We share the noodles, beef and shrimp fries. It was tasty but they should use the garlic sauce on the noodles. They warned me that the noodle are the least liked due to little seasoning; I dont need things to be hot just have more flavor on the noodles. the fries and beef were very good.

This food truck was pretty bad. Last week my company had a nice abundant of food trucks come and oddly, this one came a week late unannounced. They even came with items sold out! their most popular item… how do you do come unannounced and sold out of your fries? Which is in almost every dish. Ordered the pork belly — was not crispy as advertised, soggy and gross. The burrito was just pure rice, barely any cucumbers and carrots. The flavors were not there, the sauce wasn’t even strong enough to provide taste! Due to the excessive amount of rice, there is no flavor but the taste of regular white rice. Save your time and money if they don’t have the fries because their dishes lack flavor.

Saw the 3 Brothers Kitchen Food Truck at Off the Grid in Pleasanton. After perusing the menu, we decided to share the Caramelized Pork Belly Banh Mi for $ 9.25. It included romaine lettuce, pickled carrots and daikon, cucumbers, cilantro, and jalapeños. That was the best darn Vietnamese sandwich that I have ever eaten! The sandwich was frickkin delish! All the ingredients combined on that fresh roll to deliver one flavorful sandwich! Bomb! Have no idea how anything else on their menu tastes. Just hope that the Caramelized Pork Belly Banh Mi is part of their regular menu. I truly regret not purchasing a couple more of those sammies! 5 stars for this one item! Overall, I had a fine 4.5 stars experience. May round up in the future after trying other options on their menu.

This review is for just one item: the garlic fries with shrimp and chipotle mayo($ 8.00). Wow, I could smell the thing before I even saw it. One overstuffed small to-go box filled with artery-clogging delights. The curly fries were perfectly done — crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. There was no skimping on the garlic topping or the spicy chipotle mayo. There were 6 pieces of shrimp, not over cooked. Your cardiologist may not approve, but these things are darn tasty. There is a version without the chipotle mayo, but believe me, you need this stuff! DH says, «Very tasty and seemed very unhealthy. Haha.» DH thought they could have improved things by adding more shrimp. Food trucks always seem to be a bit more expensive than restaurants.

I asked for nothing spicy, but that resulted in not being able to eat the nasty pork belly burrito with the hot mayo. Moreover, the flour tortilla had a foul odor and taste like burnt, aged oil. Although the pork belly was tender, the portions were small. Nonetheless, nothing could taste good when overwhelmed by the wrap itself.

Had the pleasure of visiting their food truck in Hayward, CA. this past Monday and I have to say the filet Nguyenon was SOOOOOOO good! I loved it. Not to mention, the young in working the truck was super patient with me as we tried to ensure I chose a menu item that did not have shrimp or shrimp base or stock in it, as I am allergic. We ended up on the Filet mignon and I must say, it was so super fantastic. Thanks guys and hope to run into you again soon.

Good solid 4 star food! Their food truck was at an event so had the curry chicken burrito and pork belly burrito. Each one with its own sauce, both very good and slightly spicy. My only complaint, MORE pork belly!

Banh mi wrap was so unappealing I tossed it. What a waste of money and food. Maybe something is better on this truck, but what I had was pretty awful.

Saw Brothers Kitchen at an event and went for their chicken curry burrito, advertised as having chicken, caramelized vegetables, and rice with a mild curry sauce for $ 9. The burrito was quite large and quite delicious, with tons of white meat chicken(don’t think it was fried) and sauce. I added some Sriracha sauce(provided on the side of the truck) to add some heat. I would have liked more vegetables in the burrito to change up the texture and flavor profiles. I didn’t notice them in the burrito. This is a far better curry burrito than at Curry Up Now and worth a spot on your short list of potential dinners if you see this truck at Off The Grid.

3 Brothers Kitchen is another one of this new wave of Asian Fusion trucks that have popped up as of late. They stopped by Off The Grid Serramonte and their extensive menu definitely caught my attention, especially their Shrimp n’ Garlic Curly Fries. I decided on giving that a try and their Pham Fried Chicken Curry since I was in the mood for some good curry. Pham Fried Chicken Curry w/Rice — Panko Fried Halal Chicken Thigh Smothered in 3BK Curry Sauce Well, they definitely give a nice amount of chicken, however the chicken was really dry for me. Even dousing it with their curry couldn’t really save the dryness of the chicken. I’m willing to try this again, but it wouldn’t be something I’d think about ordering first. Shrimp n’ Garlic Curly Fries – Grilled Butter Seasoned Shrimp served over Garlic Tossed Seasoned Curly Fries w/MayoChipotle Yeah, this was good! Oh man, the curly fries were seasoned well and they gave huge amount of garlic shrimp! Plus the Mayo Chipotle sauce added some nice spicy flavor to the shrimp and fries. This is definitely the thing to get! Of course they have a whole slew of other signature menu items like noodles, rice bowls, and banh mi, so I would surely go back to try them out. Their Du Dry Noodles look really good from the pics on Unilocal. I’m glad to see another Asian Fusion food truck around that doesn’t just take the easy route and wrap everything in a burrito. 3 Brothers Kitchen has a pretty solid menu and based off what I’ve had and seen from their pics, I’m pretty convinced that they have great staying power with this new generation of food trucks.

This is one of my favorite food trucks that comes to the east bay. They usually show up at my work and I always get super excited to see them. I’ve gotten a number of dishes and I really enjoyed them all. Here’s a list of some of my favorites: Chicken Curry Burrito– this is a special and not always on the menu but when it is I always get it. This is a HUGE Burrito I usually spread it out to at least 2 lunches. The wrap if filled with tender chicken, delicious rice, and loads of vegetables. I cant explain how delicious this curry sauce was — YUM! And the tortilla they use is so thin and very very tasty. One of my favorite things to get! Garlic Shrimp with curly fries– The shrimp on this is really delicious, but they put too much sauce on it so I always ask for the sauce on the sing. The curly fries are just okay, but really the main part of this is the delicious shrimp! Du Du Dry Noodles– Again this is a huge portion with loads of noodles and a ton of protein. It is a dry noodle but there is plenty of delicious sauce. It comes with a variety of meats/fish and then also some crushed peanuts. Really good! I want to keep trying some other items but its hard because I am in love with this chicken curry burrito so it makes it hard to order anything else!

I ordered the Shaken Filet Nguyenon over the Garlic Tossed Seasoned Curly Fries, but received them in separate containers. While it was nice to get bonus rice I wasn’t expecting, I suspect the separation downgraded the experience as the fries didn’t get to soak up the shaken beef juice. But even so, I felt the food was still a little below par, so not sure how much that would help. Hence the«Meh. I’ve experience better» 2 star rating. Shaken Filet Nguyenon: The inclusion of lettuce was a very bad choice as it quickly wilted under the hot beef and, hence, tasted pretty nasty. I wasn’t feeling the mushroom bits in the shaken beef; it was the first time I’ve seen them in shaken beef. It felt like the whole thing was cooked too long at too low a temperature. The beef cubes were mostly gray with a little brown sear and tasted well-done; it would have been better to cook them at a much higher temperature to sear the outside and leave the inside medium-rare. Due to the cooking technique, the red onions were in that weird soggy state where they weren’t yet caramelized but lost their raw tang. Also, didn’t care for the the small dice of onions; would have been better in larger pieces. On the plus side, the beef seemed like a good quality cut even if it could have been cooked better. Garlic Tossed Seasoned Curly Fries: Boring without any toppings. The garlic allotment was pretty weak and the seasoning wasn’t that notable.

I got to try 3 Brothers Kitchen today. I was really impressed with the wide variety of menu options. I decided to go with the Grilled Chicken Banh Mi sandwich without the mayo. The sandwich was very delicious! i love how the chicken was very tender. There was a decent amount of chicken inside the sandwich. The baguette was toasted perfectly, which added a nice crunch with every bite. I enjoyed the fresh vegetables inside the sandwich, too. The portion size of the sandwich is great. I can’t wait to try other items.

Chicken Banh Mi… you’re my only friend. I’m so happy I gave in and bought food from this truck. Although some pieces of the chicken were on the dry side, the chipotle mayo, cilantro, jalapeños, daikon and fresh french bread put together caused the flavor explosion in my mouth. I didn’t even care about the dirty looks my coworkers were giving me cuz of the food stains I got on my shirt. It’s a messy sandwich, but well worth it.

The Shrimp and Garlic Curly Fries are sinfully tasty. The shrimp are juicy, the chipotle mayo is the perfect addition and they give a generous amount. The portion is not very large but is very filling and hearty.

They came to Bishop Ranch today. I won’t eat at this truck ever again. The blandest noodles on the planet. I used two salt packets to taste anything. The sauce was not authentic Thai and tasted more like a spaghetti sauce. just gross. I took four bites and threw it out. For $ 9.00 I expect better quality for lunch.

So excited that Off the Grid has started a food truck event in Evergreen! This truck was there so my group tried a few things. We got Du Dry Noodle — rice phở noodles, shrimp, pork belly, fried fish patty, drenched in 3bk pork tomato chili topped with bean sprouts, green onions, chives, fried onions shallots, pork grinds. It reminded me of a pad thai without egg(which would’ve made it amazing) and lacked meat for the amount listed. Pretty good, but not great. We also got the shrimp garlic fries. The sauce was sooo good! We put it on the side because my cousin is only seven and he wanted some fries too, but I wish it was smothered on them. Great meal!

Went straight for the garlic shrimp curly fries(shrimp with garlic curly fries drizzled with chipotle mayo) and I was very happy with that decision(except to subtract a star for being stingy with the shrimp). I also ordered the chicken curry over rice, which I would probably order again, not so much for the curry but for the chicken, which was moist and perfectly cooked.

Food truck was at our office complex today and I couldn’t resist giving them a try. Service was a little slow even with only 5 or so people waiting, I got my order after 10 minutes. This does seem typical of food trucks though. I got the du dry noodle, $ 9.26 after taxes. I was intrigued by the fusion of Asian elements of rice noodles, pork belly and shrimp with a tomato chilli. I like the crispy pork belly and fried fish cakes. The tomato chili definitely has an Asian flair to it. Reminded me a bit of a tomato-ey version of the Taiwanese dan dan noodles

Paid almost $ 9 for a banh mi… what? Really pricey for what you get. Was intrigued to try their banh mi b/c I’m a sucker for Vietnamese sandwiches and they advertise their sandwich as using a special sauce but the sauce wasn’t anything spectacular. It kinda just tasted like ranch with a little bit of a kick. The bread is nice & crispy and I do like that they heat up the bread on some sort of griddle so it does come out crispy and warm. The shredded chicken was OK, tender enough but again, didn’t blow me away. Thought the sandwich was just the right size but definitely not as big as Lee’s. They use shorter bread similar in size to a hoagie roll. I hear their other dishes are tastier so maybe I’ll try something else next time. My friends ordered their dry noodle and they said it tasted very«fishy» possibly due to the fish sauce they use as seasoning. Wouldn’t go out of my way to get their banh mi if I can cheaper and more satisfying ones for half the price.
