I have gone here twice to get massages. Both times I was asked to come back in 2 or 4 hours because she was«so busy,» even though they advertise for walk ins. Both times after my massage, the women a ask me for a tip before I can even get into my wallet. The last time I went, I tried to use the Unilocal deal for the aromatherapy and was told that was not valid and was from previous owner. I felt it should still be valid as it is still on their Unilocal page. The massages were just okay for what the price is. I feel it is way overpriced for being a Chinese walk in shop. Won’t go back.

Not very good and pricey for what it is. Many other Chinese massage places that charge $ 40 or less for an hour. This place charges $ 50 for 45 minutes. Massage wasn’t great, masseuse kept walking in and out in the middle of the massage to chat with her coworker, and on top of that finished 10 minutes early. Will never come back.

I was in SJ area today. My back was killing me so I did a search on massages places. I found this one and I love it!!! Yoyo gave me the 30 minutes available that she had. She worked so well on my back, neck and legs. While massaging me, she checked if I was comfortable. The place is very simple, clean and it fits it’s purpose. I’m coming back next week.

Worst experience EVER! First there was a major language barrier, second no paperwork to fill out which seemed highly unprofessional, and third they asked for payment upfront! I walked straight out and never coming back!!!

Very disappointing. You get what you pay for! I came to this spa with very high hopes after reading the reviews because I just moved to the neighborhood and was thrilled for the opportunity of a local, affordable massage place. Unfortunately, this wasn’t it. The reviewer who compared this spa to Santana Row ones has either never experienced a massage there, or got a very different therapist than I did! I debated whether to give them 3 stars instead of 2 because the lady at the front desk was really nice and the place looks very good. But ultimately, you go there for a massage, and the massage was BAD. I arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment and was told that they were running late and my massage would start 10 after scheduled time. The lady said that she had called me, though I didn’t have a missed called. But it wasn’t a big deal. I went to run an errand and came back 15 minutes later. She showed me to the room, asked me to disrobe and lay on the bed and said the therapist was still delayed because her client had arrived late. At other spas they have a policy that if you are late you miss out on your own time. That way later customers don’t get affected and the schedule remains on time. I did as told and waited for another 15 minutes for the therapist. She came in and immediately started pressing my body against the table. I thought the sheet I was given to cover myself with was a little skimpy, but that didn’t matter because the therapist went on to remove it completely, leaving me with my bare behind on the table. This was somewhat uncomfortable, and to my taste unprofessional. Then she proceeded with the massage, which felt like some rough, rushed strokes. She applied a lot of pressure, but in quick motions which hurt and had me holding my breath. It felt very much like the massages you can get at Happy Feet on Saratoga, only that on a massage table. But those only cost $ 20! The most relaxing time I had while at the spa was when I was laying on the table waiting for the therapist! I have experienced many massages over the years, good ones, excellent ones, and some bad ones. This one was definitely among the bad ones. The facilities are clean and beautifully decorated. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated and with piped in music. However the sheet they give you to cover up is very small and thin, and they don’t have a blanket or anything else to cover so it gets a little cold after a while. They do have a towel warmer and they wipe you off with a warm towel which felt nice. I think that perhaps they have other therapists that are better, but I would not go back to try.

Emperor Spa is a great new spa close to Santana Row, yet without the high prices and parking issues. It has the luxury feel of Santana Row but with more resonable prices(60/hr, 100⁄90 minutes). I love the fact that it is very clean, has simple yet elegant décor and has great parking. They are next to the Century 24 theaters. Another plus is they only use organic lotions and oils.
If you are looking for great massage for a resonable price try Rachel. I felt totally relaxed and de-stressed afterwards. Think my New Year’s Resolution needs to be monthly massages from Rachel!
