I am amazed that there are not more reviews for this photographer. I hired Jackie to take some head shots of me for my business and I was very pleased with her work. I just wish I had found her before my wedding. If you look at her portfolio you can see how wonderful her work is. Highly recommend.

After an exhaustive search for a photographer for our engagement photos, we found Jackie of VanHatten Photography. Jackie’s photos are beautiful and personal, and looking through her portfolio I felt as though I knew each of the subjects; Jackie has a gift for capturing the personality and essence of her subjects.
Though Jackie is based out of southern California, she worked with us to make arrangements for a session in northern California. She had a number of ideas and suggestions, and touched base with us frequently leading up to our session. Our actual session was comfortable and fun, and Jackie had fantastic strategies for getting candid photos. She also had an eye for how to include the lovely setting and the fall colors all around us. She turned around our photos quickly– and we simply love them. Jackie captured not only the beauty of the location, she also captured our personalities.
Jackie is professional and personable. She excels in communication, follow-​up, and collaboration. She is a pleasure to work with, and delivers beautiful, personal photos at a very reasonable price and in a timely manner.
