This is possibly the worst 7-Eleven I’d seen anywhere in the country. It’s small and therefore, cramped. You could fall over merchandise. Their selection is not exactly good but then, they don’t have room for more. However, there are several other of their stores in the area – I thought I counted two on Camden or Hillsdale, as well, and another along Bascom. Why not have 1 good store instead of something so mediocre? I’m accustomed to 7-Eleven having freshly-made sandwiches every day(at good prices) that they can grill for you. I could find almost any drink or fuel or almost anything I needed, usually at reasonable prices. This just felt like the company forgot about the stores because they’re on the other coast.

I was very disappointed on the labeling of their prices here. I would run in and grab a bottle of the Starbucks frap drink on some mornings. The sign would state 2.69 but when I went to the register it would ring up 2.89. I noticed it one morning when I left but I needed to get on my way to work. But this morning I pointed it out to the guy and he went and grabbed another Starbucks type drink(the double-shot tall can) and it rang up 2.79… the dude thought the label was probably for that drink. When it clearly wasn’t I asked if I could have my drink at the 2.69 price and he really didn’t seem like he knew how to change the price or didn’t want to do it at all. I know its only 20 cents but times that by how many people go in there and that’s an additional profit. He just explained it was labeled wrong. But wrong for a while sir! I will be letting 7 – 11 know about this, since it is not the first time I have seen it at their stores.

It’s late Sunday night and my bf has food poisoning or the flu or something of that nature and wants some liquids. There are 27 – 11 stores that are really close… oddly close to one another. I choose this one for some reason, and it was the lamest 7 – 11 ever. It just really bothered me. The merchandising is terrible and the place is laid out weird. I should be tempted by lots of bad for me snacks coming to a place like this… but I really wasn’t. I wanted snacks and just did not get what I wanted. There were also like 3 people working… or hanging out and listening to the boom box propped up on the ice cooler in the back… I wasn’t sure what they were doing there but it was a creepy experience all around. I don’t thank heaven for this one…

Well… the reason I go to 7 – 11 has changed as I get older. I used to spend my $ 5 allowance on 10,000 calories of high-fructose hydrogenated oil in the form of candy, followed by a gallon of slurpee.(I wonder why I’ve had love handles since I was 12). Now, I go to convenience stores for one reason and one reason only: Vitamin Water. This store has the audacity to only stock a couple flavors which are all bad You try to scrape by on two or three flavors as a convenience store, and you are doing yourself a disservice. When you have many more options in Budweiser size variations than Vitamin Water flavors, you get low marks in my book. I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to ask that a 7−11stock fruit punch flavored Vitamin Water… I mean really. Coke just spent billions of dollars to acquire this company, so you need to get on board fully. The amount of people that still want a soda to quench their thirst is dwindling everyday. Vitamin Water is the option between bottled water and soda that gives you the flavor you want without the tons of high-fructose corn syrup. Plus you get the added attributes of vitamins and electrolytes. Know about it.
