I consider Pizzeria Luigi a good authentic Italian pizza place since the owner is originally from Italy, according to Diners Drive-In’s and Dives. Their pizza has thin crust and is very delicious especially when it’s just coming out fresh from the oven. I surely can’t compare their pizza to Pizza Hut or any other pizza chains, because they’re completely different just like comparing IN-N-OUT to McDonald’s. Anyway, it is CASHONLY. I wish they would accept credit cards in the future remembering that their place is kinda popular and how long they’ve been in business. They have so MANYSELECTIONS everyday, but what is available today might not be made tomorrow. So, if you crave for 1 specific kind, perhaps it’s better to call first to ask if they make it or not that day. They even have some that are not on the menu, but the staffs definitely can inform and advise you what every piece is. My favorite pieces are Crime Scene and Spinach Ricotta. They sell pizza by slices too; it’s usually around $ 2.75 if I’m not mistaken. They do accept half and half order, and thus, you don’t have to order the whole pie under the same kind. I have tried their lasagna as well, and it’s good too. For lasagna, if you intend to dine in, it’s best to call and place your order because it takes 20 – 25 mins to have it ready. Another issue is probably the parking where you have to back-in. I’m just not used to this method since it’s not too common. Yet, if you don’t find a spot in the front of the place, there is ample space of street parking on B st.

We went here after having seen it aired on Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives. The pizza was really good. The staff were friendly. We aren’t from the area and decided to be touristy and take public transit and walk some of the way… Wish I had an emoji right now! We walked from Seaport Village area to Market St. to hop on the trolly, then jump on a bus, then finally arrive by walking! Lol. It was a journey. The neighborhood itself seemed ok, although we didn’t like having to get money from the ATM across the street.(If I remember right, it was cash only?) When we left, we decided to walk more than use transit when we’d come. We walked along Broadway to go back and there are A LOT of homeless people. It is near the downtown area and there are tons of them. Not once along our travel there or back did anyone bother us. I’m sure the experience would have been much different had we driven, but you can’t help but notice more stuff when you walk. What really matters, is the food was good and we would defiantly go back when we’re in the area!

First thing I noticed was the reverse parking in front of the restaurant«back-in-head-out parking» as other people call it. I get the idea of this style of parking. By passing the spot, you’ll know if it is clear and safe to back-in, it also ensures the ease and safety of leaving without backing-out to unknown traffic. ALL their pizzas are delicious(I bought one slice of each kind) affordable? yes! I recommend the Capone(Pepperoni, Sausage and Meatball) Crime Scene(Ricotta, Meatball, Red Sauce) and Donatello(Ricotta, Parmesan, Garlic, mushrooms) they also make custom pies, salad, calzone, pasta dishes, subs and serve fountain drinks and alcohol. This Restaurant was featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. There are lots of seating available both inside and outside, but it still gets really packed specially on the weekends. One thing I don’t like about this restaurant are the flimsy paper plates they use for dine-in orders, so if you have small palms… ask for a tray.
