This Starbucks is a lot smaller than the ones I usually go to. Plus, half the time the staff are quick and other times your waiting in line for 20 minutes wondering why they have only one person making the drinks. What really made me upset one Time was that I like to ring in my orders separately on my card, and the girl wasn’t paying attention; and rang them on one bill. And I usually have to repeat my order a few more times before they get it

I love this Starbucks, my fiancé and I come here nearly everyday. The staff knows us by name and are always super friendly. However, I wish some of the newer members were more attentive to our drink orders. I usually only order an iced coffee with vanilla and on numerous occasions the sweetener is missing from my drink and it’s usually too late to go back and have them add it in. Everyone is great otherwise, just some helpful feedback :)

This store has improved a good deal since my last review. The manager David is exceptional because he is thoughtful as are the longtime staff members such as Margarita. The lines are much more efficient now and they will actually put non fat milk in my coffee so I don’t have to ask for a carafe. The only improvements needed are a refreshing sore makeover of lighter paint and better lighting everywhere, the card and phone scanners, registers and wifi. The new Starbucks at the Headquarters near seaport village has new registers, scanners and wifi and you can notice the difference.

Let me start by saying I am not a Starbucks fan. Bad coffee, stupid processed snacks, and the bananas are ALWAYS unripe. However there is something about this Starbucks that actually makes me happy. I think it’s the workers. I am a proud citizen of Golden Hill and I appreciate that at least our Starbucks has at least a little bit of the feeling of a neighborhood coffee shop. Thanks for always being so friendly guys :)

Worst service ever by Robert. When asked if he could make something from a list he just rolls his eyes and throws his hands up. After giving my order to someone else he still makes my drink and forgets Carmel just throws it on top and calls it a day. Horrible service.

Starbucks… what can be said that hasn’t been said already? Almost hate to admit it but I do love your coffee. Its always consist and your barristas are always so fast! You never burn my milk and the coffee itself never taste burnt or water down. I try to go to mom and pop shops to support the little guys but all the ones I’ve tried to go to always end up ruining my morning coffee at some point. The holiest and most sacred of beverages! Nothing starts your day off worst then a bad cup of joe. Okay! Fine! I’ll admit it! I’m a starbucks girl!!! Mmmmm Iced Americano with one honey and an 1″ of soy… thanks for the perfect cup of coffee every morning and your Smoked Gouda and Bacon Breakfast Sandwich! *le drool*

So lucky to have this Starbucks in the neighborhood. Love going there in the morning before work. The people that work here are really nice and friendly. David always says hello(and knows most people’s names!) and goodbye as you exit. Jeff is super-efficient at making drinks, and Margarite always greets you with a warm and friendly smile.

I like this Starbucks location quite a bit. Nothing in particular, just consistent fast friendly service. Coffee is keeping me going some days… so I love anybody that gives me coffee. with a smile.

A small Starbucks but there’s usually a seat available outside. Service is a bit slow(but I’ve never had to wait more than ten minutes) and I’m not in a rush so I don’t care. The service is always friendly and the cappuccino never disappoints.

I absolutely adore this place, and for those of you not in the know, this is the cultural mecca of the South Park/Golden Hills area. Many come here for coffee, but this humble establishment is so much more. You can find an assortment of pastries, sandwiches, and other delectable indulgences that will send your mouth into a foodgasm. Nomnomnom. And as a plus, you can find all the cultured people here, doing cultured things within their respective fields of the arts, while enjoying scrumptious delights whilst listening to Michael Buble CD. It’s easy to lose track of time, when you find yourself immersed in the culture and coffee synonymous with this location; truly, a one of a kind experience. Let’s not forget what this place is famous for. Something so good, it should be illegal. Yes, I’m talking about the Frappuccino. The caramel«frappé» is my absolute favorite, and one will be pressed to find something to this caliber. The sheer genius involved in creating this masterpiece is unfathomable. It’s an iced coffee beverage with a symphony of flavors that will bring you to your knees, and for many a tear to their eye. The caramel is sweet, and the whip cream so whipped. How they get the ice is so evenly crushed is beyond me, while giving the right amount of whip cream is astonishing. They really should patent what they have going on here. Like myself, many people come here for coffee and such, but they end up leaving satiated, and a bit more cultivated. It’s the Parisian experience that most try to create, but sadly cannot duplicate. Pro Tip: Come early on Saturdays, the farmers market can bring in huge crowds. You’re welcome.

Pretty standard Starbucks. Music is a bit too loud for easy reading but overall the ambience is nice. Service is average, not overly friendly.

Today, I felt like a bagel. I happen to be vegan. I asked the girl if their plain bagels were vegan since it varies in different regions. The girl abruptly said«I don’t know.» So I asked if anyone knew and she abruptly said«no.» Honestly, if you work somewhere that is located in a yuppie part of town and veganism is pretty popular, know your shit.

Yes! Starbucks in San Diego is just as expensive as anywhere els in the country. The WIFI was free though… I spent many mornings loitering at Starbucks because we didn’t have internet where I was staying.

Typical Starbucks. Poor maintenance of gutter trash and City trash bin overflowing with their products. They need to sweep the whole radius every shift. The workers will get to know you and your drink if you go often enough. Don’t expect an inside table, they will all be taken up with«laptop lifers». If it is cold or raining you should go to Rebecca’s. In fact, you might want to be going there anyway.

When I asked why I was given a fork instead of a spoon with my oatmeal, they said they didn’t have any more. What kind of Starbucks runs out of spoons? The manager really needs to do a better job with inventorying the supplies. And who eats oatmeal with a fork? Maybe I’m just suppose to drink it out of the cup like a hobo?

It’s Starbucks, I mean, what can you really say? Well, a lot. I frequent this Starbucks more than any other in SD since it’s the location of the multiple afternoon coffee breaks my co-workers and I take each week. Baristas are always sweet and helpful and they tolerate me being indecisive about what I want before I inevitably order an iced or brewed coffee. I have to say, I have a special place in my heart for this location – it’s given my co-workers and I many an opportunity to laugh, reenergize, and enjoy some mid-day sunshine away from the office. So thank you, Golden Hill Starbucks, for being a friend. Your heart is true, you’re a pal and a confidant.

This a very nice neighborhood Starbucks in the heart of Golden Hill. I stopped in after visiting a friend nearby to grab an Americano and a everything bagel. I noticed while I was there, a lot of the employees know a lot of the repeat customers by name. I thought that was very cool. My Americano was great as usual. It definitely delivered the kick that I needed while tasting great. The bagel came with a medium toast and a couple of pads of some very good Irish butter.( ) Since the bagel came toasty, the butter immediately melted on the bagels.( ) The bagels were very good with a good chewy texture. The service I received was well mannered and friendly. This location has some very good seating outside.( )

My update on this Starbucks is long overdue and they have earned this fifth star. The staff recently wrestled the corporate giant that ties them down and went to bat for me and I greatly appreciate it. I was a black coffee only guy for many moons but then kicked the habit and moved onto decaf hot tea. For months they had a slew of great teas but I think I personally wiped them out of their supply. For a few weeks it was constant apologies telling me that they were really low on everything and that my favorites in particular had run dry. «We promise, we’ve ordered but the Starbucks ordering system sucks when it comes to the stuff we don’t burn through quickly.» I don’t doubt it! Well, as I walked into my local«bucks» last night a collective smile graced the fine faces of the late night staff. «Brad, your favorites are back.» Thanks guys. Pro tip: Order the passion hot tea and ask for the agave nectar. If they look at you in confusion just tell them it is the stuff they use for the blueberry oatmeal. Add, stir, enjoy. You’re welcome.
