They stopped selling counter tops. Maybe something to do with the accident on the premises that happen earlier in the year.

I used GGI to carpet two sets of staircases and a small room. They were able to do the installation the same week I got their estimate. The price per square foot for carpet, padding and installation was reasonable. There was a hiccup the first day they came out because of an issue between GGI and the subcontractor about the stairs. I was annoyed when I immediately called GGI after the sucontractors left, but GGI handled it and said that they would send someone the next day. That actually worked better for my schedule, and the guys who came were on time, pleasant, fast and did a good job. I’m happy with the results.

Contrary to what their name suggest, they do not actually sell any granite. Supposedly, they did at one point, but such is no longer the case. Wish I would have know that before driving across the city to get there. They should probably change the name to avoid further confusion.

Had a great experience with CGI/Galaxy and highly recommend them for your countertop work. They not only gave me a great price on granite($ 2150. vs. $ 4,800 from Fox Marble), they also took care of the demolition of my old counter and installation of the new stone — something that wasn’t even included with Fox. Fox told me I had to hire a separate contractor to build the form. CGI was full service. There was a slight error in the measurement of my island countertop, but CGI sent back the mis-cut stone and then re-cut a new piece of granite — NOADDITIONALCHARGE. That’s what I call great service. The finished counters look great, I might add. The polish is smooth and clear. The edging is just exactly as I’d intended. Glad I kept shopping around and didn’t go with my initial(expensive) options and found CGI.

San Francisco Galaxy Granite has been my interior construction business main support in the past 15YEARS!!! This store owner Mr. PENG is definitely a successful business man, but what I learned from this business, and I have borrowed their service ideas practicing in my own business and reaching my success, is their always thinking what their customers are in need!!! Their material resource is not like other store buying from local middle man, and sell in SF bay area… but the owner travels every direct Granite, Marble or Carpet original manufacturers, and import or bring it in to this store without any middle persons; in addition, they always have the largest range of selection and lowest price. You can not find other store can compete with this one! Amazing thing is the owner even goes to the installation site for quality control or workmanship assurance!!! The installation crews have worked for Galaxy Granite over years with Mr. Peng’s direct management, and no matter what customer raising any questions, they will come fast and resolve to reach customer’s satisfaction. Many of my clients were all happy after their jobs completed. I strongly recommend this store to our SF bay area commercial or residential customers; once you experienced their services, you will agree with me what I have just said here. Thank you for reading.

Dealt with the GGI in San Francisco location and Philip was AWESOME!!! Not only was he more than willing to provide assistance, he was very patient and offered opinion(s) when asked. My husband and I already decided to go with Quartz instead of granite(less maintenance required) and had checked a few other places. GGI by far, carried the MOST quartz selection and was reasonably priced. We also bought a new Blanco sink(LOVE it), which was priced the same at a few other locations. Although we were out of town during kitchen remodel, GGI(Philip) reassured that I should have my wonderful«dream» kitchen upon our return. As promised, GGI delivered and our counter top is beautiful. Workmanship was superb!!! No problems at all. I highly recommend GGI in San Francisco!

My experience with this store is very awful. They over quoted us, sold our selected material to another customer, and tried to give me unusable remaining pieces. We were not experienced enough to tell they were dishonest. We simply went there with a friend. My counter top was small and should only require one piece of granite. GGI people sold us two pieces; they didn’t mark material and labor required clearly on the quote. The day after I placed the order, GGI people called and told me that one of the two pieces were broken, therefore they would give me another piece. However, the friend went to GGI with me told me that he saw both pieces of granite I ordered in the store a couple of days later. It seems they simply sold that piece they claimed to be broken to someone else! GGI didn’t deliver the remaining granite to us. When we asked, GGI claimed there’s nothing left. They later said they found some remaining pieces. However those are not usable material, one has with big holes and the other is different color /pattern. Be careful when you work and deal with this store!

We discovered their huge warehouse in South San Francisco, which gave us many, many choices for granite(ok, maybe even too many!) We found two very unusual slabs and they set them aside for us(after payment) for a month or so until we were ready to install them. We wanted to avoid seams if at all possible, but the countertop to be covered was large and would require some seams. Mr. Peng came over to help us lay the pattern on the granite in an aesthetically pleasing plan. We were also able to go to their fabricator’s workroom where the cutting of the granite takes place and talk with their foreman about this job, who understood our concerns completely. He also knew enough about wooden templates that come with sinks not to trust their dimensions(he insisted on our bringing the sink to his site so that he could measure accurately, and boy, was he right! He saved us from a huge headache!) The result of this careful process with GGC and the fabricator is an amazing job. No cracks; no visible seams at all(even when we know where they are, it’s hard to find them!) and a beautiful countertop. We recommend Galaxy Granite!

Quite a large selection of granite and marble slabs as well as prefab granite countertops. Price per sq/ft on slabs was a bit higher than a lot of places we went to but did have some unique pieces. Seemed to be open to negotiate on price some.

Big Derek hooked me up on some granite for my night stand. He knows just about anybody who can help you out with your tiles — from fabricating to installing. Bring Big Derek some food and he’ll certainly help you out with a big smile. DON’T go to dragon lady(thats Big Derek’s boss), she will try to rip you off.
