Tasty Pizza

I love the pizza here. Ive been coming here for years. Never disappointing, clean establishment, and the staff are so friendly! I wish I could give this place more stars.

I love this place specifically this Broadway location (the others are NO comparison!). Anytime you favorite a place on Unilocal you know its a good thing. 1^st let’s remember it’s 5 bucks for a pizza! That being typed… it’ a fresh decent size. The pepperoni is well flavored. My kid likes the ranch with a side of wings, but the wings aren’t for me. They only charge 50cents to use your card to pay which is way more reasonable than others. I wait like 10 minutes and calling in is never a problem even on holidays. It is the perfect fast fix it’s supposed to be and it is indeed TASTY!

Excellent pizza for the right price! Staff is very friendly and accommodating especially to military members. Perfect place if you are looking at ordering a lot of pizza for a work or social function. I highly recommend them. Try them out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Best $ 5 pizza in town, tasty for sure. I am here at least once a week. The pizza is always consistent and cooked to perfection, great customer service. It’s 10 times better than little Caesars and other pizza places that advertise at this price. I highly recommend this place.

Food: if you looking for good, there’s better places even a few blocks down, but for good enough, can’t really critique their $ 5 pizza. Essentially, it’s someone else making your delissio (sp).
Service: they’re all pretty great there and are pretty spot on about their estimated time. Just know they charge for everything… sauce, debit, credit… but I mean. $ 5 pizza.
Location: easy parking and to find.
Recommended: skip the wings but the pizzas fine.

Alright. Real talk, this pizza place is one of those rare things you find and can’t really get over.
I’m going to base this review off of the price, taste, and quality of the pizza at Tasty Pizza.
Price. ¹⁰⁄₁₀
When I think about the $ 5 price point, it feels like the 90’s, where gas is $ 0.99/gallon, and kids have Gameboys instead of iPhones. I’m constantly on the search for relatively low priced foods (I’ve been spotted at Costco twice this week), so anytime I can get a nice meal for less than $ 7 is a good deal to me. So, at $ 5 for a 1 topping large pizza that can last me 2 meals, you bet it my stomach and my wallet smile.
Taste. ⁸⁄₁₀
Pizza is one of those foods that is difficult to mess up. When was the last time you said, «this pizza sucks?» Even when pizza is bordering mediocre, we tend to say it’s satisfying. The pizza at Tasty Pizza, however, is actually pretty good! It’s not crazy delicious, but it more than gets the job done. I typically get a simple pineapple pizza, and, like most places, they make a delicious pineapple pizza. Nothing to lose your mind over, but it certainly beats Little Caesar’s.
Quality. ⁸⁄₁₀
Not much to say here, but the cheese is typically gooey. The sauce is adequate. The toppings are fair, but I tend to ask for extra pineapple on my pizza. It takes just 10 minutes for a large pizza to get done, but the short time doesn’t translate to a shortness on quality.
In short, if you’re a college student or a recent grad that’s still making chump change, then Tasty Pizza will be your go-​to when you have friends over, when you want pizza, or when you’re just hungry and don’t want to spend a lot of money.

I went to this place when I moved to the area to try it out and it tasted like STYROFOAM. Dissapointing!!! Go to Luigi’s up the street. $ 5 for a full size pie of plastic, no taste, cheap ingredients or 2 slices of quality at Luigi’s.

Like most of the reviews here point out, this place is a good choice for getting pizza on the cheap. For $ 5 you get a decent sized pizza that in my opinion is a step above other $ 5 pizza places. You won’t mistake this place for an upscale pizza joint, but sometimes a cheap, greasy pizza with the standard toppings just hits the spot. They also have wings, garlic bread, cheesy bread, and sodas.

This place has the best $ 5 pizza I’ve ever tasted. If you are in the mood for cheap pizza, skip Little Caesar’s and go here instead.

Cheap 5 dollar pizza that is actually not bad at all. Want to have a much better slice than go to Luigis down the street. 2 slices and a coke for 5.50. But honestly if your picking up a few pizzas for a party or tailgate this is the way to go.

This place has the best pizza out there!!!:D I’ve tried Pizza Hut, dominos, Bella’s and little Caesars but they’re either too greasy, have too much tomato sauce or just taste really weird but Tasty’s pizza is perfect, their prices are cheap and they make it fast, I highly recommend! 2 thumbs up!

It’s good cheap pizza. I don’t know what kind of 5 star dining these people were expecting at a super cheap pizza place in Golden Hills. And I’m not sure why you’d rate it less than 5 stars? It’s $ 5 pizzas! It doesn’t taste processed or «cheap,» per-​se, like other hot and readys.
It’s usually made to order or I guess they’ve always been out when I arrived. Just give them a call in advance otherwise it’s still quick and should be about 10 minutes. The workers are pretty cool. Don’t be a dick and tip them well and you’ll get your pizza quite fast!

No joke for $ 5 this place is awesome! Not at all what I expected!!! My recommendation is to eat it while it’s hot! It loses some flavor if it gets warm

I’ll start this review off with a little Q&A.

A: At $ 5.00 for a 14″ single topping pie, you’re hard pressed to find a better deal.
Okay, if you’re a pizza fanatic, this is not the place for you. Similar to how fast food chains have created their own versions of food, that’s kind of what Tasty Pizza has done making it unfair to compare it to its next level competition. I mean, would I ever compare a Big Mac to a Hodad’s burger? No way! Yeah, they’re both technically «hamburgers,» but they both serve a completely different purpose in this world. Same thing with a taco from Taco Bell. It’s nowhere near what you’ll get at your favorite local taco shop, but they’re both still «tacos.» You get my drift?
So in the world of bargain pizzas, Tasty Pizza holds its own. Service is quick, the product is dependable and I am beyond surprised that there is not a line of stoners wrapped around the block. No pesto, sun dried tomatoes or any ingredient remotely fancy pants found here, though they do advertise a «Mexican» pizza with chorizo, onions and the kitchen sink for $ 8.00… maybe if I’m drunk enough!

Don’t judge me on the stars. It’s good enough pizza for those «Hey hunny I got Pizza for Dinner» pizza (because I forgot to cook lol.) It’s cheap in prize, «Ready in 7 minutes», and a-​ok.

Great for a $ 5 pizza. Better than the leading chain competitors for $ 5. Quick, friendly, and delicious. My favorite is the bacon pizza. I usually call ahead from home and it’s ready by the time I get here.

Awesome $ 5 pizza. My husband and I moved in down the street and we heard about this little place from a neighbor.
On our broke student income, we decided to try it and got wings, garlic bread, soda, and a large pizza for about $ 12. Super stoked on the deal and much tastier than we expected. Greasy, yummy, cheap, and fast.

Fast and cheap! I love that I can get a 1 topping pizza for 5 dollars and their cheesy bread is amazing for just a few extra dollars and marinara sauce is included. The chorizo pizza here is also delicious, but only order it if you are really interested in spicy food. A great place for eating on a budget, there isn’t anywhere to sit… so definitely make it to-​go.

OK so this might seem like your average whole in the wall junk food pizza place, but let me tell you, That is exactly what it is. This pizza is running neck and neck for quality with little ceasar’s. But the thing that sets it aside from them is that you get a pizza in about 10 mines with any one topping they have in stock. I always go with the bacon pizza and it always seems to get the job done.
The people that work there have always been really freindly, and that makes the experience all an all a good junk food pizza experience. It would be nice if i spoke some spanish so i could comunicate with the people behind the counter but despite the language barrier they have yet to mess up and order… PLus then have a big order of garlic bread you can get for $ 1 go check them out !
