I ordered a blended caramel. The drink wasn’t blended it was just the liquid. It’s like they didn’t even add ice to blend the drink. There were a couple small crushed ice cubes at the top of the drink. Maybe they were low on ice??? It’s not a blended drink… I should have just ordered an iced drink… At least there would be ice in that drink.

Worst service ever! I waited 20 minutes for a Tuna Sandwich on wheat… couldn’t be any more basic. Oh and I ended up canceling it since they still didn’t get it right.

At the Marriott for a meeting and found this little place next door tucked way in the back. Was pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken club one day and the Tuscan with chicken the next. Both were Wonderful and fresh. Was in and out pretty quick.

The food is always good quality, and the service is fast and friendly, although they seem to be understaffed. It gets a bit hectic around 9 – 10 and 12 – 1 for breakfast and lunch, so don’t be surprised if it takes a bit. They also deliver, so sometimes there’s only one person on staff to take orders, answer the phone, AND cook the food. My favorite sandwich is their BLAT, always delicious and never disappoints! Will is awesome, and if you are a regular, chances are he knows you by name :)

I have to agree with all of the previous reviews. Service is horrible. My coworkers and I ordered lunch here on delivery. We placed two separate orders within minutes of each other assuming the food would all get here together. An hour and a half later, 45 min past the delivery time, only my sandwich arrives. When we asked what happened the driver said it took him 20 min to park even though we have a wide open lot with visitor spots available. Subsequently a call was attempted to check on the status of the rest of the food and no one answered the phone. Needless to say those orders were cancelled. First and last time I order from here. Trust me, save yourself the frustration and order elsewhere.

NEVERAGAIN. I placed an online order at 11:45 for delivery at 12:00. Ok, maybe that’s cutting it close and i would understand being a tad late. An hour and ten minutes later we called and were told our food was almost ready and was going to be on its way. This is for a salad, 2 sandwiches and a cup of chili. Really? We waited for 2HOURS and were still missing part of our order!!! The driver had the nerve to tell us that we gave him the wrong address and that our building is actually on the adjacent street. He actually argued with us about the address lol! Excuse me, but I think I know my address. Thank you. As for the food. Mediocre at best. Certainly not worth the 2 hour wait, with no apology and nothing but attitude because he got lost. Sorry you cant find your way around buddy. I’ll never add the tip to the payment online again. He didn’t deserve my 15%.

1 star for being polite. Good in a pinch if you need a drink or chips. Otherwise avoid it if you can. Going on a 45 minute wait so far for my tuna sandwich to go. I know there’s a lunch rush, but it wasn’t that bad and I’m guessing that right when people come in isn’t a good time for 1 of the 2 people there to take a break. The owners now took over from some other folks who actually knew what they were doing. The isn’t that great but when you need food ya need it. I’ll plan my lunches better from Now on.

I like this place for office deli sandwiches. They were always on time when I ordered a delivery to my work. There was no service charge either but we always tipped. The club sandwich on marble rye bread is good. I always add avo, mayo and regular mustard. I just didn’t like it as much because the avocado is $ 2 something extra and the bread was toasted too much. So by the time I ate it, it was too hard and cardboardy.

Waited over an hour and a half for breakfast! I placed my order at 9:30 in the morning, and at 11:15 am still no breakfast. When I call to inquire about my order, the woman tells me I was quoted to have my breakfast between 10 – 10:30(which I do not agrue). But when I asked her why it hadn’t been delivered by that window of time, she gives me attitude and claims«there’s a lot of traffic». Seriously, I work down the street… how much traffic could there be!!! Plus a simple call to notify me would have been sufficient. Then I tell her to cancel my order and she just hangs up on me. I was ordering lunch from this place at least twice per week, but it seems as though they have changed management. With this change, they have taken customer service, timelyness, and qualify food out the door! I’m never ordering from this place again!!! Buyer beware!!!

Seriously! the delivery time is sooooo not reliable. I understand that they get busy at lunch time but come on. I ordered and it was set to be delivered between 12:30 — 1:00pm and i called them at 1:20pm and the lady said its still being made. WHATTHEHECK!!! It will be nice if they will call me to let me know it will be late.

I work in the same building as this deli, so when i’m alone in the office on a long day, it’s my go-to lunch. this is not fine dining by any means, but the food is decent and reasonably priced. i order here for convenience, not necessarily the best food in the world. they deliver for free on orders over $ 5.01, have online ordering, a points system, and their system has recall on previous orders – which is nice for a creature of habit like me. I’ve tried quite a few things on the menu, and continue to go back. I’ve had their caesar salad wrap, turkey sandwiches, coffees, grilled cheese, and a daily special or two. I’d recommend going somewhere else for your coffee if you have the time.

Yeah, I hate to say it but this place has really gone downhill. They used to be at least somewhat reliable in the time estimated to receive your order, but every time I’ve ordered in the past few months it’s been at least an hour late. And although it’s not the end of the world, every time I’ve ordered Baked Lays with my meal I’ve gotten regular Lays. Also I think they took away the points system. =( Not gonna lie, I probably won’t order from them again unless I’m desperate and I don’t have another choice. And even then…

Ever since they changed management, the prices seem to be much higher and customer service has gone downhill. Yesterday, I ordered a small yogurt parfait and soup. I ordered at about 12:30pm, I was supposed to get my order by 1pm but it didn’t get here until about 1:20pm. My parfait was warm and the soup wasn’t hot. The extra $ 1.50 for delivery charge if your order doesn’t equal to $ 5.00 is absurd. Also, one time I ordered a sandwich, asked for the bread to be lightly toasted, but I got burnt toast, they probably thought that I wouldn’t know since the bread was wheat squaw. Also, I don’t think my favorite delivery guy(Jose) doesn’t work here anymore. The new delivery people aren’t as friendly as he was. I used to frequent this place, but I don’t think I will anymore.

Being hungry and not able to run out to grab lunch, I decided to give them another shot. Of course, I’m disappointed and should have done something else. The order is now over an hour late. I called in and the person that answered the phone could have cared less. This happened to another coworker last week. Still need to avoid this place!

This place is atrocious and this is coming from a person that supported this place. I placed an order at approximately 12:45PM through their online portal. At about 2PM I called to inquire about the status of my order. It took 5 attempts to call the place before I was able to get a hold of someone without them hanging up. Come to find out after being put on hold for 15 minutes without the fine gentleman, at the very least notifying me that I will be put on hold that my order was not even printed or brought to the cook’s attention. After much indolence, they vowed to deliver my food in 15 minutes. It took another 30 minutes. My faith in humanity went down a little. Received my order at 3PM. Chicken club, soda and a bag of chips. The soda was flat and warm(no ice). The chicken club was totally wrong from what I ordered and the meat they used was TYSONCHICKENPATTIES. Pre-cooked meat at absurd prices! The quality and consistency of this place has gone downhill ever since the new ownership took place. The only order that was right was the bag of chips. Long story short, save your money and stay away from this place. I hate you Urban Fresh Deli, you are second only to killer clowns in things I despise the most.

I read the reviews and decided to give the Urban Deli a shot. It was quite yum after my first trip. Finding the building was not too hard for me. It’s in the business complex south of the marriott hotel(you can see the 8885 on the building). Once you enter, go downstairs and walk west(past the bathroom) to the end and you will see the deli. I went with the Chicken Club and enjoyed it. I will come back to try some of the other menu items as well. There is seating inside if you want to eat there.

Ah! This place is located in a labyrinth. Had a hard time finding this little joint in an office building near the Mission Valley Marriott, but eventually I stumbled upon it in a basement-like area of the open air building. I got my salad super fast, in less than a minute, so that was a plus in my book. But the ginormous Baja salad turned out to be only ok. Maybe the sandwiches are better? Either way, probably won’t make it here again just because the location is so dang annoying.

Insanely. difficult. to. find. Completely tucked away into the farthest corner of this business complex, so if it’s your first visit and you’re planning to just«stop in» and pick up some food, better give yourself a good 20 minutes to find it. 4 stars for their regular sandwiches/salads, 3 for their breakfast sandwiches, and I’m a little disappointed they raised their prices, so it all comes out to a solid 3.5 for these guys. The breakfast sandwich I’ve had most recently, so this review is more biased toward that. For 4 dollars, you get a breakfast sandwich about the size of one of those Jack in the Box supreme breakfast croissant sandwiches(which, oddly enough, I really enjoy). It definitely tastes way better and way more fresh than your Subway«breakfast melt» or the breakfast muffin that costs you 2 arms and 2 legs at Starbucks, but I can’t say I was as impressed as I was hoping to be. That being said, it is a good option for breakfast/lunch in the Mission Valley area, so I will be back! Especially now that I have the supreme knowledge of where it is in that labryinth of a building.

I would have given a 4 if I hadn’t found a bug in the egg salad sandwich. It was hanging out between some lettuce. But besides that, the order placing was easy and everyone liked their sandwiches. The chicken noodle soup was okay, but it tasted like canned soup. When I called to explain about the bug, they kind of just laughed it off and seemed unapologetic. Oh well.

«Convenience» is what comes to mind when Urban Fresh Deli is the subject! You don’t have to see or speak to anyone. It’s so easy to order online, their interface is quite user-friendly, plus you earn discounts for every order which you can use towards the next. This is huge since they’re VERY reasonably priced($ 5-$ 7 per sandwich). They’ll deliver anything; even just a single sandwich! Don’t forget to add tip to your total at check-out. I forgot to do that once and was mortified when I didn’t even have a dollar’s worth of cash on me. The roast beef sandwich is pretty tasty, although I wouldn’t recommend their croissants(not really croissants if you asked me), they’re neither flaky nor buttery. My favorite is the BLAT(bacon, lettuce, avocado, & tomato) on sourdough. It comes with the perfect amount of bacon and lots of avocado. Co-workers have raved about their spinach salad, but I’ve never had it myself. I’m always rushing to get to work and never give myself enough time to pack lunch. They’ve definitely saved me from countless bouts of the«grumbling stomach.»
