This place is awesome! I had one on the best dining experiences here. The food is great and the service is friendly. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel you at home. If you’re looking for a great dinning experience, this is your place!

I really like the library bistro, and have been several times for lunch whenever I’m in the San Fernando area. It’s a very cute little library themed restaurant, and it’s got a fancy air to it. They always have a special of the day for lunch that I always take advantage off. The service is very good and the food is good. You’ll pay about ten bucks for lunch, which is fair since you sit down and will be served

The service at this place is terrible I went there for lunch today and waited 40 minutes for my food and I had to remind them about it because they had forgotten about us

I just called Library Bistro(Jan 28, 2105) and they are OPEN! Unilocal, they have been trying to contact you to correct this. As for a review, I have been to Library Bistro only once but thoroughly enjoyed it, so was bummed to think it was closed. Going back today for what I expect to be another terrific lunch.

This place is hard to find, but definitely worth the search. The blackened chicken sandwich is awesome! The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit tight. They also have a nice outdoor courtyard seating area. I’d come here again.

I was so happy when this place opened in San Fernando. There isn’t much variety around town much less anything healthy and fresh! My favorites are the protein style Turkey burger and the teriyaki chicken bowl! Love the atmosphere and the customer service is exceptional! The waiters are always very friendly and attentive! If you’re in San Fernando do yourself a favor stop by and taste their amazing food!!!

I have recieved gift cards and said WOW a new spot in San Fernando. sadly its the same spot that has had 2 previous owners but looks exactly the same. I got the special«spaghetti with meat balls» and they were still frozen. my daughter ordered a kid meal burger. it was extra rare(bloody) and when the burger went back it was down right comical. the kitchen is litterally 5 feet away and the cook and waitress seem to think nobody can hear them talk. im trying to just be real but the food was not good. my wife and other daughter got wrong food. I read great reviews and even something about chips and salsa but sadly no chips or salsa for us. We were brought a chrome cone thing with a paper funnel with garlic bread. it sucks when you havev $$$ in gift cards and you dont want to go gack or even give them away. We left and walked to a new coffee spot down the street and tried to just forget the mistake we made for dinner. I did give 1 card to guy hanging in front of library. I hope the service orfood improves or the cook and waitress stop talking about customers or at least whisper.

Nice little fancy-ish spot. We came here for my wife’s birthday. We constantly roam around this area and always noticed this place, but we never went inside. As college students, it’s not exactly in our budget to always go out and eat in nicer restaurants(even if it’s only semi-nicer than the usual). But for her birthday? Sure, let’s finally try it out. Lovely settings, decent service, acceptable prices, and really good food. I wouldn’t go out and say the food that we had was something absolutely special, but it didn’t disappoint greatly either. It’s what one would expect from a typical bistro… it’s just odd to find a bistro in this place. Normally, a review like this would get a 3-star rating from me, but something about it doesn’t seem really«3-star-esque». I believe it’s the settings. Nice, quiet, comfy but not too casual… calming without being absolutely peaceful. The perfect place to read a book and have a nice meal on the side. There is one flaw though: It can get pretty noisy inside if there’s a lot of customers. Outside of that, the place is lovely. 4-stars.

I had lunch here for the first time today. Really nice ambiance. Sat at a comfy booth with two other ladies. Service was awesome. Fresh squeezed lemonade with iced tea best drink ever. Everything we ordered was so delicious. Kudos to the chef and owner for their yummy menu. *House green salad — perfect *Albondigas soup — loved it — comes with side of rice, tortillas, onion, cilantro, and salsa verde *Carne Asada salad — the Carne Asada was so tender and delicious — served rice and beans which was a yummy surprise *Special of the day — garlic & white wine pasta served with chicken and veggies was so delicious *Bread Pudding — bowl scrapping good served with bourbon butter scotch: p The food was awesome. The service was so good the owner took time out of her busy day to chat with us. Really down to earth place! It was so good I invited my family their for dinner tonight can’t wait to try their green enchiladas! Xoxo, from my foodie heart to yours.

I found out about this awesome place through Instagram. Then a coworker mentioned to me how awesomely delicious this place was. That was when I told her we had to have lunch there. This past Friday we went in for lunch with a couple other coworkers. It was around 1:00pM and the place had various groups of people in for lunch. We had the choice to sit wherever we liked. I noticed the décor was very libraryesc. Hence the name Library Bistro. A few minutes later the waitress came to take our drink order. We all had waters. Now for the best part the food. I had the bunless turkey burger. It was a turkey burger patty topped with tomato and mozzarella cheese. It was served with a side of grilled veggies which were delicious. I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes which were heavenly but not the best I’ve had. Two of my coworkers had the mushroom and cilantro grilled cheese with fries. They mentioned that it was delicious but was nothing like a grilled cheese more like a sandwich or panini. My other coworker had the chipotle and ham grilled cheese. She said it was absolutely delicious and cheesy. The service was decent. Maybe a 4 out 5 stars. They took a whole to being out our food and even longer to bring us our checks maybe because we split one bill into 4 cards. The décor gets a 5 out 5 stars. Since it was very cute and elegant inside and most of all clean. The food gets a 5 out 5. I want to come back and try more of their stuff.

Hungry in San Fernando always meant tamales at Carillos, but on this particular day, I had a hunger for something else. A friend of the family turned me onto Library Bistro, and to be honest I had my reservations when I saw the menu. Being a cook classically trained sometimes makes me a harsh critic. Oddly enough I found the ambience of the bistro historically befitting. Like it had been there for a long while, I brought my iPad, sipped on iced tea and really took my time with the salad and cajun chicken style sandwich. To tell you the truth I really have to go back to remember how good it was and get another dose. :)

The Library Bistro is a fairly new addition to Maclay Ave. I’ve seen it numerous times and have always wanted to stop by because of its appearance; There is an outside patio that has lights hanging and the inside has a nice relaxed vibe to it. Service The place wasn’t busy at all so service was expected to be good and that it was. The young lady helping us was helpful and respectful. She suggested items and served us timely, not much more we could really ask for. Food Their menu consists of Italian and Mexican which I found to be odd. I like that their is more than one ethnic option but I feel like they should specialize in one thing. The food wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful. I tried their house salad for $ 4 that came with carrots, kidney beans, onions, baby tomatoes, and garbanzo beans along with their signature dressing. The salad was boring and didn’t pull together. For my main course I tried their Tequila Cajun Shrimp for $ 14. This dish also lacked flavor; I think the reason it lacked flavor was because they didn’t mix it well. Towards the bottom of the plate the dish gained a bit of flavor. However, this flavor was still dull. They also give you a limited amount of shrimp, about 5 pieces, which also lacked flavor. It tasted like they didn’t even bother adding anything to the shrimp because it was already going to be tossed with sauce. Overall I might come back to try their lunch dishes but I probably wouldn’t try their dinner menu again, it’s too pricey for what you get in my opinion. Tip There is also parking in the back

Super egg-static to see this place change hands and menus from the Mexican restaurant that was previously there. This small town needs more of a variety and the menu here at Library Bistro is a fresh change worth trying– even if you’re not from around the area. We walked in a few minutes past 8P for dinner and they still sat us considering that the place closes @ 8P. Apparently they’re not staying open any later because they are still waiting on their liquor license — completely understandable. In a small city like San Fernando, I can only imagine the difficulties of putting together a tasty dish with quality ingredients and nice presentation for a good price, but Library Bistro has promise. I understand that they’ll have a seasonal menu and I look forward to their next menu. Recommendations — lemon chicken piccata

What a welcomed addition to San Fernando. The Library Bistro is just what the city needs to diversify from what appears to be 99% Mexican food restaurants in the area. The location is perfect offering nice outdoor seating to enjoy the 300+ days of sunshine we get in Southern Cali. They really did a great job with the décor and I commend them on keeping the menu small and simple. Its better to do a few things right than a lot of things mediocre. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the Tuna Melt with some of their home made fries. Both sandwiches were really good and the fries were nice and crispy. I absolutely hate mayo so I was pleasantly surprised to find they use very little mayo on their tuna melt. I had to try my fiancé’s and it was really good. My buffalo chicken sandwich was a little different than what I was expecting. I was expecting something dripping in buffalo wing sauce but instead got a nice mix of shredded chicken with onions and peppers covered in a nice melted pepper jack. I got the chipotle spread on the side. The server said its one of their more popular choices and I can see why. Our server was nice and attentive and always made sure our drinks were full even though we were sitting outside in the patio. I always make sure to ask the server for their recommendation when trying a new place and she gave me a nice run down of what she liked and what other customers seem to like. I’ll definitely be coming back. I hope this little gem makes it!

San Fernando has very limited dining options. As a business owner, there are few places to take clients for a good meal. I’m happy to say that Library Bistro is now added to my list. Service was quick and attentive. Servers were dressed up and the décor of the restaurant is nice and simple. I was so surprised that I bought lemonade in San Fernando and it was made with real lemons! My sandwich was amazing(mushroom grilled cheese), as was my salad and I really enjoyed the bread that came out before the meal. I will definitely be sending friends and business colleagues to go eat and support.

Great food. Blackened salmon is fantastic with the grilled vegetables. Turkey burger is also amazing. You can as the owner to prepare food in a certain way if you wish(grilled instead of fried) or an omelette at any time. If she has the ingredients she will be happy to make it for you. The place is very cozy and elegant. Try their Valentine’s day Special, you will not be sorry
