Every since the change in management things have gone down hill. Used to go here a lot since i worked in the same plaza. In the past week I’ve gotten so mad i will probably never come here again. It takes forever for someone to answer the phone just to place an order. Then got put on hold by the manager & they never picked back up. By the time i got there they still had not picked up. The week before i had placed an order only to have to walk all the way back cause they gave me the wrong soup, which was the only thing i had ordered. Very disappointed.

I just to tell all the Unilocal readers that this is the place to go in the south bay for great food and better then that great service. I come in at least 3 times a week and have never been disappointed. The consistent genuine greetings and smiles from the employee’s is so refreshing. I have lots of allergy’s and they never make me feel uncomfortable when ordering. So accommodating. So clean. Also S.F. Boudin has the best Loyalty card out there. Where else can you get a free loaf of bread just for eating lunch!

Great customer service and amazing food(for the price and convenience). I come here to eat about 1 – 2 times a month and pick up online orders for lunch about once a week. I tried a new meal when I placed my last online order and never checked it when I picked it up to make sure it was all good since I made some adjustments. It was missing some items and the bread was as hard as a rock. Totally bummed me out… I called and spoke to Maha, the manager and she was very nice and generous. She told me to come in anytime and pick up a new order, complimentary. She wasn’t annoyed or rude about it at all. It was pretty genuine which is rare to see these days, especially at a sandwich place. I went the next day so she wouldn’t forget, and she graciously gave me a whole sandwich and offered me a soup or salad. I had only ordered a half salad/half soup in my original order, so she didn’t even have to extend the extra courtesy. She also made sure to personally make my order and come out to apologize to me when I picked it up during busy 12:30 weekday lunch hour. She was awesome! I always appreciate amazing customer service since it’s so hard to come across these days. Thank you, Maha! I hope Boudins is treating you right ;-)

Parking is hard to find but other than that no complaints. I love stopping by here for lunch before doing some shopping at Costco. The roasted chicken club and the California burgers are fantastic. The service is always nice and friendly and the seating area is always clean.

Dropped in with my daughter for a quick lunch. We both had a bowl of clam chowder in bread bowl and half a chicken salad sandwich. I love Boudin clam chowder it is thick and creamy with lots of clams. Their sourdough bread bowl just takes this chowder over the top! One of the best clam chowders in the area. The atmosphere is light and warm. Not loud or feeling crowded. Our service was great and friendly. We would definitely come back!

Located in a busy plaza, next to Blaze pizza with a TJMAXX around the corner. Everything is pretty similar to the ones in SF(I live there right now) but the only difference is that their bread bowls are a lot smaller. Very space-y, and comfy. I get their clam chowder in a regular bowl with a salad or their roasted garlic tomato soup with salad combo. Both are great, just smaller portions, or my appetite is just too big HAHA. Just kidding, over-all, pretty good!

We come here at least once a month now; it doesn’t hurt that they give away free bread each month too. They have one of the better rewards program out there. It’s definitely worth signing up for. While you’re there for your bread, order the grilled cheese with bacon and a side of tomato soup. Never disappoints.

Their Clam Chowder is like heaven in my mouth. Not to mention their salads. Everything I’ve had for lunch is delicious!!! Minus 1 star for awful and overly toasted/crunchy french toast. My teeth hurt, and drowning it in maple syrup didn’t help. Turn the toaster/griddle/oven down please!!!

I am BEYOND happy that I not only have a Boudin so close to me, but that I also get wonderful service whenever I go in. The 5 stars is really for Paige(I hope I am spelling her name correctly!) She assisted me at the register the first couple of times that I went in, and each time her level of professionalism, kindness, knowledge, and patience exceeded my very high level of expectation for great customer service. The rest of the cashiers should take note from her, because I have not experienced the same customer service from any other staff members. Another plus: I signed up for the reward card, and get a few bucks off here and there and a free loaf of bread monthly :)

I don’t know what is is about this place, but they have the SLOWEST service ever. I swear I have been to places that serve the same style of food(Erik’s Deli & Panera) and they basically have your food out as you’re walking to your table. I come here pretty regularly since I really like the food, but man, the service is snail speed! As for the food, it’s great! I usually get the mixed green salad with the green apples, walnuts and feta(delicious). The chicken salad and The Great with Bacon are awesome! Just beware of the service and give yourself enough time…

Ordered clam bowl. It was up in 5 min but took 15 min to deliver to table. 20 min wait. Although it was cold on top i was able to stir it and it was hot in the middle. Tasted great.

It shouldn’t take 20 minutes to make and deliver a cold sandwich and salad, not at a fast-service place like Boudin. By the time I got my order, I had to bolt it and run, so I have no idea how it tasted. The cookie was delicious. I wish I hadn’t had to eat it before the meal arrived.

The tomato soup is very good. If you get the soup in a sourdough bowl I would recommend an additional soup as the bowl is quite large and can easily be filled again with soup.

Let me preface by saying, I am not fond of sandwiches or cafes. I’m a Boba and Asian cuisine connoisseur! But when I say Boudin Café blew my freaking mind, it is the bomb diggity dot com. Everything was wonderful — from the food quality, quantity, prices, ambiance, and service. I hope Boudin is here to stay in our suburban valley… I will also tell you why Boudin rocks a 100x over Le Boulanger. BACKSTORY– On Saturday, my mother and I picked up my brother and we had an hour’s worth of time to catch a quick lunch. We opted to try something in the Almaden Plaza and we all had diverse food tastes. I abhor House of Phở but my mom isn’t adventurous enough to try Wingstop or Five Guys. We remembered that Blaze and Boudin recently opened this year and settled for Boudin. Sandwiches, salads, and soups seemed like a solid neutral lunch. 5⁄5INTERIOR/AMBIANCE– For non-natives or young bloods, Blaze and Boudin took up the ol’ spot of Fresh Choice(RIP). The two restaurants divided up the space and Boudin got the bigger cut. Entering Boudin brought back nostalgic memories, the layout has slightly changed but not by much. The drink station is still at the original spots and many of the seating arrangements remained the same. The interior is spacious, bright, and gorgeous, and a rustic classy SF vibe gives you a sense of wonderment and awe. Boudin is an alluring sight to behold. You enter and walk straight to the cashier/front area to place your order. Their menu is extensive including sandwiches, soups, salads, etc. including seasonal foods like the Philly and Ham ‘n Brie. 4.5÷5FOODS– I opted for the half sandwich/half salad(chicken pesto and spring salad) and my brother ordered the half sandwich/half soup(tuna salad and clam chowder in bread bowl). Both meals were $ 8.29 each, fairly reasonable! The meal was hearty but I always wished there was more :) The Chicken Pesto sandwich(all natural chicken breast, tomatoes, arugula, pesto mayo, balsamic vinaigrette, sourdough baguette) was PERFECT. Let’s say it again, PERFECT. The chicken was juicy, moist, and cut generously(it was existent in my sandwich unlike at Boulanger); arugula and greens complimented the fowl well; the pesto mayo was to-die-for and I ordered an extra side of it as well; and lastly the sourdough baguette was crispy and toasty(not burnt, thanks Le Boulanger). I was also thoroughly impressed by the Spring Salad. The greens were fresh and cranberry and walnuts were added too. Loved it! Of course their clam chowder in bread bowl is ONFLEEK– creamy, smooth, hearty, and saporific mm soupy heaven. 5⁄5CONCLUSION– The service was also splendiferous! There were many attentive employees running around and also gave us what we needed :) Prices are reasonable as well for the quantity/portions with an awesome loyalty rewards program. I love this café and will definitely be back! Thanks Boudin for a perfect experience.

Came in on a Wednesday evening. Ordered the turkey cranberry sandwhich with a clam chowder & also a salad. Business seemed kind of slow, not that many people coming in. Service was good, nothing to complain about. Food was good, the clam chowder seemed like it was missing something but other than that it wasn’t too bad.

In addition to clean and spacious interior seating, service is also pretty good as the waitstaff brings you your orders and cleans your plates. Bonus points for not even asking for tip when you give your order to the cashier. I find it funny that many places ask for tip when they don’t bring you your order and/or bus your table like this place does. The clam chowder soup in a bread bowl was pretty decent. The sourdough bread is toasted very well as you can see the crisp golden brown markings at top section of the bread that is cut out to make the bowl. For a little over 7 bucks, I think bread bowl is pretty expensive as it’s like 70% carbs and 30% soup. SOooo much carbs. The sourdough bread itself didn’t come out warm so it didn’t feel very fresh. The soup itself was also pretty standard for clam chowder. Nothing that stands out or special; I would have liked to see more clams and more bold flavors and stronger seasoning as you have the sourdough to balance out the flavors of the soup

Went to do my grocery shopping at the Trader Joe’s then stopped here for some lunch with the little girl of mine. And we LOVED it! First of all, the place is really nice inside. Super clean, and the staff was outstanding. From the young lady just taking our order Brittani who was very sweet to us. To the gentlemen Alex who brought out our food and quickly came to us to take our plates as we were leaving. In places like this you usually get half ass service but those two do the job and put actual effort into their job. Had the pesto chicken sandwich half with a bowl of tomato soup. So darn good! Had shredded parmesan cheese and big croutons that were like toasted to perfection cause it reminded me of a yummy grill cheese. They all melted in the soup to make it this lumpy, smooth, delicious soup. Oh and it was 100 degrees outside and I didn’t even care cause it was that good! Little missy had a child pizza cheese. She eat it all. Very surprising and said it was the«yummiest cause it didn’t have too much sauce». $ 13.18 home run!!!

Good salads and soups. The service is good as well but it doesn’t quite match the feeling of the San Francisco location. Something to recommend: Old fashioned Tomato Soup, Couscous Salad, and our favorites: BBQ Chicken Salad and Apple Cottage Cheese Salad The soups and sandwiches are delicious as well. I recommend the Tomato Soup.

Yay, finally a Boudin near my home! I was so excited to go for lunch for my favorite chicken salad sandwich. Came on a Monday for lunch with my parents, and it was fairly empty around 11:30AM. Placed my order, although some confusion from the cashier, had to keep repeating my order. Our food took a little bit longer than usual, and I sat on a wobbly chair unfortunately. We did not sit in a booth because the booth was dirty, crumbs and oily stains everywhere. Our food came out by the manager(?) possibly, and as he placed the plate down, down my dad’s water cup and water went down all over the ground and his pants. We moved to another table, and the manager was apologetic. He even gave us a loaf of bread which was not necessary but a nice gesture. Unfortunately the dirty booth I sat in, the table was so wobbly. Overall, food is great, but they still need to get in the swing of things. Surprised that the tables and chairs are so wobbly if this place is new. Will be back again for my sandwich soup fix!
