Good late night spot, given they are open 24 hours and they make a pretty good breakfast burrito to boot. I had the cook make me a scrambled egg, ham, cheese, and with bit of pico de gallo for a about $ 4.25. The burrito was well wrapped in a buttery flour very warm flour tortilla. The eggs were plentiful and well seasoned. I liked that they were fluffy, light, and spread evenly throughout the burrito. The ham was chopped into easy to pieces and savory. They put plenty of cheese in the burrito and a light amount of pico de gallo, just the way I like it. It was a very good breakfast burrito and worth the $ 4.25. It hit the spot. The place is very small and host mostly drive thru patrons. There are limited seats inside and a few more outside. The girl at the register was totally cool and had a just the right sense of humor, for working a place like this in PB in tween hours of the night.

This is in a side corner at an un assuming busy street. You might miss it if you dont look for it. Not the best food in the world, but we were super hungry and given the choices of fast food places around this area, this place was perfect. Cheap and greasy! they were nice people too!

What’s not to love about a teeny tiny taco shop? I had the carnitas and carne asada tacos with beans and rice. Both tacos were huge! Lots of juicy, tender and flavorful meat! I would say that the carnitas were slightly better than the carne asada, but it was pretty close. They both came topped with pico and guac(not extra!). The beans were creamy and savory, so most likely they are made with lard, but I’m pretty sure that’s what makes them good. Rice was ok. For $ 11, I got a very satisfying meal and had extras for my fourth meal!

This little 24 hour hot spot is quick food and super yum! The staff was very helpful and answered all of my inquisitive questions with a smile. The food was hot and brought to our tablet within minutes of ordering. The portions were huge, we left with dinner for the next day! I highly recommend this place. It has an outdoor seating area with wood tables and a drive through. Enjoy!

Surprising good food considering the who shop is about the size of my kitchen. The chicken tacos were great and the steak was good as well. We ordered some of everything and shared it amongst our group but for not being a local I think I would come back here next time we are in town.

Came here when I first moved to Pacific Beach. Went there around 2am one night, they were really busy and service was slow. Even though I had a few drinks in me I could tell how utterly terrible everything was. The burrito I had was super greasy, heavy on fat, and all the ingredients tasted like they’d been sitting out all day. Every newcomer I meet in PB I warn about this place. I strongly advise against going here.

Classic joint for late night food, food is always solid. Not crazy over the top good, but it’s good Mexican food for any occasion.

Get the carnitas burrito! Best in PB! Seriously I’m addicted! You get a lb of pork for six bucks! Plus their red sauce!

Came here the morning after I was very intoxicated and a breakfast burrito is all I wanted. I would say I enjoyed my breakfast burrito with sausage. Came out very fast and very hot but I felt it was mixing hash browns. I didn’t ask if it had any in it but I definitely will next time.

We have been coming here forever — well before the name change. When an actual cook is working, its awesome. Sometimes, its not even edible. If you cannot manage to put out a burrito without a completely burned tortilla… ugh. In short: its a crapshoot. We’d come here a lot more if it wasn’t.

Used to be decent when it was Roberto’s. Now, prices are higher and food quality is poorer. Not worth your time when there are plenty of other taco shops in the area. Oh, and be prepared for gastric distress. I was a recent victim as was another friend on a different visit. RIP, Valerie’s.

This review is to the owner. When you order machaca and the cashier tells you they can’t do it because the cook doesn’t want to is probably the best time to rethink your staff. Lost a customer and send me straight to Rigobertos taco shop. They may be further but at least the staff won’t turn me away because they are too lazy to cook machaca. Gets one star because I had to give a star. Thank you Rigobertos down the street on garnet, the staff there is incredible & fast!

This place is right down the road from me. It is my go to spot for cheap, fast, decent mexican food. The combination plates are a good deal, but the meats can be a little greasy. I really like the red salsa that comes with their food. Open 24 hours which is great.

I order 2 carne asada tacos and they charge me $ 1 more than what was advertised on the menu. I ask them to charge the advertised price, the cashier talks to the cook in the back and says«there’s a sign up on the fridge» then he looks and says«of, it must have fallen off, I’m new here so I don’t know» so I call the number written on the fridge and report what happened and the guys is like«prices r subject to change, it says that on the outside menu». And what do ya know!?! It does! Here’s a bunch of schisters trying to run a mediocre taco shop. The food did the trick, but if ur gonna be a new taco shop, try to have better food than ur competition first of all and not scam ur customers secondly. I’ve had the carne asada at Ortiz’s and cotixan and it is phenomenal. This places carne asada was just OK. Their red sauce was just OK. At least if ur gonna get scammed by some shifty businessmen, they should have a better product, but NO, they get u there too. Only reason I went here is that it was closer, but I won’t make that mistake again. It’s not worth trying this place. Anywhere else would be better. Don’t support sub-par businesses and quality.

This place is really good after a day at the beach. The service and food is really good. Their California burrito with guac is to die for. I definitely plan on returning and you should definitely try it!

They used to sell Mexican food. Now they have watered down salsa and put half the meat in the tacos and burritos. You get more authentic Mexican food at taco bell.

I love this place. Best cheese enchiladas in town. They started going down hill when they hired the short old lady a few months ago. She charges me a dollar more and the enchiladas are half assed and barely have sauce. Ill upload my receipts to show the $ 1 ghetto tax
