I had an issue with one of the staff here a year ago, and I chose to write a bad review. This was despite the fact that they do serve the best damned $ 5.00 pizza that money can buy.
Zappy Pizza is a an affordable and convenient place to go for Pizza. I kinda consider myself as being hard to please when it comes to certain foods, pizza being one of them, and Zappy’s makes some tasty pizza. I am from the East Coast, and has certain ideas of what pizza shoud taste like, and though Zappy’s doesn’t meet those criteria, I do enjoy eating it. And as stated, it is only $ 5.00! That includes a topping.
So, the breakdown; $ 5.00 gets you a large pizza with an optional topping. It is quick, and it can feed your family. It tastes good.

I gave it two stars but I’m also a pretentious snob. In the $ 5 pizza category it’s one of the better ones I’ve had. I ordered on a Monday at 3pm and it was ready within 10 minutes. Fresh, solid but I’d still say Papa Johns, Dominos and Pizza Hut are better. They get 3 stars. And little Caesars gets 1. Cicis pizza… it’s not food

The pizza is great but the service was really poor. I was placing an order through the phone and was rushed because I simply ask for the total of the bill and I wanted to order one more thing then he just hung up on me. He was a very rude employee. I don’t wish for anyone to get fired but this guy sucks at his job.

Ordered a mexican pizza that the clerk suggested, first couple of bites taken, and it tasted horrible!!! Take note: Just because something looks good, doesn’t mean it taste good sometimes!

I LOVE this place! From the food to the employees– their service is amazing! My family and I order from Zappy’s a few times a month. Very affordable pizza and wings for the times you’re just not up for cooking (and/​or want something quick) but they do charge for extra ranch. They are friendly and will have your food hot and ready within minutes.

I come here very often and I always call in to avoid waiting. They have great prices and services. Highly recommendable for fast, cheap pizza! Their wings are alright. I’m not a fan of baked wings but I don’t mind!

Definitely the best $ 5 pizza I’ve ever come across. The cheese tastes fresh, the toppings are nothing to complain about, and the crust is good. What’s not to love?! They also have good cheesy bread sticks that you can add to an order. It is my go-​to whenever I’m thinking of a take-​out pizza. Is it as creative as, say, the pizza at Blind Lady? No, definitely not. But it is a good pizza that is consistently good and very affordable. It’s a total win on my list.
Pro tip: call your order ahead of time and your pizza will be ready when you get there (in about 15 minutes).

My go-​to pizza place. I always order two large pizzas, one chicken topping and the other Italian sausage and it’s less than 11 bucks. Never disappointed. Staff is courteous.

I have never had a bad experience at Zappy’s, I absolutely love it, especially the price. $ 5 for a large pizza (8 big slices) and 99 cents for breaksteaks or a 1.99 for cheese breaksticks (give or take a dollar). I’ve been going to this fantastic establishment since I was in high school when we could afford it with our own allowance. Calling ahead for pickup takes about 10 – 15 minutes which is actually around the time it takes if you just walk in, order and wait. You can buy drinks there, still pretty cheap, or just go next door to the 99 Cent Store and pick up 3 liters for a buck.
Their pizza is absolutely delicious. Love this place, I would recommend it to anybody. Their wings are good too!

This is my go-​to-​pizza place when I’m around the SDSU college area.
$ 5 1-​topping pizza and a dollar more each additional topping. Gets the job done when I get those pizza cravings.
The crust is really what makes this place really good. It’s just the right amount of chewiness and the cheese is the perfect amount. The add on deals (add bread sticks or some wings) after you order a large pizza are great as well.
I recommend that you call in your order then pick it up. It takes them 10 minutes from the time you call to finish making your pizza. So call, get dressed, drive, and grab your pizza.
I always sneak a slice before I head home in the parking lot. It’s that good.

So my brother was raging on about how his friend was talking about this place. Normally my brother hates pizza, he would never be like «hey lets go get pizza.» But that morning he was all for it. So of course I agreed and came along. Its in the area anyways. You pay for what you eat, and HECK YES I did. We ordered two pizzas and they were around 10 $ for both of them, and on top of that the pizza was delicious.
You know those tv commercials where someone grabs a slice of pizza and the cheese practically stretches out and it looks so appetizing, YEAH that happened.
Definitely going here again. Ohyeah you can also get 8 breadsticks for 99cents if you order a large pizza (: Yay for that.
