came here because as i was passing and caught a glimpse of the sales racks(how could one not be curious?) on the outside, were a few racks: 4.99&10.99. Though i did not find anything in the cheapest rack, I did find two in the 10 $ rack(will post pics later) The rest of the store also seemed to be on sale for the most part but nothing caught my eye PLUS i was already happy with my finds. Not sure if its the entire store but a lot of the items i saw were one size fits all. I am wary of one size-sizes because though they usually fit me(I am a size small) sometimes they can run a bit big for me. Just be sure to keep this in mind if you decide to shop here! Employee was pleasant and helpful when I asked a question, nothing to complain about.

That’s the place I went to shop for clothes the most. The clothes are imported from Korea every week. The styles are unique and the price is really good. Some of my friends dislike the sales/owner over there as they may not be very polite or eager to sell. So far I don’t have trouble with them as I don’t like sales to bug me a lot. The only issue I have is there are only two fitting rooms and sometimes middle-aged women may shop for the clothes with you, lol. Check the on sale ones too, only $ 5 or $ 10!!! They are franchises; there are stores in Rosemead, Cerritos as far as i know. My friend used to shop at Cerritos one, she said that was good too.

Always checking the $ 5 rack and $ 10 room first. I usually go to take a look and because the inventory is so random, don’t expect to always find something every time(or you’ll end up pretty broke). There wasn’t tax before but I went last week and they know add tax. I also never knew people haggled until reading reviews right now. Oh well, it was cheap enough. As with the staff, they’re not the nicest people around but it’s not like they will do anything bad to you; you’ll just take notice of their somewhat attentive and aggressiveness. For example, I placed back an item onto their $ 5 rack outside and I hear one of the employees walk from the back of the store out to the rack, with her shoes clacking away on the floor, to adjust what I put back, when I had neatly placed it back. So there’s my –1 star for that. I have no idea when they restock their inventory during the week, but I wish I knew so I could check out what’s new. Pretty loyal to the store for the cheap prices and probably the only place I can find cheap Korean clothing.(If you know other places, please tell me!)

I have to write this updated review sadly. Went there last night(Monday) with my mom. The clothing and stuff are great but not the customer service. When I went to the first store in Rosemead(inside the Square Plaza on Garvey), the people who work there are nice and friendly. They are willing to help the customers if they have endless questions and they always willing to help. Now back to San Gabriel store. The girl who works on the Monday night shift 3⁄25 is super awful. At first my mom want to exchange the clothes and she kept rolling her eyes every time my mom asked her a question. «How much is this?» my mom asked. She rolled her eyes once and said, «don’t you know how to read? It says on the tag!!!(In Mandarin)» She replied in a super rude tone. As customers tried their clothes on and put the clothes aside, she walked super fast in the store as if she’s so mad at everyone that shop there. Before we paid, my mom found another piece of clothing with no tags on it. My mom still be so friendly and asked her, «how much is it?» She ROLLed her eyes again and said in a loud voice, «where did you find this?(in Mandarin)»… Totally pissed me off!!!(Geez, I worried if she rolls her eyes so much would it make her eyes crossed?) Lastly, my mom got her clothes exchanged and we bought some extra stuff. Being super nice my mom, told her that this one is the one we exchange, and this one is the one we just bought. She didn’t say a word and stared at my mom. As to me, she didn’t treat me that nasty. I felt sad. Stop discriminating your customer. Not because you work in a fashion store and see an lady that is older and they don’t have the rights to buy fashionable clothes, lady. I have to be honest, working in a fashion business is not easy, I totally understand, but if this isn’t what you enjoy doing, please let other who really enjoys doing it to do the job, happily. To the dear owner, I shop at your store since 2009 maybe even before this rude lady work here. I hope when you pick a employee/candidate who work for you, ask them first, can you handle the job happy from the bottom of your heart and be super patient with your customers. They represent your brand don’t let them piss of your customer again. Hope the message gets to the owner and I am more than happy to take my review down if the issue gets fixed. Chalsea the loyal customer

Since my last review, things have changed a bit. They’re still around, which I’m super thankful for because most of these Asian-type clothing stores in the 99 Ranch Plaza plaza come and go often. The reason why Bora is still here is because they offer good quality clothing at a super affordable price. I always check their $ 5 sale racks first! Sometimes I leave with nothing, sometimes I leave with a million things. For example, today, I left with 6 items(four dresses, one top & one maxi skirt) for $ 30. THIRTY. BUCKS. Why? Because they were all $ 5 a piece. Such a great deal since they would normally go for $ 15 – 30 elsewhere. Other than the $ 5 sale racks, they have a $ 10 room and the rest of the store has clothing priced from $ 15 to $ 50. I would say that 40% of the store has decent to great quality clothing, and the rest are pretty thin and disposable. Bora is Korean owned and they buy from the same wholesale manufacturers as Forever 21, which is why sometimes you’ll find Forever 21 items here(with tags cut off). You do have to do some browsing and digging, but since the store isn’t large and it’s really organized, it shouldn’t be a problem. Now the things that have changed are: 1) The Korean owners and managers are rarely there anymore, which means no more haggling. They usually have a Chinese salesperson working now, so you can’t really negotiate prices with them since they don’t have the authority to do so. 2) As of 4 months ago, you do have to pay tax now. Even if you pay in cash. 3) The crazy Chinese saleslady mentioned in my previous review is NOLONGERTHERE! Hallelujah! Bora is still one of my favorite places to shop and I think is one of 626’s best kept secrets. I posted on Facebook that I bought 6 items for $ 30 and now all my girlfriends want to know where I went. I’m still contemplating if I want to reply and share this place LOL ;)

love this place for their cheap clothes! i found a lot of cute clothes at this place before to my liking ^^ most of them were 5 – 10 $ too at a very good quality. but recently, i feel like the quality of their clothes has gone kinda bad? some of their clothes on the sale rack arent that great as before anymore :( and i feel like they havent had much new stock in clothes either. well maybe i just went at a bad time :( but overall, love their clothes there: D

This place is pretty cool. its cheap, and i live close by :) okay, i have to say although there is some cute clothes, you will definitely HAVETO do some serious digging! i would say maybe 75% of the stuff there i looked at and was like wow this looks horrid. but the other 25% is pretty cute. the girl that helped me was actually nice. she wasn’t following me around but she was helpful when i needed her. :D some of their skirts do come short on me though. but then again i am 5’9. i asked if they have a L and she was like you’re not a large! and i explained to her i needed something longer. she told me they only carry small and medium. so be weary of that if you’re on the larger side. & yes, no tax if you pay cash. AWESOMEEE

I love the clothes and prices at Bora Fashion! I come here every time I visit the plaza it’s in. Some of the clothes are really odd looking, but other than that, you can definitely find something cute. There’s always a $ 5 rack and you can find some really cute shirts or dresses there. I recently went here and there was a 20% off sale on all regular items. There was also a $ 10 rack. They also sell accessories like socks, bras, scarfs, clips, etc. Most of the stuff are from Korea, which is really cool. They play Kpop songs in the store, which I’m a big fan of. There are no refunds, but there are exchanges within 3 days. The best part is there is absolutely NOTAX at all!(well, if you pay in cash) If you use your credit card, there is tax.
