Great food, bad service It’s 8:45 and I(a mall employee) want to get some dinner before my overnight shift. Doors are open and its 15 until 9. Three of us walk in and guy who cleaning everything says they are closed. Denys all of our money for the business because they want to get off work asap. Then, denys a fourth customer. Way to abide by what your business says about your store hours. «We ran out of bread». No, you refused to make any, because that was your key in order to make more food, and I wanted a salad anyway. They acted as if they didn’t care either when I was clearly annoyed, nothing was done to make it better, they actually chuckled at me as I walked out. I work hard at this mall and stay open for my customers, it would be nice to get the same respect, especially when your supposed to be open. My break was scheduled at this time so, it would have been nice to get some non greasy food before closing. Very frustrating. Came in 15 before closing, takes two minutes to make a salad. Sorry you couldn’t throw some lettuce and dressing together for me, took my money elsewhere.

I frequent Stone Oven for 10 years now. I’ve been to Valencia, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, and Northridge. I don’t like their sides so I always get bread. Not once have I ever had an issue until today at this location. I was told that the owner of this establishment does not allow bread as a side. I find this to be very poor customer service and I will not be returning to this particular stone oven

Super friendly staff with good recommendations. The bread is delicious and then dill potato salad is awesome. Quick and easy, but doesn’t taste like fast food! I recommend the tuna melt with cheddar…

Such a good sandwich place, I always get the chicken pesto sand which, haven’t really tried anything else. You can get it with pasta salad or cold salad. Definitely a reliable healthy and tasty option.

Mine and husbands 1st time trying. We were so happy to get such FRESH food at a food court in a mall. Being vegetarians of course we got the garden vegetable sandwich on the foccacia bread(that is hand made right there and out of the oven fresh for your sandwich. The bread is so good I think k can order just a loaf and eat it by itself! Husbands side was the potato salad very generous portion and good flavor not to mayo-ey and not to sweet like the ready made grocery store ones. I chose the garden salad and I loves the sauce they gave me sun dried tomato something was so yummy with my green crisp salad. Id include a pic but my plate is empty now. Had to go back and order something to bring back to mom. Try it if you like fresh delicious food! The price was decent considering all the freshness of the food. We’ll be back for sure! Thank you for a healthy yummy lunch!

Great variety of options including salads and sandwiches. Very overpriced but since it is in the food court of the mall it can be. I was disappointed but the lack of napkins provided and slow time of service. Probably will not go again despite the fact that the food was enjoyable.

Date of visit: 5÷2÷2015 Stone Oven is great for food court food, but not great when compared to Earl of Sandwich. I’ll still take this over the other options available when going to Fashion Valley, but it just doesn’t compare. I always get the Garlic Basil Chicken Sandwich, no onions with a side of Pesto Pasta Salad(because you can’t get enough basil in life). Since Cam and I were splitting today, I also requested no tomatoes and requested the Tomato Basil Soup as a side. All told, I paid about $ 11. The bread used to be very fluffy and full here, but lately, it’s become flat and not as nice. The seasonings on top are the same, but the texture is different than I remember. I thought that the sandwich was decent, but Cam didn’t like the lettuce they put in(not enough leaf, too much of the tasteless crunchy part). The pasta salad was just okay — I don’t think there’s enough pesto to flavor the pasta. The soup was also just okay — it was a bit watery and the croutons they added dissolved almost immediately. Overall I keep going back to Stone Oven because it’s better than Panda Express. I’ll have to try a different side next time.

This place was good. Reasonable menu and good price for the portions. Its in the fashion valley mall food court and probably has the healthiest full meal options there. The selection at this location was sandwiches and salads. Each made fresh to order in front of you like subway or chipotle. They have this cool oven hence the name right in middle view that they bake their dough on to make their bread. You can see inside the oven and watch the bread being baked. Its a cool concept. Id never heard of it before needing something during my lunch break. Pretty stoked to know this place is right by my office. I’ve definitely already talked highly of it. Ill be back.

This is the best option in Fashion Valley’s food court, and healthy, too. As far as other UnilocalERS saying it’s pricey, it’s really not, when you consider how much food you get. It’s price point is competitive with all the other dining options in the food court. Sandwich creators are always very friendly. That makes a difference in whether or not I’ll return. Good customer service with a smile is always a must :) The garlic basil chicken sandwich is to die for! And their bread is spectacular! They have this stone oven, where you can watch them make their puffy round bread. It’s a step up from your regular pita bread. I don’t know what they’ve added to their signature mayonnaise, but it’s so different, so delicious. A nice change from plain old mayonnaise. Then they build your sandwich on the spot(where you can watch – I love watching my sandwich being made), and then they ask what you’d like to add(not like Subway, classier :)). The garlic basil chicken sandwich is FILLED with a lot of meat, something I judge a good sandwich by. If all you can taste on your sandwich are the condiments, then it’s not a good sandwich. You bite into your sandwich, and chicken is the thing that stands out. I like that in a sandwich. The avocados are always fresh sliced avocadoes, and not an avocado spread, which I detest. Your sandwich comes with 3 choices: side salad(with delicious house dressing), macaroni salad, or a bag of chips. I always choose the salad because it’s so good. I also have to note that one order can satisfy 2 people. The sandwich and salad shared is wonderful. A good, solid sandwich shop. I love it!

Stone Oven is always good no matter which franchise you go to(in my experiences). I got the BBQ chicken sandwich with potato salad and water. Such a good hearty meal for a good price at fashion valley! Everything is good and I usually select one of the select options instead of customizing it

One of the healthier options at Fashion Valley and at a good price! Can never go wrong with a garlic and basil chicken sandwich, esp with the avocado spread: d Garden salad is pretty good too and I don’t even like salads! I think they pair it with thousand island dressing, so that’s always tasty. Foccacia bread is always soft and yummy!

The only place I hadn’t yet tried in this food court, I was lured in by the«gourmet sandwiches and salads» slogan. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken salad. It came with some of their fresh baked bread which I thought was a little too sweet, and not savory enough. And holy moly the croutons are spicy! But the greens were ok with arugula & other stuff. Not just iceberg lettuce. The chicken tasted like it was frozen, not surprising for mall food. The dressing was good, and they put it on the side. Overall not bad. But definitely only eats while shopping, wouldn’t go out of my way for it. It did its job by making me not hungry.

My go to restaurant whenever I shop at fashion! Great quality and quantity of food for the $! Always love me some tuna sandwich with a side of potato salad but I when I do get adventurous and order a chicken sandwich or something I’ve not been disappointed — highly recommend

This is probably your best option if you decide to eat at the food court… Not to mention, they offer 10% off your purchase if you’re a mall employee. It’s healthy, delicious, but it is a tad pricey. I ordered a garlic and basil chicken sandwich and instead of salad or bread, I got a bag of chips. Also, I got a drink, and it all totaled to around $ 10 – 11. There tends to be a little wait, but I think it’s worth it considering the other food court places will give you the same trouble. The workers are nice and the food is a pretty good sized portion. I’m sure this place could expand its menu in order to turn into a restaurant. Something along the lines of Tender Greens or True Foods Chicken, or even Panera and Corner Bakery.

Recently, I made way over to Stone Oven. The service was good. No line. The guy at the counter was friendly and made my dish quickly. Now how was my dish? Not too good! I ordered the Walnut Chicken Salad and attached a pic. The chicken was cold. It was pulled out from a refrigerator and wrapped in foil before being dumped into my salad. The green stuff tasted like it was right out of a 99 Cent bag from the grocery store. It came with dressing that tasted like the dressing you find in the 99 cent bag at the grocery store. However, the bread was delicious! I hate eating a meal and realizing that I overpaid for bad food. That is exactly how I felt eating Stone Oven. To sum it up, I had delicious bread with a tiny bland salad for $ 9 at a food court. I could do better. Only reason I gave Stone Oven three stars is because i received my food quickly and the guy at the counter was nice.

Amazing bow beef brisket! And quick service despite the poker face employees loool, they should at least put some effort and engage in a tiny conversation, and act a bit less angry when you ask them for a lid

Great lunch spot with fresh food options at Fashion Valley Mall. My husband had the tuna melt sandwich. He said it was awesome! The portion was decent and he had trouble finishing all of it. I had the Southwest Chicken Caesar salad and it was ok. There wasn’t enough of the black bean, tomato and parsley garnish. It shouldn’t be garnish. It should be a bigger part of the salad. I loved that it had avocado on top. Everything on the menu is $ 7.95, which didn’t seem reasonable for the salad I ordered. We would eat there again though.

OMG! Seriously?! How is this a place in a food court!?? It’s so damn good! Their fresh baked bread is not normal!!! I order a couple sides of it and literally just eat little pieces of bread and if I’m feeling extra chunky I dip it into one of the different Aioli sauces you can choose from… but honestly just the bread alone is to die for! I usually get the Goat Cheese Chicken Salad. If I’m sharing with a friend we usually will get one of those salads and also the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. You get to pick a side… and the Potato Salad is a must have… it’s the best side option that they offer. I will sometimes get the pasta salad. but it really pales in comparison to the Potato Salad. I really can’t say much more about this place… it is just so delicious you really just have to trust me when I say, EATHERE!
