the avocado is additional charge, bahhh very disappointed, thinking if I will come back or go to another place so they can be nicer and give me a little avocado without charge!

Why does every employee want to be off early? If your business is scheduled to be open until a certain time, then you need to do your work OR talk to your manager about working different hours. Actually, scratch that, I’ve seen managers or «leads» push their customers out of the door as well. The quality of the sandwich is always good, that’s great. But the service is horrible every single time. Granted, I usually arrive within an hour of their closing time, but the point is they are SUPPOSED to be open. Tonight for example my boyfriend and I rush over and arrive at 8:37 pm and they are closing at 9pm. Which means they don’t shut anyone out until 9… We order our food which ALWAYS takes less than 5 minutes to prepare and I let the cashier Jose know we will be eating here. He says No that I am taking it to-go because they close in 5 – 7 minutes.(They closed in 15…) I decide not to argue but I am quite upset because they aren’t supposed to be closed until it is 9pm. And even then, I have NEVER been told that I was not allowed to dine-in!!! His mannerism was completely rude. This might be the last time I go here.

Erik’s deli always tastes fresh and good. I usually order the sweet liberty on gluten free bread. I like they offer gluten free bread options most other sandwiches places do not offer it. My favorite soup is the tomato basil bisque. They also make a very nice pasta salad but that is not gluten free. Erik’s deli is also very consistent from location to location.

Healthy sandwiches & soups. Large size with freshly prepared ingredients. I stopped coming here when they dropped their meatloaf sandwich from the menu. I drop in once and a while hoping it’s made a comeback. Still hoping & praying…

Stopped in for a bite to eat, something different than the norm. WOW, I’m glad we did, service was spectacular and the food was done in about 1 minute. Tasty, fresh and very nice size portion. Definitely a must return for us. I got the pastrami and my wife got the Clam chowder bread bowl and salad. Both were outstanding!

As far as soup and sandwiches go, this has great choices, fresh food and awesome soups. Can’t beat the prices and the pickles are the best.

Ordered the Reuben. What a disaster. The russian dressing tasted beyond last year, old and tangy, and not in the good way, kind of in the way that makes you think… mold?. The sauerkraut also tastes terribly old, like it was made when they first opened in 1974. The meat tasted so stale, and im okay with packaged deli meat, but this tasted like they’ll never sell enough reubens yet still make the decision to keep the corned beef wayyy after it’s past due. Either that or there’s some containment/handling/storage issues. Everything on this sandwich minus the bread tasted expired. Then they throw it in the microwave and make the bread… chewy? I’ve had reubens where the bread is toasted crisp, theres mustard and russian dressing dripping from it, there’s a ton of slaw cabbage that is seasoned(Erik’s cabbage isn’t even seasoned) and the meat is sliced chunky(Erik’s deli meat is like eating 10 skinny pancakes stuck together)…what a treat. too bad because this place is close to everything.

I checked in to this place early afternoon for a quick lunch with my girlfriend before I took her back to work. The staff were nice and inviting, and made you feel very welcome; along with the old log cabin-esque decorum, the fast and friendly service all culminate a very pleasant experience for lunch.

Huge fan of the sandwiches here! They don’t taste like lunch meat! We usually order take out– I have never sat in and ate there. They make the food fast and I have never had an issue with customer service.

Yum! Good food, nice staff, outdoor seating to soak up some sun. I love this place and have been eating Herr for more years than I care to claim. ;)

Can’t go wrong with Pilgrim’s Progress. The sprouts and Secret Goo makes it one of my favorite sandwiches EVER. The proportions of all the ingredients are very consistent, I never had a bad experience before. Clam chowder is also delicious, I love getting it in the bread bowl. Bread is very fresh, nom nom nom

I always love this place. Every location I’ve been to has been a pleasant experience. There are several locations here in the bay area, which is nice. It’s clean and the décor is adorable. The customer service it good. I love the Chicken Pesto Sandwich and the banana bread. Those are my favorite. The prices are pretty competitive too.

I like coming to Erik’s Deli Café because they offer gluten free bread as an option. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be eating sandwiches. This particular location is in a small plaza with a few other stores and has a fair amount of parking. The inside is pretty big and has a lot of seating inside for the people in the area who are coming in for their lunch break. I like their choices of sandwiches, they are pretty different and tasty. I usually get a sandwich and a cup of soup. I ordered the Pot Belly sandwich and it was pretty good. Workers were friendly too.

The Seoul pulled-pork sandwich(strangely named) was dry and unexciting at $ 8 — had a bit of coleslaw inside the sandwich, but meh. It didn’t really taste like anything, the bread kinda tasted like cardboard. Service was really great though, maybe a little too fast. Before I even pulled out my debit card to pay they already finished my mediocre order. I’ve been here a couple of times the months before, and my experiences were always better. Can’t remember what I ordered, but the sandwiches were good. One cool thing! They serve drinks in mason jars. I LOVE drinking out of mason jars, mainly because things stay nice and cool and the double-walled glass feels so tactile in your hands – but that doesn’t really redeem Erik’s Deli Café from a 2-star rating and a sandwich that is nowhere near Korean to be called Seoul. I’ll give them another chance though!

Erik’s Deli Café has been in business 40 years… I think I’ve been going to them since the late ’80’s!?! Man…I was Starving today & Erik’s took care of me sooooo good with their cup of butternut squash soup & them proceeded to devour the Erik’s Rueben… yummy & delicious if you’re a Pastrami Lover! Don’t forget the chilled glass of Rootbeer… Thanks Guys 5 Stars !
