Even after reading all the great reviews about Lincoln I was still a little nervous. Us girls with curly hair have had many bad hair experiences! But this was fabulous. Lincoln not only cut my hair really well he also educated me on how to do it for myself. He didn’t push any products on me and made it a really positive experience. I never knew how much I didn’t know! I would highly recommend him and will definitely use him again.

ATTENTION CURLY HAIR CLIENTS…
I have very curly, naturally curly, hair… and a lot of it. No one in San Diego knows how to cut my hair, except for Lincoln. He is equal parts artist, educator, and professional. He understands the structure of various curl types. He understands how to work with ‘the life’ of different curl types… how the curls lay, their movement, their hydration requirements, their frizz factors and how to control them. Lincoln pays attention to his client’s concerns and needs. He understands many professionals do not know how to work with curly hair, and will calm your fears about getting a curly haircut, while he educates you through the process. (Anyone with curly hair knows what I’m referring to!) This review is long overdue. I just can’t recommend or rave about Lincoln enough. If only Unilocal allowed more stars ************

Lincoln know his stuff… before going to him I dreaded doing my little girls hair. I am Hispanic and my ex is mixed African American and german so our daughter inherited that kinky wild hair. She had her first appointment on 11 dec and it was definitely very informative. After leaving his salon I feel more comfortable handling my child’s hair and I don’t hear ouch from my baby anymore. It is now a more pleasant experience which allows both my daughter and I to bond during her hair sessions :) thanks Lincoln

Lincoln is the best stylist I’ve ever had! I have been going to Lincoln for 3 years now. I have curly-​wavy hair and am very lazy when it comes to my hair. I like to let it air dry and never want to style it. Lincoln is trained in Ouidad techniques for curly hair and he is so good that my hair looks great without having to style it myself. With other stylists, this wasn’t the case.
Last week, I decided I wanted a trendier, shoulder length a-​line cut (angled to be longer in the front, shorter in the back). Lincoln did such a great job — it is exactly what I was looking for! He really understands hair and works very hard to please his clients. Not only is he great at his job, but he’s a great person and fun and easy to talk to.
Would recommend to anyone!

If you have curly hair you MUST go see Lincoln! He isn’t just a stylist he is an artist! Thank you Lincoln, my hair has never felt so good and I have never felt better about my hair! I have been coming to this salon ever since I moved to San Diego about 3 years ago and have not been to another since. I absolutely love my stylist Lincoln. He’s personable, friendly, and EXTREMELY talented.
It’s usually very difficult to find a stylist that you love that you want to continue coming back to, but when you do find that right one, hold onto them for dear life! Salon 2802 has since moved locations to One Dot Salon closer to Hillcrest off of 5^th Avenue. Lincoln is sincerely a fantastic hair stylist as every time I come up with new color ideas or haircut styles I want to try, he takes his knowledge and technique and melds it with your stylistic views to come up with a phenomenal end-​product. He makes the experience enjoyable not only by explaining the techniques in which he will be implementing on your hair to achieve the style that you want, but you also can talk to him about anything. It’s like a freakin therapy session in one hair appointment!
I will continue to see him at the salon, for his skill is unmatched!

I have naturally curly hair (think Shirley Temple curls) compliments of my middle eastern heritage. Most stylists do not know what to do with hair this curly.
Lincoln had many suggestions for keeping the frizz out of my hair. The cut is great. The conditioner he recommended is also wonderful. I have been using it for years now.
I was never a fan of putting product in my hair, but Lincoln was able to find one that did not leave my hair with that hard-​to-​the-​touch feel.
When I was younger, I used to keep my hair cut short because I couldn’t stand the frizzy look. Now I can wear my natural curls with pride.
His shop is very clean. There is always candy and snacks to nibble on while he is doing his magic.
Lincoln also uses a computerized database system to keep track of his clients. He has copious notes from previous appointments, so he knows exactly when my last visit was and what was done to my hair.
The on-​line appointment system is also something unheard of with most hair salons. Plus, he sends me a reminder SMS message to my iPhone when my appointment is approaching.
This is a great place to get your hair done!

Well, I lost my beloved and prized hairstylist, Gina, to Arizona.
With all the chemicals and process you go thru to color hair, my hair was always shinny, silky and NOT DRY.
dang Gina???
so I have spent the last TWO years, painfully looking for another color specialist. Finding a good hairstylist is like finding a good mechanic.
I went to several.
One burnt my hair w/​chemicals, so I had to get it cut. Do you know what that does to a girl???
One got it right the first time. & that was the last time she got it right.
One was not so bad. Very swank place in La Jolla. until I got my bill: $ 360.00 for color, cut & blow dry. Are you kidding? I thought it was a joke at 1^st, until the front desk girl asked me: «How much would you like to add to the tip»??? Are you kidding??? I asked her what was proper etiquette on tipping here, she replied «20%». Thats $ 72 dollars. I mean, I liked my hair stylist & the job she did, but not for an additional $ 72. My anus was still sore from the bill!
So to make a Short story Longer, I discovered this salon from a neighbor. I loved her hair and she told me she has been going here for 22yrs. & that if I went there I’d never go anywhere else.
I’ve heard that from EVERY person recommending a salon.
My neighbor was right. This place is one of those FANTASTIC «Thank God» discoveries. I’ve been there twice already and will be the only place I’ll be going to. VERY reasonably priced. I asked the stylist for highlights in addition to having my roots. He said NO, & that it was too soon. I so appreciated his honesty. & hey, he didn’t even charge me for the extra deep conditioning & blow dry/​styling.
Although there are other hairstylists there ask for «Lincoln».
His work is Amazing.
