I got to try this truck because it was at the Moveable Feast market on Sunday for lunch. It’s new and have never seen the truck. I love sushi, but never had a sushirrito. The menu had pictures to help me decide what to pick. The workers were quiet, but friendly. I decided to get the Victoria sushirrito, it was 13 bucks. It was big enough for me to eat alone. The Victoria consist of crab salad, avocado, grilled salmon, spicy mayo, teriyaki sauce, cucumber, tobiko, lettuce, carrots, and onions. The cucumber is cut a little thicker than ones in sushi. The thing that threw me off was when I got my sushirrito, I didn’t have to wait long or anything, but it was warm. I think it was because of the grilled salmon. The mixture of sauce weren’t overwelming and it was easy to eat without making a mess. To be honest, I dont know if 13 bucks for sushirrito is worth it. I like going down to a restaurant and ordering whole bunch of sushi rolls and get more items. I mean you can get a sushi roll for 13 dollars, but I guess the experience is different. I like being able to get ginger or wasabi.

12÷7÷15(update): I’m sorry, but I think this truck has solidified their rating below the«try at your own risk» level, somewhere around the«I warned you» level. See my previous reviews, but their«burritos» were stricken with raw rice kernels and also would not last many bites before falling all apart into a mess. And this time… 1. Sake Donburi $ 12: Here we have salmon sashimi on «sushi rice», with some roe and sesame on top, along with a little seaweed salad and pickles. So, why is «sushi rice» in quotes? – cause what I got was some kind of strange perversion. Out of the hundreds of sushi meals I’ve had, never once did I experience this: rice saturated with cheap white vinegar. So gross. Each bite was like eating standard white vinegar reformed as rice. Mind you, this tastes of the cheap vinegar – apparently not even the more mild and flavorful Japanese rice vinegar that you’re supposed to use for sushi. Okay, rice aside(which BTW makes up about 90% of the carton by volume) you get about 5 – 6 strips of salmon sashimi, which tasted fine. However, the green onions on top were offensive too. Typically these would be shredded more finely and mellowed in sauce if used at all on sushi, but true to Chinese tradition, you get lots of straight up diced raw green onions, which totally overpower the fish. Anyway, I guess removing the green onions is not too much of a chore, but the rice is just not edible. Sorry Curbside, you seem like nice people, but I can’t eat your food anymore. 1⁄5 #truck #japanese #sushi #sushiburrito #sashimi

I was driving down race street when I found this truck and did a quick Unilocal check to find it was sushi burritos! I’m a huge fan of sushirrito in SF so I was happy to give this a try. I ordered the I’m on fire and miso soup. I got my order quickly and my soup was piping hot, I’m pretty sure I burnt my tongue a little. I was really surprised at how good my food was. I have tried another sushirrito from another food truck and it was meh. Everything about this was great: yummy sushi rice, fresh fish, crisp veggies. I also appreciated that the burrito was mostly filling instead of being mostly rice like others I’ve had. The nori was not closed completely but I don’t see that as a bad thing, hello that means more of the good stuff! I took off a star for two things: 1) the menu says they use butter lettuce in the burrito but I’m positive mine only had romaine and I seen another review that used what looks like iceberg(ewwww). 2) every roll offers the same veggies and spicy mayo and Sriracha, if they mixed up the veggies and sauces I think the variety would be better and make me want to try the other rolls. I would love to see an item that had tobiko or a different flavored aioli. Overall, I liked what I ate. They look like a newer food truck to the sj scene and I hope I run into them again.

We had already eaten dinner when we found this gem while walking the dogs. We ordered 3 burritos to try. YUM!!! We tried the Jurassic, Castro and I’m on fire. All were delicious, but the Castro was fantastic!

Hit the spot! This truck was parked down the block from The Ritz late on a Friday night /early Saturday morning where I was going to a concert, and I was so happy with what they made for me before the show that I went back for more after the show and ordered more to share with my friend. I’m vegetarian with some food allergies, and the items on the menu didn’t quite fit my needs. However, they were able to put together a delicious vegetarian roll which included tofu and the greatest most perfect wasabi mayo I may have ever tasted. My friend isn’t vegetarian, but didn’t find the need to order anything additional because what I had ordered was so flavorful. Great textures too, with perfectly cooked rice and the crunch of fresh cucumber. I don’t know if they would be able to make such accommodations if they were super busy, but I am very happy they did and would definitely find them again if I am in the area. The wasabi mayo. Really. I’d put that on everything.

Sushi burritos… Oh man. How could an idea so amazing go so wrong? The work place started having food trucks every Tuesday and this one was definitely on my list because I have never had a sushi burrito before. Two of my coworkers and I decided to get two burritos and split them among the three of us. One was called Barbie and the other one was B2(forgot the name they called it). This was such a good idea because there was no way we would each eat one. The reason was not because there were huge burritos, but because these sushi burritos were not good tasting at all. I was so excited for this because I love sushi and burritos, so having a sushi burrito would be amazing, but nope. It was probably not the smartest idea to order something with raw fish in it from a food truck, but hey, the truck came to our workplace and we have bathrooms on site, so figured it was OK. The fish was terrible tasting. It did not taste fresh and was just a bad idea(note to self: never eat raw fish from a food truck). The lettuce looked like it had gone bad and the avocado tasted gross. My coworker said it was the nastiest avocado he had ever tasted. The sushi burrito was wrong on so many levels; however, the lone positive from the sushi burrito was the crab salad made with imitation crab. Other than that, very disappointing. The truck itself was a two man operation. Credit to them, they were very fast. I think my experience with these sushi burritos has ruined me for other sushi burritos. Never again.
