I love the bbq gluten free pizza! If you are a picky eater a day like organic or gluten free, then this is the place

YUM! One thing I do miss since I have become vegan is pizza! I love that Z Pizza offers a vegan pizza that is even more delicious then the traditional pizza! It is called the Berkeley Vegan and it comes with vegan sausage, vegan cheese and veggies. You also have the ability to add different veggies or make substitutions. :) It is a little pricey for the vegan pizza but it is definitely worth it.

Such a disappointment! A couple of weeks ago, my husband got a Hawaii pizza and I got a veggie one, both were not good, and definitely not worth of the money. The staff was friendly, that’s about it! They may have other good pizzas, but there was only two kinds we could get when we were there. Hate to compare these pizzas we had with those from fast pizza places. Not going back for sure!

Service wasn’t bad at all and the staff was nice. But besides that, nothing else stood out, except for the food, which was horrible. We ordered a veggie pizza and a meat calzone. There was no taste whatsoever to these items. Granted that we got a veggie pizza, but it was a soggy mess. Probably cos they used veggies that let out a lot of water. the calzone didn’t have much filling and barely any meat at all. We were basically eating dough the whole time. Both items were just very tasteless. oh well.

Starting off with my service experience. Upon entering, we were greeted by a younger gentlemen at the front. We took our time looking at the menu as it was our first time there. My husband ordered the pepperoni slice and I ordered the veggie calzone. Right after ordering, I asked my husband if we could eat at home and he said yes. This conversation happened right in front of the cashier and was loud and clear enough for him to hear as it was supposed to be since he never even asked us if we wanted to eat it there or to go. He was basically silent through the whole thing. After, we sat at one of the small tables and patiently waited. However, while waiting, we noticed a girl go to the back and began socializing with a different worker. After a few minutes she then disappeared into the back of the restaurant and we did not see her reappear again until right before we left(20 minutes or more). I’m not sure if she worked there or not but it was very apparent that she was not working that day as she was in a sundress and her hair was not in a net. The cashier brought the food out to us after about 15 minutes, but it was not boxed… he delivered it on a plate. Kind of disappointed at that, we decided to just eat it there at that point. My husband’s pizza was lukewarm, if that, and was no better than pizza from pizzahut. We would’ve gotten more for our money from pizzahut too. My calzone seemed to be freshly made. It was very hot to the touch and I had to let it sit a few minutes to cool. It did look really delicious and I was excited to try it. Unfortunately though, the calzone had no flavor what-so-ever. The marinara was not any better and it was cold. Sure there was salt available at the tables but I shouldn’t have to douse my food in salt just to acquire some type of flavor. Another thing, the corners of the calzone were all bread. And I’m not talking little corners here either, I’m talking at least four fingers length and width of just bread. This place lacked in customer service as it does in it’s food. Like I said before, pizzahut gives you more for your buck and at least the food is hot and tasteful.

Meh, the sauce was flavorless, the crust was limp in the middle and burned on the edges and the chicken tasted off. Wasn’t worth the 45 minute wait or the price tag. Plus, I ordered an extra topping that I didn’t notice was not on the pizza until I got home. I wanted to like this place, but I won’t be going back.

This review is only for this location. I like zPizza and the fact that they use organic ingredients, have non-GMO crusts, and nitrate-free pepperoni. As a whole, I give them 4 stars. But this location is hurtin’ in the customer service department, thus 1 star. We placed our order online for carry-out and specified that we needed a gluten free crust on one of the pizzas. After picking up the pizzas and driving home(12 mins away) we opened the boxes and discovered that we did not receive a pizza made w/GF crust, even though we were charged for it. My husband calls them and the girl at the counter says she saw on the order that we wanted one of the pizzas w/GF crust but she was«confused» so they didn’t make it that way. My husband asks if they can just deliver the correct pizza to us, since they’re the ones who messed up and she responds with«I don’t know… I have to ask the driver.» When he asks how long it will take she says 35 minutes. With two starving kids that just wasn’t going to cut it so my husband ended up going back and nothing was offered to us for their screw up. In fact, the girl we were dealing with was conveniently nowhere to be found. Never buying from this location again. And to the wise-ass user named No. S: I don’t know how you would infer from my review that we don’t «use our kitchen.» We cook our own meals six days a week, so the one day we purchase a meal cooked by someone else, the food/service better be good and worth the money. Who are you anyway? The jaded zPizza cashier or the owner?

Zpizza originated in Laguna Beach, California and has slowly but surely made its way into the San Diego area. I came by this location for lunch and order their two slice and a drink special for $ 7. For my slices, I had a traditional pepperoni and a Hawaiian slice with a unlimited ice tea. Both slices were quite good and came with the same thin yet chewy crust with very good flavor( ). The pepperoni slice came with an average amount of tasty pepperoni, a flavorful light red sauce, and fresh tasting mozzarella cheese( ). Although, I enjoyed the pepperoni slice, I really enjoyed the Hawaiian slice. It came with a very good amount of tender ham, I mean a lot of ham and sweet pineapple piece( ). I like that it was lightly sauced and well cheesed. It would be nice if they offered more varieties of slices for the two slice combo deal. They offer the said pepperoni and Hawaiian, and cheese and a vegetable option when I visited. A slice with sausage and mushrooms would be nice. Service was pretty good for the most part. Not a bad lunch deal…

I am sitting here starving at this very moment as I type. They had 4 slices left In their case. We ask if that’s all that is left. The unethusiastic and monotone girl at the register says yes. So we proceed with ordering all 4 slices since we don’t have any options. She starts to ring us up and then stops to say«Oh, there’s actually only 2 slices available.» Apparently, someone else had«reserved» 2 of the slices and this girl conveniently forgot. She offered us the remaining 2 slices when we asked for 4 as if that was the only option we now had. We ask if they plan on making more pizzas and it seemed like such an inconvenience to do so. She might as well have answered«I guess.» It is still prime dinner time on a Saturday evening. Not even 7 o’clock yet. Why wouldn’t you be making replacement pizzas to begin with? We then had to wait for an entirely new pizza to be created and baked in order to get 4 slices. Customers are still coming in. What did they plan to offer them when the case was empty? Both the girl at the register and the cook appear to be so inconvenienced to have to make another pizza for customers… at 6:45pm on a Saturday evening. Hmmm. If I was the manager or owner of this place I would imagine I would be pretty unhappy with my employees. Had they had more pizza my husband and I could have easily purchased more slices but apparently when the pizza is out, it’s out. Who knows, perhaps that is normal procedure to stop making new food hours before closing time. If so, I will make a mental note to never come back past 5pm apparently.

Just had delivery for the first/last time. Ordering online was easy, and delivery was reasonable. But price was ridiculous for a pizza essentially on par with Dominos. Large pepperoni for the kids was pathetic, with cheese essentially absent on 3 pieces… 2 pieces had exactly 1 piece of ‘meh’ flavor pepperoni. Flavor was minimal. The small Tuscan was decent but nothing memorable. Still hoping Napizza will start delivering in the 4S Ranch area soon… Then the search for great delivery pizza around here will be over.

Pizza was great! I love that I can do a half half order so I can get creative! I tried the mexican pizza and it was pretty good! Crust could have been a little crispier. Pecan and pear salad was delish! Huge portions. Fast delivery!

This was an okay experience — it’ll do when time is an issue. The pizza was good but not great; maybe it’s my memory, but the same pizza at the Scripps Ranch store tasted better. The dining atmosphere was adequate. The staff performed for the customers with smiles and all the right verbiage, but the staff at the Scripps Ranch store connected. I want this store to be better, but the Scripps Ranch store is worth the drive.

Dear Jared, The ZPizza you manage has the worst customer service message I have received in a very long time. Tsk, tsk! Mid-day, I ordered 3 pizzas, some of which were gluten free for my guests. I had a very specific order — cheese gluten free — because I was unsure of their food restrictions. PLAINCHEESEPIZZA on A GLUTENFREECRUST. Not too complicated, right? On pickup, the cheese was not gluten free, but the others were. When I asked for a remake/delivery, the manager was called. Jared decided that since I had ordered the pizza and their staff«read it back to me,» that I was wrong, and they would not fix their mistake. Zpizza is wholly responsible for its ability to take an order and make a pizza to the customer’s specifications. Businesses should not resort to using OPINION as a stance against a customer, and indignation has no place at a service counter, Jared.

Loving their gluten free pizza! It’s thin crust so it may be a little crispier than most may like but I am a thin crust fanatic Cashier was very knowledgable of what’s gluten free and what isn’t :) automatic great first impression!

I like Z Pizza’s menu but that is about it. I ordered the ZBQ chicken and a slice of pepperoni for lunch. The BBQ sauce on the pizza was bold and good for a base. My compliments will stop here because all the ingredients I tasted were of terrible quality. The BBQ pizza was edible but the pepperoni slice was not. Tomato sauce had no flavor and the pepperoni tasted dirty. I am deciphering whether I want to drive back Z Pizza and get a refund for my pepperoni.

Sooooo disappointed. Friday night is pizza night. I was so happy to find a pizza place with gluten free crust and organic tomato sauce. What sucks is waiting an hour and 10 mins for a pizza to be delivered, when they said it would be 45 mins. The pizza was cold, no luke warm, but cold! I called back to ask why they took so long and why it was cold… this was the response… «Yeah, it’s going to be cold after an hour and 10 mins. And the pizza bags don’t really keep the pizza warm» Seriously!!! OK, so I asked… Why did it take so long? «Well, cause, it’s takes a while to deliver pizza». Are you freakin kidding me??? She offered by a 10% discount off my order. She even said, «Well, I could send you new pizza, but it would just show up cold again» That was it for me. How can a pizza place that offers delivery not know how to deliver pizza HOT??? And then to not really care about the customer experience. Pretty obvious that this place isn’t looking for repeat business.

Z Pizza cherry finally POPPED !!! Parking lot is a hit or miss in this small shopping center. 5−530ish pm is a good time since it’s early dinner and you beat the crowd. The dining place is über small so you may not have a table to eat so ordering ‘to go’ is probably best. We were the first ones here so we got lucky. FYI: They also have the option of delivery and ordering online to save you some time as well. Looks like they have a efficient and organized system down. Menu: We munched on a ‘Mediterranean sampler’(greek olives, roasted peppers, cucumber slices, feta, hummus and whole wheat pita brushed with olive oil and salt) while we waited for our pizza. Love the healthier whole wheat option and my bro and I agreed it tasted great as a pita bread. Of course we finally got to trying the infamous ‘Berkeley Vegan’ pizza !!! Ingredients: marinara sauce, vegan cheese, veggie burger crumbles, zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, red onions, bell peppers Verdict: Yummooooo !! The whole wheat thin crust was nice, crisp, and piping hot just how I like it. Everything tasted FRESH and made to order, which is how it should be(especially when it comes to pizza). You also have the option to ‘build your own’ pizza. Get creative with it ! That’s always fun ! I might have to try that next time. They also have GF options. Super cool for those who suffer from celiac disease. KUDOS ! It’s not as cheap as other pizza joints, but for the quality of the ingredients and freshness, I found it reasonably priced and well worth it ! Customer service was friendly and quick ! This is my GO-TO spot close to home whenever I’m craving for PIZZA !
