3.5* rounding up. Chez-cago and jalapeño slaw were good, but small on the serving size(even by my small-medium sized portion standards), but quality. The day I caught them at an OTG, line was ~20 mins long and order taker seemed like a ‘volunteer helper’ as he was frequently asking questions of the two other workers inside the truck.

I’m a big fan of hot dogs and sausages, and these are definitely my favorite. The roll is delicious, and the toppings are unique. The employees at the food truck have been friendly and they give great recommendations. I can’t wait until the restaurant opens!

An expensive hot dog, but it is filled with quality ingredients. Tried the Mission Frankfurter and it’s a great bread roll served with a thin frankfurter, a nice thick piece of bacon and a variety of sauces including some mango toppings. It’s all very tasty but found the frankfurter a bit too thin and plain to be interesting and found myself enjoying the quality condiments more than the dog itself. Most people can definitely eat two of these so prices can add up(and it’s not lobster).

Mmm hot dogs. The dogs here are so good. Over the summer I had the Mission style and the American style. The chili was excellent, the bacon was crispy. One hot dog is all you need for a meal but took my dad to the truck once and he loved them so much he went back for a 2nd one. Can’t wait for the place to open on California Ave.

I have eaten at this Food Truck several times as it has appeared at different spots in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. I can’t wait for their restaurant to open, because I want to try their full menu of gourmet hot dogs, than what they are limited to making on the Food Truck. I keep going back to 2 of my favorite Hot Dogs: Summer Dog: Whipped Burrata Cheese, prosciutto, peaches, balsamic and basil French Dog: Riesling braised sauerkraut, truffled brie, and spicy mustard with sauterne These are not your dad’s summer backyard bbq dogs. It is truly a wonderful foodie experience. The ingredients are fresh and top quality. It is obvious that the chef truly wants to create a full gourmet experience vs. just another fast food item. If you get a chance to check them at Off the Grid or your workplace, do it!

This is by far the best food truck out there, the ingredients are SO fresh and delicious and they have really incredible gourmet combinations that I have never seen or dreamed of in my life! We have hired them on two different occasions for parties(60 people or so) and they nailed it. Punctual, professional and sooo accomodating. My favorites are: the Mission Dog: Bacon-wrapped organic all-beef frankfurter with smoky bean aioli, spicy chorizo, avocado mousse, heirloom tomato slices, salsa verde, crema, and micro-cilantro. FML it is SO good. the French: French: all-beef frankfurter, Riesling braised sauerkraut, truffled brie, spicy mustard with sauterne. It seems pretty straightforward but the execution is perfection. And can we talk about the bun? It’s like a lobster roll style bun toasted and delicous. I could eat 5 without even blinking. CANNOTWAITFORTHEIRRESTAURANTONCALIFORNIAAVENUEINPATOOPEN!!! This is exactly the kind of quality establishment we need!

Checked them out while they were in PA this weekend. M and I both got the special which had bolognese and burrata. I really liked the top split bun. Though, the roof of my mouth is a little irritated because the bun was toasted a bit too long. I really enjoyed the combo of the toppings. The toppings were hot/fresh and really hit the spot. The hot dog itself was nothing to rave about, though. Once they open up the restaurant and make their own dogs I hope it will be amazing and I can give them the extra star. Also, the other Unilocaler had the same thought as we did with the price. $ 12 was a little steep for the special, even if it had burrata.

Im not sure why the listing is in San Jose as their store is in Palo Alto. Caught them at Off The Grid recently. Went with the prosciutto wrapped dog with burratta cheese, balsamic, spinach and peaches. Interesting flavor profiles put into a top loading bun like a lobster roll. tasted good but it wasnt quite filling and for $ 12 it’s a tough value proposition as big eaters would do two dogs. It’s cool using great ingredients but at the same time the price point has to make sense for repeat eating.
