One of my favorite place to get desserts! this place has amazing mango rolls and mango mocha. They also have lots of different other desserts and drinks as well. This dessert place is open late so if you need some sweet cravings it is perfect! Some of the desserts run out towards the end of the night because they make it daily to keep it fresh. One of my favorites is the mango roll mocha which is covered in coconut and it comes in a package of three. It is not too sweet and the mango fruit is fresh. The taste of it is very fresh and delicious. It is easy to eat a few of these packages. The mango balls are also very flavorful the mochi is not too chewy so it makes it delicious and the mango inside is sweet.

So I was here for #33 dessert platter which should be $ 28, but they charged me 32.10 and told me it’s just $ 1 dollar something different. Err. It’s $ 4 dollar something different BUT that’s not the point. I wanted $ 28 one. She charged me without notifying me and her explanation was I should have ordered 24hrs ahead. I see it nowhere from menu or any notice. She just ate my money. Wt.

Came here on a late late Saturday night around midnight and they were still open! Score for late Asian dessert shops still opening for business! We walked in and there was literally no one in there(so just workers and us left). We thought they were closing shop(didn’t look at the closing time) and was about to quickly order our drinks to go, but they insisted that we sit down and take our time since they don’t close until 1am. We decided to just order some drinks and some desserts while we sat there and talked. My absolute favorite drink to get here and probably the only place I would head to when I crave this drink is the Black Grass Jelly drink with mini tapioca balls. The drink is not super sweet and I always opt for less ice to dilute the drink. The black grass jelly and the tapioca combo is a nice texture to drink up for those looking for multiple textures to chew on. My friend ordered a Taro Milk with tapioca balls. They always make their drinks quick since they prepare the drink ahead of time and have it sitting in the freeze in large containers waiting for guests to order them. For the food, it’s like a sensory overload of different smells all over the place. You have egg custards, black sesame, jello, fruity drinks, macarons, fresh tea and custards, etc. that makes you just want to grab them just to try it out. While friend ordered the Cappuccino jelly bites, I ordered their freshly made Hong Kong Style Egg Waffles that you can smell as soon as you set foot in the store. When I got it, I was surprised that it was square shaped and super super crunchy(LOVE!). We polished it all and there was a slight discussion/debate if we wanted another one(we remained good since it was so late). I’ll keep coming back as long as they still make my drink for me and provide me those delicious tasty crispy HK style egg waffles.

Parking is plentiful, there is a pretty large array of drinks and desseets, and the lady at the register was pretty nice. My drink, the lychee tea, was way too sweet, but my sister got a the milk with fruits which was delicious. We also got the green tea desert with red beans which was also delicious! Credit card over 10 dollars.

I came here for beef chow fun and the don’t even have that. They only serve 3 food dishes. I also wanted the salted fish fried rice. What a bummer If I could put no stars I would.

This place has the greatest dessert ever! Staff are friendly and helpful. If you have a long drive home(like my drive back to Bay Area), they will pack a big bag of ice to keep them cool. This is my 2nd time to this place and it is still so good!

Customer service was horrible. Lady was rude and gave us attitude. She had a mean tone in her voice and I’m not coming back.

I’m a total sucker for good Hong Kong style dessert. This Phoenix Dessert location’s feel and menu options remind me most of the dessert shops in Hong Kong. My favorite is the silken tofu with coconut milk, tapioca and mangoes. I recently found out there serve this exact dessert but with black sesame ice cream instead of mangoes. OMG. It was so good. They also have durian-based desserts which my mom loves. Not my thing but you can get the authentic stuff if you’re into it. The hot desserts are all pretty good EXCEPT the walnut purée. It doesn’t taste like walnuts at all and r has a strange greasiness to it. I wish they made peanut purée. Their black sesame paste is pretty amazing as is the black rice with coconut milk. One bowl of either is good for sharing between two or three people if you’re sharing and ordering several things. This location has a more expansive dessert menu than other locations. They even make the waffle egg pancake things(gai dan zai — or is it called gai zai dan)? If you don’t smell them already when you walk in, the servers here will try to push them on you. You order and think you gave them your full list but they will always ask if you want to order something else. Hahaha. It’s kind of annoying. Happens EVERY time I come here. The refrigerator section is stocked with all the goodies from the menu as well as beverages. This location carries a wide variety of desserts served in a cup such as almond jello, black sesame jello-ish thing, tiramisu, etc. It was easy to get out of control here. I can easily spend $ 20 with a group of 3 – 4 people. The desserts average $ 3-$ 5 each.

The DURIAN Rolls are AMAZING. For 5 dollars, you get three rolls filled with REALDURIAN. I can eat a million of these and still not have enough. If you love Durian you NEED to try these out!

A must stop in LA! durian Mochi — a must try if you like durian of course. Walnut pastry is also very good. I had the ice kumquat tea, it was very very strong, a bit too strong if fact, has a tiny of bitterness, but hey concentrate is better than diluted right?! Love this place!

Location: it is located in the same plaza of a local Asian supermarket. Parking is choatic but there is plenty of parking. The place is a bit smell. It is OK to just sit down, eat and leave, but you it might be a bit uncomfortable to stay more than 20 minutes due to limited spacing in between the tables. Service: it was OK. They were short with you, but it is more of a cultural thing. Food: I ordered a mango pudding but there was hardly any mango flavor in it. The eggo things that they made taste very good, but it was a bit overcooked. Rating: I’ll come back here to try something else. But not the mango pudding.

I remember their dessert being a lot better before but not so much now. I tried their«turtle jelly» and one was softer than the other one, and one tasted completely bland(suppose to have a slight bitter taste to it). Their other cold desserts are really sweet to the point where it’s not edible. The tiramisu had a strong hit of liqueur but it worked well. The hot sesame pudding was OK but would’ve been better is they use less sugar.

Smaller location in the chain. You know what you’re expecting. Just wish that the outside was a lot cleaner. Pro tip: Go to the one on Valley. It’s much bigger and nicer.

Phoenix Dessert serves up some legit desserts. I think most of these are made in-house. Some desserts and drinks are authentic Chinese staples, whereas others seem like Phoenix inventions. Either way, they’re pretty darn good. I was impressed! There’s many options to choose from, but you can’t go wrong with mochi or anything with mango.

I’ve been dying to come here to try their desserts! I spent like $ 20 bucks here last weekend. What did I buy? –durian roll –mango coconut roll –coconut taro pudding –red bean pudding –mango mochi I reaaaaaaallllyyyyy loved the durian roll. It had very strong durian flavor and the durian in the middle was awesomely sweet! The mango coconut roll was pretty good as well. I think I prefer the durian one though. I didn’t really like the puddings. It want all that stellar. It taste fine. I probably wouldn’t get it again. The mango mochi was also just alright I do like the texture of their mochi! The mango inside was okay. The rolled desserts also had the yummy mochi as the main layer so I really enjoyed that!(: Verdict: I definitely recommend the roll desserts. Will come back to try their hot soup desserts!
