El Pollo Loco

Somethings wrong here. …drive thru is extremely slow 15 min here in line… shouldnt be that long of wait

My dad have always mentioned his desire to eat here one of these days. Every time we pass by one of their stores he would ask, «Is it good (to eat) there?», «We should try it some time.» We’d just nod and totally space out afterwards. Then one day, after church, instead of going to our usual place (my family is big on noodles) my dad told me, «Check on your phone where is the nearest El Pollo Loco from the church». So I whip up my phone and clicked on ever reliable Unilocal to find a location, and so we ended up here.
The place was somewhat clean. I say this because there was a steady stream of customers eating and leaving when we arrived. It wasn’t that crowded but it was certainly occupied. We got our tables and seats and started to order. We got the 12 piece chicken course meal with all the trimmings. We also ordered two extra churros cause there were six of us (the meal only has 4 churros). We were hoping it would be enough for all of us since my mom doesn’t eat rice and I was thinking the salad might be good enough for me. They provided a beeper to let us know that our orders are ready. It took awhile to get our food as we watched the other customers lining up and some waiting for their food. There was only one person manning the cashier while most are busy in the kitchen which made the line really long. There was also a spillage after we had our order and no one was even cleaning the area. Me and my husband then gathered some chairs to barricade the wet spot as a precautionary to other customers.
When our food came, the large rice was not large enough so I had to line up and buy extra rice and also a chicken and shrimp tostada salad. By the time we get our food my party was nearly done with their food. That was how busy it was in the line.
Chicken in itself was ok. It was tender and well seasoned and my dad liked it. As of the siding, we didnt appreciate the beans… mainly because we aren’t into beans. Next time we will have a different one. As for the tostada, the salad was fresh, I like their version of ranch but the shirmp was too salty.
Anyhoo, 3 stars!

Nothing to do with the food… the manager is great at following policy, but unfortunately for me I wasn’t allowed to use the restroom after hours. I would have given her money, but I understand she had to Protect her employees. There were 4 of them, my car was parked right in front, and you could clearly see I was by myself.
I don’t like this place anyway, but I’ll never eat here again. And I’ll ask my family and friends to boycott this place, too.

horrible service they don’t know the menu at all plus they make costumers in the drive threw to go around twice the service with the employer’s are horrible she was in a rush making staff and plus she was ordering staff that i never order

They always say, you always get F’kd in the drive-​thru and this was just the case! So first, they added an extra chicken shrimp avocado burrito, when I only wanted the shrimp avocado burrito, so paid for the extra burrito! Then get home to find they gave us 2 of the chicken tostadas instead of the (2) of the mango grilled tostadas! What are you going to do! Shinanigan’s! Lesson learned, never trust the drive-​thru! Never!

I came here today to pick up a large order for work. I was greeted by ADRIANA who seemed to be in a rush but was still really sweet! She charged me for my order and told me to take a seat while she gathered everything. I was only seated for a few minutes and everything was ready. Adriana helped put everything in large bags and even walked me out to my car and carried some things for me. She then realized she had forgotten to give me plates and utensils. As we walked back inside there were a few customers waiting and no one to help. Adriana rushed over and apologized to the customers and politely asked me to wait while she had someone get the plates. I could tell she was busy so I didn’t mind. This next part is why they didn’t receive 5 stars. Adriana asked one of the many ladies to help get plates and the lady completely ignored her! I couldn’t believe that Adriana was receiving absolutely no help from her co-​workers. If it was not for Adriana I would have given this place no stars. I think she should be recognized for her hard work! I think she may have been a newer employee or at least new at the front because she seemed a bit frantic. Still can’t believe that no one helped the poor gal. Did I mention she managed to keep smiling through this nonsense? Employees at this location should acquire some customer service skills from Adriana. Keep it up!

I don’t know why the quality of this place is going down. Is it this branch only??? I have been to El Pollo in LA and it was my favorite mexican fastfood but I think Chipotle is a better alternative

This location seems to always be busy and the way the plaza is set up makes it a little annoying to get into (you either have to enter from white and drive all the way around or turn in story and go in from there which gets a little congested) BUT that’s just me being lazy and a bad Asian driver lol. Aside from that, super friendly staff, especially the cashier, TIFFANY sooo friendly and welcoming. She’s so sweet omg her attitude is awesome… all smiles :). She even split my tortillas into corn and flour :’) instead of one or the other.

I’ve been here several times and it gets worse and worse every single time. Especially the drive though. It all starts with the person that is taking your order. Sometimes they get everything wrong. I once order a regular chicken bowl with no beans and the lady that was taking the drive thru orders forgot to put that in. When I told her that my order was wrong she turned around and told the people that are making the food that she forgot to add the no beans to that bowl. Sometimes they don’t add double chicken to your ultimate double chicken bowl. Just double check your order before leaving.
I have to say I’ll give 5 stars to the manager. I believe his name is Emmanuel. He went beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my order after I complain about my order being wrong.

This place is bad, it just keeps getting worse. I was ordering thru the drive thru this evening. when I pulled up to the window to pay I gave her (the drive-​thru employee wich I was told her name is Tiffaney)$ 40.00 (my total was $ 34.09) when she gave me the change in return she slammed the change in my hand wich caused all the loose change to fall on the floor. She clearly seen it then walked away no apologizes or anything. Upon her return with my order. I asked why she had done that and she replied «I didn’t slam anything» in a very rude confrontational tone. I then asked to talk to her manager she walked away and came back to tell me that her manager was on lunch I then told her all I want is the change she had had dropped. She proceeded to tell me she didn’t know what it was and gave a very blank stare I proceeded in giving her the receipt she gave me the change then said «have a good night» in a very loud tone and slammed the window very hard. To top it off they did not give me any of the condiments I originally requested. Pollo Loco has been one of my favorites but this location needs major staffing improvements

Great food; however, if you are in the drive thru, normally the drive thru’s are quicker than being inside; however, it’s not the case with this location.
Some locations have Horchata; however, this one does not. Too bad.
I still would come.

This place just lies. I called to make sure the Unilocal information was right and that they closed at 11pm and they confirmed they did. I got there before 11pm and their lazy asses didn’t want to sell any more food… heeellllooooo you guys are not even supposed to be closed. They answered the drive through and when I ordered chicken they said they ran out of chicken, then I ordered beef and they lied and said they ran out of beef. Obviously they had both chicken AND beef but wanted to go home early and didn’t honor the drive through hours. OWNERS… your employees are making you lose busine$$!!!

Came in here at night time and went though drive-​tru and got the worst service ever. I ordered a Chicken Avocado Combo and a side of Mac and Cheese. The wait was so long it took me 15 minutes to get to the cashier granted that there is only car ahead of me. When I get to the window I still have to wait additional 5mins to get my order. I saw the dinning roo and there was only 5 customer and there are 5 people on food prep. Not sure if these are new employee that just got trained or something. For some reason it took 20 minutrs to get a 2 item order. And when I got home I checked my Chicken Avocado burrito, Avocado is MIA. no where to be found. I was very dissapointed about this joint. Even my son was dissapponted for they did not pack any napkin, salsa that I requested and a spoon for his Mac and Cheese. This joint use to be good but something happened to the service.

Nice tortas, and great location. The snack menu is hella good. I actually ate everything on it. The burrito on the snack menu is good, I was grubbing away and tasted hella rice and then I am like whoa man this cheese just blended right in me mouth oh goodness! I love the taco shell on the snack menu taco too, its crunchy and sweet and hard to beat. I’ve only been to the El POllo Loco’s in the central valley till I came to this one. Good to know they are good all over.

Never mind. My order got messed up again.
Workers consistently get confused between the GRILLED mango tostada and the CITRUS mango tostada.
I had to go back today to switch out the citrus for the grilled as I had originally ordered.
The girl told me to specify for the under 500 tostada next time like it was my fault.
Employees should know the difference between the names of the tostadas. There’s only ONE Mango Grilled Tostada. Stop giving me the Citrus Mango Tostada!

Came here with a few friends on a week day, ordered our food, about 5 minutes later our food was ready. Once we were almost done eating the restaurant staff brought us complimentary tacos to our table which were new to their menu. Free tacos? Just so we could try their new menu? Sure, we will take that!
The place was nice and clean
The staff were friendly
The salsa bar was clean and plenty full
The food was very well cooked and tasty for a fast food restaurant
Plenty of parking
I’ve been coming here more and more and always get great service and the food is always good.

Never had El Pollo Loco before, so it seemed like a good idea when my car was getting fixed next door at the 76 gas station. My dad bought the 8 piece (chicken only) and 2 burritos.
The chicken was rather good, fire-​grilled and full of flavor. It was a bit salty for me, but the crispy, non-​fried skin was so delicious. The burritos were also good, but pieces of fresh avocado and a semi-​crispy tortilla skin. I was mostly impressed with the raw pieces of chicken cooking on the large grill in the back, given that most fast food places cook, freeze, package, and ship to their various locations!

Sometimes a girl just needs a tortilla roll up and some cilantro cream sauce– that sauce is the best thing ever, and this location knows it. Though you have to specially ask for it, the sauce is given out in the larger lidded dixie cups so you get a good portion.
Also an extra star for this location having a salsa bar– who doesn’t like a salsa bar? The spicy avocado sauce has a legitimate bit of kick to it, the fresh salsa and pico de gallo are actually fresh, and the peppers/​cilantro/​onions were restocked while we were there.
Service was polite but a bit slow– can’t tell if this is a particularly busy location or if the employees I saw were just a little unorganized. Things looked a bit hectic but they weren’t slammed or anything.
Order was filled correctly: chicken bacon avocado quesadilla with chips and a drink, the BRC burrito, and the aforementioned tortilla roll, which btw is one of the best fast food items available today– low priced, filling, and delicious… if you get the cilantro cream sauce.

This is a very gud place too eat the food is very good an alit more healthy than other places around this area

For years I never knew what El Polo Loco meant… Then I taught myself to speak Spanish and figured it out…
There is no crazy chicken at this establishment… But there is a lot of fast food chicken style… Now I have to critique it… That’s not going to be hard for me…
Quite frankly I only eat this kind of chicken when I am just starving there’s nothing else to eat… or if I’m in a hurry…
The best thing on their menu in my book… Is the creamy cilantro sauce… The best value on their menu is a chicken leg for a dollar… It really works well if you’re on a diet that’s low-​carb…
This particular establishment is usually clean… It’s frequented by policeman… That makes me feel safer…
Most of the employees are bilingual Spanish-​speaking… I think they are hard-​working… And they probably don’t have a moment to take a break from the look of it…
I have to say though… On the down side… Their salsa is terrible… It’s like made in a blender or something… It’s full of bubbles… And very runny…
Let’s face it… If you need to fill the hump when you’re on the run… You can do that here… Two stars… If it gets any better… I’ll let you know…
