Not impressed! Poor selection. No buche, tripas. Had to go to tacos el gordo to feed my craving.

Omg! This place needs mega-improvement! I’m not gonna lie, tacos are good BUT worst service ever! They NEVER have radishes, jalapeños, grilled onions(like tacos el gordo) and they’re customer service is just plain AWFUL! Their drive wait is horrible, last time I went I waited about 20 minutes for 6 tacos. Inside the wait time is worse. It’s such a shame because their tacos have great flavor & they started out good BUT ever since they came out on t.v. naming them the best tacos, they’re service went LITERALLYSOUTH! SHAMESHAMESHAME

Carne asada tacos here are as good as tacos el gordo. Service was better and prices are cheaper. Clean place and fairly good parking. This was my first time and won’t be my last. No line is awesome and food was brought to our table. Family’s with kids please be careful of busy street. Restaurants doors stay open and your kids can easily walk out.

I’ve never ordered at the drive thru window here. I thought you order at the menu sign like a regular drive thru, but they don’t have a speaker there. You actually drive up to the drive thru window and they take your order. I ordered 4 adobado and 4 carne asada tacos. Was craving this place because my bestie just texted me about a couple weeks before. Thanks a lot for instigating that craving. Good thing we were at Las Americas, because I got to satisfy my craving. Their adobado is one of the best I’ve had this side of the border, I have to say that I do like Tacos El Gordo’s better, but this is a very close second. I always laugh because everyone thinks I’m Mexican, even my own people think I am. So of course they speak to me in Spanish through the window. They always look confused when I don’t answer right away and then answer in English. Good thing is that I can understand basic conversational Spanish, just takes a minute to translate in my head. They had to send another girl to the window to speak to me in English, bwuahahaha.

Overall pretty good legit tacos, I wouldn’t say exactly as in Mexico, but close. Ordered 2 tacos asada and 2 birria. Good service, good food, really close to the border as well. Would return if in the area and not crossing over

Well we went there to try the tacos and see what happen My self been a Restaurant & Retail Consultant. Big fan of great service and food taste this is a couple a points that I will love to add Service was ok not as impressive for a business that is investing money in tv Food I did try carnitas, pollo adobado, and carne Asada and the pollo Asado was cold for portion and price is way better then others the carnitas it was a big chunk of meat only the asada taco was great the only thing that saves the tacos is the tortilla for a business that is investing in TV and bragging about their food The atmosphere and building is poor the out side needs more light the front signage is off or has no light inside the have a broken chair that no one can seat the salsa bar could have a better options and lights salsas are great in taste but could use a better distribution in the salsa bar Overall is a ok business fair price not the best quality of food and could use a big help with service and building upgrades Thanks

This place it is good to satisfy your street taco craving without driving the extra mile to Tijuana(TJ) or standing in line at Tacos el Gordo. It is located close to the 805 off/on ramps so you don’t have to fight the crazy traffic that sometimes happens in San Ysidro and they have plenty of parking. It is also a short drive from Las Americas outlets. I love eating TJ street tacos so I introduced my husband to this place. We have been here twice and have tried the birriea, carne asada, carnitas, and pollo asado. They are all good the carnitas are a little on the dry side but still good. My husband’s favorite is the pollo asado I like the carne asada but today they didnt have pollo asado :(The queso tacos are good but I don’t know if they are worth the extra cost. If you order your tacos«con todo»(with everything) they come with quacamole, salsa, onion, and cilantro. They put a lot of quac so just be aware of that. You can easily modify what you want on your taco. They have a salsa bar so you can order your tacos without it and add it your self they have 3 different kinds including a mild one. Be careful when you order it can get a little pricy. Today we order 9 tacos, 1 queso taco, and 1 can soda and it was $ 23.38. The service is hit and miss. One time it was really slow and today it was ok but the girl that was on the floor helping the customer kept forgetting our cups water and the limes but, it was not that bad. Overal I recommend this palce.

OMG! It is the BEST tacos I ever had in the States! The pulled porks are done so well and the sources are so tasty and aromatic! What a feast for taste buds! The waitresses were also so nice and kind, and they gave me samples of their Jamaica and horchata drinks. We ended up getting horchata. So good to go with the tacos. Will come over for the tacos again when I come to San Diego!

If you haven’t been here or are considering going, just do it! We’ve been here twice now and I have forgotten to take pictures both times, probably because the tacos look so good that I can’t help myself! As other reviews have said, the birria quesatacos are a MUST! Their birria is probably the best thing you can order here in my opinion. The carnitas is pretty good, but doesn’t compare to the birria. I will say that the tacos are on the small side, but the taste makes up for it. The two types of salsa I tried were both really spicy and really good. I love spicy and they went perfectly with the tacos. It was the orange-ish colored one and the lighter red one. Definitely give this place a try, it is no where near as crowded as tacos el gordo and it has what they’re missing– carnitas & birria! If they stayed open later I’d be here more often!

My boyfriend was craving for tacos, so I suggested this place even though it was so far! I wasn’t that hungry so I just ordered 2 adobada tacos«con todo» which comes with guacamole, salsa, onion, and cilantro. My boyfriend got 2 adobada tacos, 1 asada taco, and 1 adobada mulita. We also ordered a jamaica and a horchata to wash everything down… We grabbed a table and checked out the salsa bar while waiting for our food to be ready. It only took about 5 minutes and I liked how the tacos are wrapped in a cone-shaped form. The adobada tacos comes with two tortillas and were okay and very greasy. I actually liked the asada one better and the mulita was really good too. If you don’t want to cross the border and are in the area, this taco shop is worth a try.

This is our 7th time here and we keep coming back for more!!! I’ve tried all the tacos here and non of them have left me down! It’s just like eating tacos in Tijuana but the best part is that there’s no border wait after our meal! Asada, Carnitas, Birria and Adobada are the Tacos that I’ve tried. All of them are delicious! If you haven’t tried them please do!!!

Yoooooooooooooo I’m pretty sure 3 visits in a week is worth leaving a review. Glad I stumbled on this spot. Tacos are fire. I prefer these tacos over tacos el gordo. Carne asada =9 Birria= 10 Pollo Asado= 8.5 Salsa= 7(only cause I’m used to eating habanero and Serrano and it’s hard to find a good salsa with a nice kick to it) I really want to go back, but I’m not trying to be the fattest, loyal customer, just yet. Ya feel me?

Taqueria Revolucion is now my new favorite taco place. Like Tacos El Gordo, the storefront looks like any other fast food joint, but as you know, the inside is what you came for. The tacos here come out cutely wrapped for maximum portability. I immediately started ingesting the taco and ended up eating some paper along the way. That’s how excited I was. The tortillas come perfectly soft with a little bit of crisp from the grill. All tacos come decked out with salsa, guac, onions, and cilantro(con todo). I had the carnitas, birria(lamb), and adobada($ 1.95 each). That also happens to be the order I liked it. Hubs got the same thing but with cheese($ 2.85 each). Note that the cheese comes melted at the bottom of the taco. It’s not sprinkled on top of the taco. The carnitas was by far the best carnitas I’ve ever had. Lots of carnitas places now dry out the meat, but this one was perfectly moist and tender. Plus, with all the toppings, you got some flavor and texture variety in your taco. The birria was also very good and similar to the carnitas in texture and juiciness. The birria was phenomenal with the addition of cheese, probably because that’s not a flavor profile you taste often. The adobada was the only disappointment, since it was my most anticipated taco. The meat was fine, but a little lukewarm from the coldness of the salsa. I would want to try this one again. We also took home a carne asada and adobada burrito($ 6+), which was packed with meat. I don’t think there was much of anything else in there– rice, beans, salsa, or guac. It was nice to see a place so generous with meat, and the burrito was delicious. Plus, you can customize your burrito to include a mix of meats. The staff was so nice. They hooked us up with some free lamb soup(consome de birria), which was so good and comforting. Ample parking in the lot. We came during off hours so not sure how busy they get during meals.

All I can say is move over Tacos El Gordo, cause there is a new taco sheriff in town and it’s called Taqueria Revolucion!!! Who new this hidden gem by the border could be sooooo GOOD!!! There’s not much I could say other than that this place is freaking amazing. The place was packed when we walked in and I thought we would have to take it to go. But sure enough a table opened up and we snagged it. I think the hardest part was trying to decide on what to get. I couldn’t decide on which taco to try, so when in doubt just try them all LOL. I had the asada taco, adobada taco, pollo adobado, carnitas taco(my fav of the bunch), and the queso pollo adobado taco. Each one had its own unique taste. No matter how full I was I wanted more. Also I had a nice refreshing Jamaica drink. You can’t go wrong with this place and I’m sure whatever taco you try it will leave you satisfied.

This is on top of my go-to list for authentic tacos! We have tried several taco places and still trying out new places but this will always be the one I will compare it to. I have tried all of their meats and to me, adobada and birria are the standouts! Consume is really flavorful as well. I’ve searched high and low for the best adobada in San Diego and this place just blows the rest away. Servers are friendly and overall cleanliness is really good. This place is a must visit and I can’t wait to go again!

The best tacos you can get w/o going to Mexico!!! OMG this place is AMAZING. I think I can eat their tacos everyday if I can. My friend recommended this place and it totally lived up the hype. We came in around 1130AM on Saturday Morning. It wasn’t busy just yet because by the time we left, it got busy! We ordered Adobada & Birria… and OMG both were sooooooooooo delicious. Tender meats and the sauce was also perfect. I got an Adobada burrito to go and that was the best burrito I’ve had!!! I will definitely be back soon! Although, it is quite a drive but it is totally worth it.

I blame only myself. Instead of ordering tacos, I ate a burro abodaba. The meat was cooked well and I enjoyed the toppings, but overall, it was nothing special. Although the tortilla was a great consistency and the burrito was an ample portion, the flavor of the pork did not impress me. My horchata was refreshing and had the right amount of sweetness. The establishment was nothing fancy, but service was quick and friendly, and the bathroom was clean. Even though I came during lunch, there was plenty of room available. Due to all the hype, I may come back for some tacos.

Tacos here are SO good. Better than Tacos El Gordo IMO. Carne asada tacos — the meat was super flavorful, with a smoked taste to it. Adobada — tasty, tender, juicy … love at first bite. I ordered 2 tacos and 1 taco with queso. Taco w/queso is an additional 90 cents where they melt cheese on the tortilla and the normal taco fixings on top. It wasn’t super cheesy so I might skip out on that next time. I also ordered a carne asada burrito to go for my friend and she loved it and raved about the delicious meat. Service was really good. I asked for grilled onions and they cooked up some for me. This will definitely be a stop if I am ever in the area.
