This review is for the short haired female barista. I went in today to try the new summer drinks that I had seen. I didn’t realize that they were only available after 3pm. So I went in at 250 and asked for one and the guy taking my order politely said he had to ask if he could make it now. So he turned and asked her. She rudely told him no and then gave me a snarky look. I asked if I could just pay for it then and wait until three he was about to answer when she rudely interrupted and told me to wait until three or order something else. I was shocked. I would’ve driven to the Starbucks about a mile away but I was on my way to work. So I sat and waited 5 minutes at this point until it was three. When I got back to order my drink the original guy apologized for her attitude which was nice. That lady on the other hand obviously doesn’t understand customer service. I’m not saying she should’ve ignored the time. But she should’ve at least been nice to the customer and her co workers. I didn’t see her smile once. Bad day or not you work in the service industry at least act nice.

Not very friendly environment. Charged me for my star reward redeem coffee, found out later… because of machine problem. Went there couple times, just not as good as the other locations.

This location consistently closes early. Sure, they’ll leave the lights on, but you walk up to that door and it’s locked tight. Don’t waste your time or app money here, go to Convoy.

I’m not a Starbucks person. I used to work at one, but that’s not the point. I’m a Peet’s or mom and pop coffee person, but this morning on my way to work I realized I forgot my blueberries for my oatmeal. I know, lame first world problem. I get it. Don’t judge. I pulled off the freeway and just headed in one direction hoping I would hit a Starbucks, and what do you know… I did! I got a decaf(I know, sigh) soy latte with my blueberries just for shits and giggles and the barista there really made a good one. Great foam. Can’t comment on speed or anything else because it was 5:30am and not a lot was going on. Faith in Starbucks restored? Eh… maybe.

Not bad! They were fast & professional. My venti java chip frap was PERFECT. Not a normal thing at most Starbucks. They have drive thru too which is always a plus. Took only 3 mins to get my drink and I was in n out! Good job afternoon crew!

I will be honest, I like Starbucks but it is not my favorite spot for coffee. Having said that this location is pretty nice. It is usually busy whether you are in at 6:30 in the morning or noon. The great thing is the drinks are consistently good and service is fast. They have a great system so you are not waiting long at all for your drink. The only problem is parking can be quite difficult especially at lunch time.

This Starbucks is close to my work so I go here 5 times a week. All of the baristas are the friendliest I have ever seen. Keep up the good work.

Basic Starbucks, the guy running the register, he’s pretty feminine, he wanted to charge you for everything possible, like oh I want caramel drizzle in there, «you know it’s an extra so I’ll charge you», sick bro, your like the number one Starbucks employee that barely makes minimum wage charging for caramel. He rushes you when you order. Place is the worse out of the ones in San Diego. Got boxes in the customer area too smh

I’ve been to plenty Starbucks, but this one by far has the best baristas. The drinks are always amazing, and sometimes with a dash of a lil extra without asking. What more can you expect? I’ve tried Starbucks in my area in other areas and this one never lets me down. What better way to start an morning or evening at that at this location Starbucks. Seriously, I’ve been to the original in Seattle and this one reminds me of it because of taste and presentation. I love this Starbucks and it’s conveniently close to work. I always recommend this Starbucks to anyone nearby or afar. Come get your Joe on the go or enjoy your drink in.

The thing I love about all Starbucks is they have clean bathrooms that all can use. In addition if you come late enough you can take advantage of the pre-read newspapers instead of buying your own fresh copy. The morning bun rocks. The first time I had one was when my bf surprised me with one while I was in target and starving. It’s so much more fulfilling then a drink. My favorite thing I love about Starbucks is their collection of snacks. Pete’s came to town and they can’t compare. I have used all of my coveted Starbucks gift cards on snacks. This particular Starbucks was nice. I used the bathroom. I sat on the stool, read the newspaper and ate the morning bun. This is a very small Starbucks, kind of cramped, but it worked. There we brought our own, but there were newspapers lying around.

One of the better Starbucks I’ve been to… Drinks are consistently good, and the service is great. My only complaint would be the seating situation — this place is constantly packed and sometimes there can be a wait if you want to sit and hang out. The only other thing(that isn’t Starbucks’ fault) is that the parking in this center is ridiculously terrible. The spaces are tiny and you end up seeing a lot of people getting doors dinged — probably better off parking on the street(Clairemont Mesa).

This Starbucks is always busy, but the staff are always nice and on top of their service. People in Del Mar love their coffee that’s for sure! But the nice couches outside make this Starbucks different from everywhere else

This is the best Starbucks in the county! I am always sad on the weekends because it’s not as close to me from home as it is from work. The staff makes the effort to know your name, ask how you are doing and always remembers your drink order. The establishment is always clean and the drinks are made perfectly! I wish this was my neighborhood Starbucks!

This Starbucks is pretty close to where I work, and I recently stopped in for the limited-time«Frappuccino Happy Hour»(ends May 10) from 3 – 5 p.m. I came around 3:20 p.m., and I guess a lot of other people had the same idea because the coffee shop wasn’t empty(as I expected it would be), but yet, it wasn’t super crowded, either. Rather, people was trickling in and out and there was a steady stream of customers. I was tempted to try the new«S’Mores» Frappuccino, but since I’m not the hugest fan of marshmallow(and whipped cream), I decided to play it safe and just stick to my frapp usual — «Double Chocolaty Chip Crème,» but I added a special element to my drink — one of those chocolate pirouline-like straws. Apparently, these cookie straws have been a recent option, and a friend first told me about it a week ago. Since the frapps were half-off for Happy Hour, I got a grande size(I usually only stick with the tall), and I added the cookie straw and the limited-edition«Frappuccino Cookie» to my order as well. I had been eying those cookies for some time; they’re just so cute! Normally I don’t get edible cookies from here(unless I’m really craving something), but this treat was just too good to pass up. My order didn’t take too long to get ready, and though seating at this coffee store is rather limited, it was empty enough that I could snag one of the tables for two. This was a great stop on my way home from work and I’m glad I got to partake in the Happy Hour specials … I only treat myself to frapps from SB once in a while, so I felt even better, knowing that I paid a discounted price! Here’s what I got: «Frappuccino Cookie»: This buttery sugar cookie is shaped like a Frappuccino and they’re available specifically for this Happy Hour event that started at the beginning of May. I usually go for chocolate chip cookie options(rather than sugar cookies), but on this particular day, the sugar cookie hit the spot. It wasn’t overly sweet, but I enjoyed the taste because there was a sufficient amount of frosting on top. Plus, the décor(shaped like a Frappuccino) made it really cute and it paired nicely with my chocolate drink(and was great for a photo op as well). «Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino»: This is my go-to when it comes to frapps because I don’t think it has caffeine and it sports my favorite flavor — chocolate. The drink features a creamy blend of rich mocha-flavored sauce, chocolate chips, milk and ice, topped with a mocha drizzle and sweetened whipped cream. I customized my order by getting soy milk and no whipped cream. Sometimes, the baristas blend my drink too quickly and I get a lot of ice chunks at the end, but thankfully, this guy blended my drink really well — it was really smooth and creamy, just the way I like it. I enjoyed the occasional crunch from the chocolate chips, and I added a little more chocolate powder to my drink once it was done, just for kicks. This drink is light and definitely one of my favorites. «Cookie Straw»: I’m not sure if this is a permanent part of the menu or just a limited-time thing, but if you haven’t gotten your drink with one of these cookie straws … it’s worth it! My drink was already chocolaty, but it got an extra sweet taste when I was drinking it with the cookie straw. These edible straws seriously do taste like those chocolate wafer pirouline cookies. Plus, drinking the Frapp is even more fun with these cookies … who doesn’t like an edible straw for some extra crunch, texture and chocolaty taste?

Absolutely love this starbucks and the people working here! It might be because a couple of them remember my typical order when I come in… The employees are incredibly friendly! They’re pretty quick with their orders which is great when you stop by in the morning before work, however that’s also one of the busiest times, if not the busiest, to come in for coffee. If you do, definitely give yourself about an extra ten minutes so you won’t be late for work!

Five stars because of the barista Erin! Starbucks is lucky to have an employee like her. Erin is friendly and outgoing, she makes it a point to know her customers and that to me is what sets this Starbucks apart. My coworker came in to get our work some coffee and when I got my drink there was a message written on the cup from Erin, it made my day. This Starbucks can have a long line earlier in the day but the baristas are fast and efficient, you’ll be out of there in no time. My drinks always are made to my liking. No complaints here!

Close to the pad, so it’s convenient for me. Just hanging out here, enjoying my beverage while I set up my new iPhone 6. It’s chill here, free wifi, nice day. Perfect

Gotta have my cup of java! Nice location. The staff is always super friendly. For some reason, I think this is a smaller location. However if it is nice outside they have a large outdoor seating area. Starbucks parking lot is a little weird to enter and exit due to a median in the road. However if you know about it you can plan to enter the parking lot from Clairemont Mesa instead of near the YMCA side. Note.the restrooms are also clean here.

I came in craving a frap on a warm day. Luckily I came in on a weekday at 2p and there was barely a wait. There was ample parking and only 1 person ahead of me. I remember a while back I came here and the parking lot was crazy so didn’t even bother to come inside. I ordered a non-fat skinny cookie crumble frap. The gentleman who made my drink made it well. Didn’t taste like a non-fat drink! The staff and service were friendly. The setup of the store is a little weird and cramped and not a lot of space if you’re wanted to study or hold a meeting here. There are a lot of businesses in the area, so I can see why this Starbucks gets packed.

Well, apparently the entire city of San Diego had the same idea that I did and invaded this particular Starbucks for a little salvation from the extreme heat today. Seriously, as I sit here and type, there must be at least 55 or 60 people packed in here like sardines. There is a really nice communal table dotted with laptops and cords, but I was lucky enough to grab a table in the corner… score! You can tell this Starbucks was really put together to accommodate the surrounding businesses and they have power outlets directly under all the booth seating. Other than that, it’s a Starbucks. Same product, same prices, same level of customer service but the volume of customers that they are serving is mind-blowing! Seriously, «can I get a fat free, sugar free, extra hot, triple shot organic soy latte and please go really light on the foam, bro?» You baristas are saints, I tell ya! Shhhhhhh… quiet people, I’m trying to work here! Don’t y’all have jobs?! Kidding, I see your important key cards hanging from your belt — much more official than me.
