I ordered a wrap, burger w/fries and onion rings. The burger, fries and onion rings were really greasy. The thing that was really messed up was my wrap(again). I ordered a wrap on the 5th and today the 7th. Today’s wrap, the spinach wrap was stale, as in crumbling apart in my hands. I asked for no onions and yes on the sprouts and I got the opposite. The wrap that I ordered on the 5th was supposed to be on a spinach wrap but was on a whole wheat wrap. Also, there was no sprouts and(thank goodness) no onions. The avocados were hard as a rock! They said that they were going to throw in something extra because we had to wait longer for our order and there wasn’t anything«extra». All and all, I’m never going to order from here again. I’m very disappointed in this restaurant. Hope they change the«quality» in the food that they serve. Horrible, just horrible…

Disgusting! Took over an hour to get our delivery and once it got here it was cold and disgusting. The owner would only give us 20% off and we didn’t even eat 20% of the food. Everything was gross, cold and soggy.

So, after my last review they thoughtfully wrote me back offering a free sandwich to try again. I responded and they never responded back. Boo.

Where do I start? Ordered through my usual delivery site and we felt like sandwich’s for an easy dinner. To start, they have a $ 3 delivery fee. Put in our order for a Roma(ham, pepperoni, and hard salami), Pastrami, and a French dip. First mistake: Delivery is estimated at 45 – 60 minutes. Delivery took 90 minutes! I’d like to know how you can charge me for delivery when you can’t even get here on time. Strike 1… Next mistake: The au jus for the french dip was in a 16 oz drinking cup. How exactly is someone supposed to dip a sandwich into a drinking cup? Poor execution and salty. Less than satisfactory. Foul ball… Third mistake: Pastrami sandwich had nearly NO pastrami!!! And the pastrami it did have, was more grizzle and inedible than anything. The bread wasn’t toasted, as described, and seriously, is it possible to make a sandwich without having the mustard in a small sliver, as opposed to evenly spread on the sandwich. Strike 2… Fourth and final mistake: The Roma sandwich that was supposed to include ham, pepperoni, and hard salami, just had ham. I mean, you take forever to deliver, the food you deliver pretty much sucks, and you can’t even get the damn order correct. Strike 3… YOU’REOUT! tHE FOODWASBAD! THEDELIVERWASBAD! THEORDERWASWRONG! THEYDON’T ANSWERTHEIRPHONE! NEVERAGAIN… STAYFARAWAY The only saving grace is that eat 24 hours was understanding and helped to find out where my order was and when it would arrive. Additionally, they offered a bonus on the back end to help correct the issue.

THISPLACESUCKS! This is the 3rd and last time we’ll order from here. The first time was fairly uneventful other than taking forever to deliver. The 2nd time the guy who answered the phone(apparently the ONLY person who works there) was so beyond rude and difficult to understand it was ridiculous. They screwed the order up and take no responsibility for it. I asked to speak with a manager and of course there was not one. I called back 3x and the manager was never there. How convenient. This time was the worst. Not only did this a$$ hang up on me but he actually will fight with the customers. He needs to go back to Kimdergarten and start over. We ordered through living social delivery. On the menu there is a Greek salad listed twice. Once under salads and once under«Greek feasts.» The one in the salad category is like no greek salad I’ve ever had. It’s got spinach, mandatory chicken, etc. The 2nd salad just lists feta, tomatoes, etc as the ingredients. Completely different than the first one. When ordering this one you choose, regular, with gyro meat or with chicken(+$ 2). I chose regular thinking plain ol Greek salad. Well when it got here it was covered in critter meat(25 year vegetarian) so I was pissed. Called and spoke with Mr. Rude who just started yelling and arguing with me. I’m trying to explain that it’s on the menu twice, different stuff, etc. but he won’t shut his word hole long enough for me to talk. He says all the Greek salads come with chicken. Period. Really Mr. Mensa? Then why does it say ADDCHICKENFOR $ 2MORE? There’s also no description beside«regular» so I’d say most people would think as I did. Since the manager is not in again(shocker) I called living social. They credited me $ 10 and she acknowledged how the menu is not clear. I said I wanted to make a complaint since they do represent them on their delivery service. An acct manager is supposedly getting back to me. We’ll see. Living social is very standoffish with the restaurants they have in their service. They want you to work it out on your own. What’s the point of the service then? I’ll stick with with grub hub. They’ll kick some a$$ for ya when your order is screwed up. It’s obviously not the end of the world but the employee was such a prick for no reason. I’ll be going to jersey mikes when I want a sandwich next time. They’re better anyway!

Extremely Disappointed. We(the office) had ordered from Vila before and had a great meal, but this time was different. It took two hours(yes 2) for our lunch order to arrive. We had to contact them twice about the order. The first time(an hour after the order was placed) they said it was on the way, the second time(30 min later) they said«Opps» we were tracking a different order. When the order finally arrived, it was missing items, food was cold and we were only offered a $ 10 discount(which was the amount of the pre-paid tip). The delivery driver said they had a big catering order and were also moving stores and that the owner apologized. However, if they were not able to handle our order in a timely and quality manner, they should have not taken it. There were nine of us ordering food, so the impact of a bad order is great. As for the food, we do have to give props when something is good, the meatball sandwich and Pescado sandwich were excellent. The staff would highly recommend it. But, it went downhill from there: The three cheese quesadillas was missing the stated guacamole and was luke warm, so it was hard to tell the quality. The Philly cheese steak was mostly bread and very little meat. The Gyros sandwich and plates were just ok — not bad, but nothing to write home about. We think they gyros are preformed as they were way too uniform in shape and slice to be cut from the traditional rack. The Caprese salad was less than good, but not bad. The extreme disappointment was the old fashion hamburger(really). It was cold, missing condiments so it was dry and missing onions, the bun stuck to the burger so much that you could not pry it open. The French fries that came with it were disgusting as they were soggy, cold, greasy and all around yuck. Maybe a walk-in experience may be different, but we do not recommend take out.

My office ordered from this place for lunch. The food at best was mediocre. Out of the 9 people that ordered, only 1 person was happy with their food, another person stated it was ok nothing great but it wasn’t terrible. The other 7 of us we’re just glad it was edible. I ordered the Gyros plate. The gyro meat was ok, but some parts were soggy and cold. You could tell the lettuce in the salad was about to expire, brown welted leaves throughout the salad. The rice tasted like they just used yellow food coloring in regular white rice. The pita bread was the only enjoyable part. On top of not so great food, it took them two hours from the time we ordered to the time we received our order. The original quote time was 45 – 60 minutes. We called after an hour has passed. They said that the delivery person was on their way. As we approached the second hour we called again. They explained that they hadn’t been on their way, that was for another order. 10 minutes later we received a call from delivery person that they were on our way. They forgot items that were ordered. Needless to say I would never ever recommend this place to anyone unless they are desperate for something and have plenty of time to wait for their order.

This place is egregiously overrated. I was hungry and feeling really lazy to cook lunch. I saw this place on Unilocal a while back and wanted to try it out. I can’t believe I chose this place over getting Mexican food. The sandwich was overpriced. I bought the San Diego sandwich which is Turkey with bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo on multi-grain bread. I wanted the pastrami sandwich but they ran out of pastrami. The sandwich was something I could honestly make myself for a lot cheaper. I spent $ 6.32 on it. I wouldn’t have paid more than $ 4 for it. I’ve had the best pastrami deli sandwich in LA and I guess after having Langer’s Deli, nothing else is even remotely comparable. I will definitely not come here again.

This place is really, really, really good… but not fabulous. Everything that I’ve ever gotten from here(Breakfast sandwich, pastrami on rye, onion rings, burger, etc) has been really yummy and tasty, but not perfection. For the price I think it’s great! I will definitely be here again soon.

Ooooh I wanna give it 5 stars, just for the PHENOMENAL free delivery service! But honestly, the sandwich I had(Giovanni’s– roast beef, red onions, avocado, cream cheese) was just so-so. The cream of veggies soup was good, not watery like some have said, and delivery was fast and free! Love the variety on the menu, and the helpfulness of the staff– I was able to call back after ordering and add more to my meal, with no problem. Yay! AWESOME option for when you’re sick or lazing around at home, and want something other than pizza. Realistically though, I’ll probably only ever order for the delivery :)

So disgusting! Ordered the rueben sandwich and it seriously tasted like a dirty wet rag! Other than that the place looked gross! All the food condiments were out in the open where flys were EVERYWHERE! Seriously thinking about calling the health inspector. That place did not look sanitary at all!

I figured I would give this place a shot since I saw all of the great reviews on it. I wish I never did! When we walked inside to order our food, the condition of the interior was disgusting. It was cluttered inside with all kinds of junk. When I got my salad, it looked great, until I found five human, long hairs in it. The grilled chicken in the salad tasted like some other meat(almost as if it was cut with an unclean knife that had cut something else previously). Another person I went with also had hair in his sandwich. I saw the health board rating of «B» and thought to myself, of course. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It is probably the most unsanitary place I have ever been to.

wow, where do I start? I live down the street, so this afternoon I walked down to villa because I saw the awesome reviews they got on Unilocal(also i have the flu and was in desperate need of anything since its been almost 36 hours since ive last eaten). I was devastated that when i got there they were closed, and started on my trek back home. As I was almost to my door i decided to give them a call and see if they were going to be closed the rest of the evening, the owner answered on the first call and apollogized because he had been out on a delivery… oh and did i mention, FREEDELIVERY! this completely turned my afternoon around, i got the half egg salad sandwich and crème of broccoli soup. He got here within 25 minutes of me ordering, I gave him his $ 5.50(which is really cheap for soup and sandwich) then commensed to chow down. OMG the soup was hot, fresh and had pleannnnttyy of big broccoli flourettes. the sandwich is amazing as well, nice cool egg salad with a good ammount of lettuce and a nice big pickle of the side. when your sick the last thing you want is greasy gross processed food, which you wont find here. Villa, you have just gained a loyal customer =]

I came here about two-weeks ago because of the Unilocal reviews and was blown away by the customer service. Usually I would trade good service for great food and cheap prices. This place has all three which is rare. On my first visit I was overwhelmed by the extensive menu. One of the employees(I’m pretty sure it was the owner) was awesome about recommending sandwiches and gave me coupons(which he didn’t need to do since I was already going to spend my money there). I ordered two San Diego’s and stepped away from the counter. A minute later I came back up to ask for no mayo, but I saw that the sandwiches were already being made. The owner(I think) stopped sandwich production and switched out my bread for some without mayo. Big point score there! When I left he gave me a free muffin. I thought maybe all this great service was the result of my being a first time customer, but no. I came back in today(almost two-weeks later) and the owner recognized me and remembered that I don’t like mayo. He gave me a big greeting and asked me if I would like to sample his new mustard(which was delicious, by the way). The place is a tiny whole in the wall, but the treatment I received was spectacular. I should probably mention the food now. I have ordered the San Diego twice and it is GOOD. The bacon is super crispy, the avocado is absolutely fresh with not a trace of brown anywhere, and the sandwich was delightful. I will be going back many more times and can’t wait to try their other items.

Great change from your standard corporate sandwiches. Handcrafted goodness. I have yet to find one that I didn’t like. So far I’ve tried the meatball, pastrami, The Buenos Aires — Lean roast beef with melted provolone cheese and Argentinean spices on a French roll. Lately I’ve been craving bacon… Mmm Bacon… and tried the Super Club and the San Diego — Smoked Turkey, sharp cheddar cheese, bacon and avocado on multi grain bread. And my most recent find and new favorite, the BEgg(Bacon and Egg salad) They are all good, just depends on what you’re in the mood for. Im always afraid to get the ones with the chicken breast, cause i hate when they are overcooked and dry. but my friends assure me that they are not, maybe that will be my next venture. They are also open for breakfast which makes me want to give that a whirl too. Hours M — F, 7 — 7 Sat 9 — 4

Vila Deli, a small, neighborhood place near Mesa College, is owned and run by Alvaro, a Brazilian immigrant and a friendly and talented entrepreneur. The brunch and lunch menu is lengthy and varied, with specialty sandwiches, subs, and wraps based on U.S. regional as well as international recipes. I could eat there every day! The ingredients are high-quality and fresh – and there is free local delivery, My favorite sandwiches are the«San Diego»(turkey, cheese, bacon, avocado, veggies) and the chicken philly(chicken breast, provolone, bell peppper, s onions, mushrooms on a fresh roll). Also the«Rio,» a steak-lover’s sandwich. The Angus burgers are terrific, too. And there are all sorts of vegetarian possibilities. Friendly people. Great food. Great prices. Most of the business is take-out or delivery, but there is a pleasant patio for dining on site.

If you read what I wrote below, you will understand why I am so disappointed. This place used to be awesome. I am not sure that happened but the food is no longer tasty, their hours have changed, and I am altogether no longer ordering from them. It is too bad. I really used to count on the quality, but after several food disasters, I am done with second chances. They get the two stars because they still deliver for free. This place is fantastic! My office mates and I have been ordering from them for a couple years now. Considering the volume of food we have delivered, their success ratio is very high… There have only been a couple of mistakes, and their delivery people are friendly. What’s good? Everything I have ever tried. My favorite has got to be the Rio, a delicious filet mignon sandwich with grilled onions and cheese for cheap(I think it’s about 6 bucks) The Bombay Curried Chicken Sandwich is a piece of heaven you can have two days in a row its so big. The onion rings are tasty, as are their fries(lots of crunchy ones) And they have breakfast too, though I have never tried it. Best thing??? No minimum delivery and no charge for delivery.
