I just got ANOTHER great haircut from Wendy, so I think it’s time to Unilocal about it! She has cut my hair for about a year, helping me achieve «David Beckham faux hawk», «italian GQ», and most importantly «please salvage what I did to my hair». I always have a specific thing I want done with my hair when I go to get it cut, and to be absolutely clear I will also explain what I DON’T want done. I always feel like Wendy actually hears and understands what I’m talking about, unlike some previous experiences where, after nodding at everything I’ve said, the stylist has gone and hacked my hair into the exact hum-​drum look I was trying to avoid. Wendy has also been able to give great suggestions based on how we can work best with my own special cow-​licks and swirls.
The barber shop on the corner gives their customers a beer, but I will continue driving across town to Wendy.

Wendy is a great hair stylist because she listens to what you want. She does my color and cut just right! It’s so great having a hair stylist that has so much experience. I’ve heard so many great things about her from her other clients too (my friends.) Everyone is super satisfied and you can see from her other 13 reviews that she has many, many long term clients. I’ve been going to Wendy Ricker for nearly 10 years, and I completely trust her with my hair. She’s the first stylist that I’ve been to who knew how to cut and style my thick wavy hair, and she got me to stop straightening my hair (something that I used to waste nearly an hour on every other morning). She’s great about recommending flattering styles/​lengths, too, for the shape of your face. She’s also great with color – I constantly get compliments on my hair color, and it’s been a variety of colors/​shades over the years. I highly recommend her!

Wendy always does a fantastic job. She’s always given me the cut I ask for. And when I don’t feel like giving specifics (which is most of the time as a male), she has great style and instincts when given free rein. I’ve been going to her for several years and feel very fortunate. To boot, Wendy is a pleasure to talk with. Highly recommended!
