I called for a move out clean, short notice so that’s on me. They were able to accommodate with 2 days notice. The call center lady although nice, I had to repeat myself over and over. I wouldn’t knock them on that but here is where they lost points with me: 1. When I scheduled I was told I would have 4 people and the job would take about an hour and 55 minutes. On the day, only 3 showed up because apparently one was sick. Upon reading the reviews though, it seems that this occurs quite often. 2. They showed up 45 minutes late. They were scheduled for 10am but the supervisor called me at 9am and told me they would be there at 10:15am instead. I showed up at the house to let them in at 10:15am, they didn’t show up until 10:57am. I didn’t receive not one follow-up call to inform me that they would be even later than the 10:15 time I was told. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been annoyed if they showed up at 10:30 but 10:57!!! 3. When the supervisor called me after they were done he told me they had to charge me an extra $ 50 because it took a little longer(isn’t that why I should’ve had 4? At this point I’m skeptical about the fourth one being“sick”) and some of the floorboards needed to be scrubbed a little more. A little annoyed but if that was the case. ok whatever. 3a. During this call, the supervisor also mentioned that the crew felt displaced(sounded like annoyed) that my carpet cleaners showed up while they were there… Ummmmm…if the cleaning crew wasn’t 45 minutes LATE they wouldn’t have had any interference from the carpet cleaners. The carpet cleaners(Riester’s Carpet-Carlsbad), who by the way, were right on time! I had scheduled a half hour to hour buffer between the cleaning crew and carpet cleaners. 4. When I told the supervisory how late the crew was. did I get an apology? No. Was there any sympathy? No. Was I offered a discount of any sort or compensation for wasting 45 minutes of my time? No. I’m not able to give 3.5 stars so I have to give them a 3. It really is a shame because they did an outstanding job on the house. However, this isn’t just about how well the job was done but the experience the customer has as well. Good cleaning job, not so great customer service. ***FYI– this location serves North County San Diego — the main number is 858−452−3500, which will point you to the address listed. I accidentally left a review for another The Maids location which was NOT the group I used.
