Great place for a walk. Easy enough for a 3 year old. Only walked for about an hour but still had loads of fun on our little adventure.

Enjoyed this hike up Cardiac Hill and back down. Also went along Sweetwater river until I came out to civilization. Ended up coming out at Lakeview and Quarry Intersection off of Jamacha Blvd. Walked under the 54E freeway. Lots of rabbits. Not too difficult.

I decided to put Sweetwater Trail under its own catergory instead of putting it under Sweetwater Regional Park although the trails are within the park. We did not go camping in the campgrounds and that is why I decided to add this and ta-da it looks like I am the first person to write a review on it, so I think. HA! I wanted to do something different besides hitting up the gym, so why not go hiking on a beautiful day in sunny San Diego. I had to pick up my youngest sister, so I figured somewhere around that area that was not too long or strenuous would do. I looked at the Afoot & Afield guide and decided on Sweetwater Trail. I would have given it a solid 4 but all the construction around the area kind of killed it. I gave it a low 4 because it was still a pretty good 3 mile walk. But, it was pretty easy… so hardcore hikers I think this would be a piece of cake. We saw horseback riders as well. It also makes a great jogging and biking trail. The resevoir is pretty and once you get to the top of the hill, there is a nice little view.
