Ok, the job was almost done to satisfaction. The new sidewalk was great, however if I have to call you three times to come pickup the safety stakes and take the wood molds out from around the sidewalk. That is not cool. I had to go on the weekend to remove the stakes and any potential safety hazards such as stakes sticking out of the group because kids would be walking to school this week. My parents had to get their friends to come and help remove the rest of the wood molds and fill in the crevices around the sidewalk. You removed the four story tree and hauled away all of the tree except for debris which the city picked up mostly. I was unhappy with how you DIDN’T secure the work area from cars traveling in the street. The debris was all over the street and cars weren’t given ample warning to expect you working near the street. Thank god debris and whatever else didn’t fall on any cars. Not safe in my opinion. Your workers were great and did good work, but why would you think it was ok to park a truck on my driveway with a leaky transmission. My parents and I are somewhat happy with the job but our argument over cash payments and cash payments needed for each major step of the project was an MAJOR bad business practice. I will repeat here that if you ever hire a contractor you have to get all aspects of the project on paper and also specific what items you define such as in this case, remove stump and get plot plant-ready means to the landscaper that he is only going to take it 8 inches below ground level and not remove the rest of the rounds to make the plot plant-ready. The contractor specifically didn’t state certain things because he hoped to get us to give more money to the project because it was underbidded. Everything else was deemed as «not as understood what we meant» though we repeated the expectations several times. We don’t care that you have to pay your workers on a daily basis. If that is how you run your business then you don’t run a good business. We do not appreciate being extorted for cash. It is sad that I find more and more businesses act like this without integrity nor care about future business. Did I mention that several other businesses didn’t even bother to call back after repeated calls? There is no excuse in this day and age.
