It’s Subway — as consistent as McD’s — no matter where you are in the world — all Subways taste the same. Only the attitude behind the counter changed! And these folks were very nice and polite — and it was busy for the today. So all three stars for the folks behind the counter!

Service is okay, portions are the smallest of any subway. I thought it might be the lady that helped so I came back. They have all been trained by franchise owners to skimp you.

Simply put, a badly run Subway. I have been going to this restaurant fairly often(often enough for one of the women to know me by face at least) for a while now, and I do so because it is convenient to my work. I won’t be going there again. I have put up with poorly made sandwiches, slow service, and the restaurant being too warm all the time, but today was enough. Today, when I was picking up my lunch, I asked for an empty plastic salad container because a friend of mine needed something to put her lunch in today, and the cashier said she had to ask the manager, who promptly said no. I said, «Are you kidding? I just bought an expensive foot-long sandwich and 3 cookies, and you won’t give me a little plastic container?» She said no again, and offered me one of the tiny paper soup cups as a consolation prize. I left and will not be going back there again. Congratulations Subway on Balboa Ave. You just lost a regular customer over a 5 cent plastic tray. Great business skills!

I have used this subway for a long time for lunch, the employees are pretty nice. I have never had any of the problems the other reviewers have mentioned and i have eaten here hundreds of times. Im sure everyone has a bad day, but working in a fast food environment I’m sure isn’t the most uplifting job. Give them a break, as long as they make your sandwich correct who care their attitude

More like –5 stars! Horrible! Only white bread available and girl was rude! Messed up my order and charged me double! Morning staff need to be trained on customer service skills.

Customer service by the women who work at this location around 7AM during the weekdays SUCK! I don’t remember her name, I think it was Dwarma or something. She was pretty rude. She exchanged comments back to her manager in «their» language, in which they looked at me and laughed. I then said, «Excuse me. what is her name?»…(Dwarma walked away). The manager introduced herself and asked if I had a problem. I told her I felt that Dwarma seemed rude, unless she was just having an off day. The manager said«Dwarma is always nice.» UHMOBVIOUSLYNOTTOMEIFIMCOMPLAININGINFRONTOFDWARMA!- 1. I asked when the coffee was brewed, and she rolled her eyes and said, «7AM». 2. I asked her to change her gloves after she made my first sandwhich b/c I didn’t want the jalapeño’s she touched on the other sandwhich, in which she rolled her eyes. 3. After ringing up my order she walked away without saying, «Thank you.» it was as if she did NOT want to serve me. And 4. After I was done getting coffee, she decided to brew a new batch. in which I asked, «Is that a new batch you are brewing?» She responded, «Yes.» I said, «Oh okay, I’ll get that instead.». She rudely said«WELLYOUR’E GOINGTOHAVETOWAIT!» Rolled her eyes, said something to the manager, in which they both looked at me and laughed… YEAH. THATSREALLYNICE? I guess the manager thought I wanted my meal for free. She asked, «What do you want?» I replied, «Nothing, just make sure she adjusts her attitude next time.» Not sure if she was having an off day or whatever, but whenever I go to this subway, the WOMEN who work the morning shift seriously act like they have a stick up their A__, Just sayin! The men who work here during the evenings– super friendly and nice. In fact, they always give me extra meat and veggies without any additional charge!.. I forgot to add, they always give me a free cookie too.

I come here for breakfast and dinner a lot and I always get a great sandwich. Usually quiet and very clean environment. Counter people can be indifferent but who cares. Their ingredients are fresh and my meals are very tasty. Coffee is fresh in the AM. Parking can be a challenge at lunch time but off-peak hours easy to find parking and get back on the road. I recommend 4 stars for this location.

Alright customer service … But if u want ur sandwich full and pack with anything in it … Forget it … U would be able to close ur sub and not even see anything in it … If u wanna see a magic trick come here … If u want to lose weight the Jerry way … Come here … U can lose it twice as fast since u won’t even get a full sandwich …

I love Subway, way better than that Quiznos(bleh), but if you like Quiznos all power to you. I have recently switched up my sandwich choice, and now I’m exploring into the BLT and Black Forest Ham world. I used to be forever and ever be a Meatball or Spicy Italian kind of guy, but it became so 2000 and late. I have recently got into tuna, I used to not like it, but I want to give it a try now and I’ve never had it at Subway. And I’m way into the omega bread, it’s so healthy for you!!! Keepin it really fresh at SYU! pom pom

Well, Subway is Subway as far as the food goes. I like this location simply because of the dudes that work there. They are nice and courteous.

I actually like going to this Subway. I’ve visited this Subway a three times and each time I’ve received the normal Subway experience. Sandwich — veggies that were fine and portioned. My favorite part about this location is that it’s next to the 24 Hour Fitness and it’s open fairly late. So after a workout I know there’ll be a place to refuel that’s decent and affordable.

5… 5-Dollar… 5 Dollar Foot Loooooong. Just be glad I’m not actually SINGING this song because I am tone deaf. I went here before our final classroom session at OE upstairs and all I can say is WOW I’ve never been so disappointed in a subway. The two people working the counter were inattentive, the sandwich had ingredients that were far from fresh, and on top of that the sandwich was skimpy on everything, moreso than usual! I ordered their Buffalo Chicken $ 5 foot long just for kicks and was deeply disappointed. I guess since it was near closing, they were low on all the veggies which meant half portions on everything. I can understand that eternal struggle with how to put the cheese, I can understand skimping on meat since it’s all portion controlled, but veggies!!! I usually am able to get some substance of veggies and here, there was not one single bite that had a full layer of all veggies! After all is said and done, I spent the whole time in class squirming because my stomach was kicking my ass at eating what seemed to be a spoiled sandwich. I know that Subway isn’t always the greatest but seriously, I’d never suggest anyone go here. Especially when there’s an Albertson’s across the street.

Weird parking lot. No soap in the bathroom dispenser. Asked for a toasted sub and they microwaved it. Bread was rubbery and hard to chew after that.
