Starbucks

The drive thru line here is the worst. Every time I come here it takes 20 minutes plus to get anything. It’s a little closer then the other locations so I always attempt it first but consistently they are awful!

I go to this Starbucks all the time. The staff is so friendly and they are always quick. Also, there was one time when I had a crazy morning and I came to the drive thru and then realized I had forgotten my wallet and so I got up to the window to tell them and they gave me a coffee anyways.

I live in the area, so I frequent this Starbucks. However, I don’t know if I can come here anymore. I am sick and tired of them messing up on my beverages. Too many times have I gone through the drive thru and been on my way down Balboa when I realized they have messed up my beverage. Many times have I stopped at the Starbucks at the bottom of the hill on Balboa for that Starbucks to fix this Starbucks’ mistake. I don’t order anything difficult. I usually order a Black Tea Lemonade and often they FORGET THE LEMONADE!!!
There is absolutely zero lemonade in the Black Tea Lemonade I have sitting in front of me. My roommate picked up this current beverage for me. She told me that when she got it she asked the cashier why it was so dark and clarified that it was a Black Tea Lemonade. The sticker on the side says Black Tea Lemonade and the cashier confirmed, however it is not!
They have forgot the lemonade in my Black Tea Lemonade before. They have also given me medium roast coffee instead of dark roast… etc.
I’M TIRED OF THEM MESSING UP MY ORDER. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE.

Bad service, bad attitude, don’t know what they are doing. Read the other 1 star reviews on here and you will see, this is not a good branch. These people ALL need to be properly trained. I’ve never been to another Starbucks where the service was at this low of a level. Most are good, but this one is flat out terrible.

This Starbucks had rude employees that can’t ever get my coffee right. I don’t want fancy coffee, I just want iced coffee with cream and MELTED sugar, none of that syrup crap. Apparently this is too hard. The employee today wanted to put hot water in my coffee to melt the sugar? I don’t know how you can make all these fancy drinks but can’t grasp the concept of melted sugar on a simple iced coffee. I go through this every time. I just done understand. For future reference tell your employees if someone wants MELTED sugar in their iced coffee to 1. put sugar in the cup. 2 place a splash of hot coffee in and give it a swirl. 3. Continue making iced coffee as usual. simple enough.

I avoid Starbucks at all costs. (have high expectations for espresso) But this one is different. It’s just a wonderful, friendly attentive place with happy employees who care, regulars who smile and are patient, and your order never screwed up or bumped back. Unlike many Starbucks stores where you have to pay attention otherwise…
It gets interesting when the schools let the kids out (2:30/3:30), it turns into a mad-​house. There are kids in every nook and corner, sitting on each other’s head, throwing tennis balls and apples across the store while the employees try to stay sane, and of course they always do. This Starbucks is truly more than the sum of its parts, it’s the spirit of this otherwise soulless, busy intersection.

My got to before shopping in Claremont. Staff is great supper friendly and they always greet me with a smile. Got to love them and they always cater to my coffee mixtures love these guys! Thankyou for starting my mad trips right.

I’ve been going to this Starbucks for a while as it is right by work. Everyone there is always nice and the manager, Noell, is just incredible. She’s always warm and friendly.

I made a quick stop at this Starbucks for some regular oatmeal with brown sugar, mixed nuts, and dried berries, and raisins. For my morning kick, I had a Grande Café Misto made from a medium roast.
After letting the oatmeal sit for a couple of minutes in its container I added the packaged goods. I like this part because it allows one to control the amount of brown sugar that goes into the oatmeal. After I mix all the ingredients, I gave it a go, the oatmeal was quite good. The hot did what it was suppose to do and cooked the oatmeal well, the mix nuts were crunchy and tasty, and dried berries and raisins were sweet with a bit of a chew.
The café misto was very good. The hot steamed milk gave the coffee a mild creaminess and made the Pike Place Coffee smooth body even smoother. One thing I like about café misto is that it’s prepared with hot coffee on hot milk, so you get one hot coffee.
Service okay. I thought the girl at the counter was a little impatient and could of been a little friendlier, but the girl at the order pick up counter was just grand.

This location has VERY crappy customer service. Employees that I hace encountered on drive thru are rude and from their tone of voice, seem like they hate their job. Replace these people with some upbeat baristas who smile more!

Every time I go here, I always receive impeccable service by all of the baristas, and it’s literally the most convenient place to go to before and after school. Only tip I have for everyone: Go before 2:07pm. It gets crowded after school.

Love this place. Great location, great size. Usually always a great atmosphere for studying, hanging out or just stopping to get a cup of joe.

Danny the manager or supervisor gave me fabulous service today! My Starbucks card wasn’t working correctly (embarrassing) and she totally fixed the situation & gave great service! Everyone was very nice and my drink is delicious! Thanks for great customer service!

Baristas are GREAT here! They are always friendly & you can count on them to make sure you get what you want even if they have to make it ‘special order’
Example:
I ordered a ²⁄₃ decaf ¹⁄₃ regular then realized it was going to be Pikes place brew; I really dislike Pikes. I mentioned it to the clerk taking my money & before I knew it the barista had overheard the clerk talking to me & began making me an Americano! Thank you awesome barista!

One of the places with the fastest internet speeds (25Mbps) compared to its other Starbucks locations. Get your coffee, labtops, and AC while the heat is on during the Summer. Service is very efficient and people are very friendly.
Unfortunately, the men’s restroom gets pretty disgusting as there are homeless people coming in and out. Or that someone had explosive diarrhea and no one wanted to deal with it for that one instance.

Always fast and efficient. The Coffee is up to corporate standards and the line moves fast so I’m in!

I really like this Starbucks. Every time I come there’s plenty of seating, the bathrooms are always clean and I always get great service. They have a lot of the merchandise in stock and I can always find a cup here that may be sold out at the other locations. My drinks are always well blended and not too strong, which is good because I hate returning drinks. I also never have to wait too long which is good because it’s always a constant stream of people. I will definitely continue to come here.

This Starbucks is a great place to come and study! It can get a bit cold in here, especially when the door is not shut all the way.
The employees are friendly. One night when I was there studying, an employee approached me and said they were going to start a deep cleaning of the store but they would start on the other side first so they did not bother me. She nicely asked me if I would mind moving if I was there by the time they made their way over to the end of the store I was sitting at. Very considerate!
The only reason I don’t give this place a 5 is because one of the employees did not really care about the request of the customer. I needed to buy 4 gift cards all purchased on separate charges, which I had informed her about prior to the purchase. As I walked out, I looked down at the receipt and noticed she did it in one charge. I walked back in and asked her to please return them all and recharge the card in the original way I requested. She said it would take her a long time and asked me if it was necessary. It ended in me walking out of the store unhappy. I ended up coming in the next day to study and asked the gentleman working if he would mind helping me. He said he will work on it and could bring it to my table when he was done. He fixed it in less than 2 minutes and brought the receipts over to my table.
This was the first and last time I purchase anything from this location, but I will still come to study when needed!

Nearly the most difficult to access location I’ve ever seen. Basically unless you happen to be driving from the one ideal direction you have to take a u-​turn and tons of backtracking to make it there.
Anyway. Once we made it there I must say the employees are friendly as ever. The only other thing that stuck me as odd was that their drive thru window was built for a monster truck. They don’t have a handheld scanner so rather than scanning your phone in your hand they have to take it from you into the window and give it back to you. Yes I know it sounds weird and meticulous but you never know what might happen once they’re handling it.
The coffee was up to par compared to all of my other Starbucks experiences though so aside from the poor location and construction they get the job done. :)
