Rolando’s Taco Shop

Food was ok but got all the way back to the office and they charged me for a burrito I did not receive. They then tried to tell me they «knew it was in the bag when I left». I am a lot of things but a liar is not of them.

Rolando’s Taco Shop is where the old Roberto’s Taco shop is on Convoy. And just the same, they’re not the best Mexican food place in San Diego. Sure, they’re open late, but I think it was a mistake for me to eat here.
After a night at PB bar and grill, we wanted some hot korean tofu soup — sadly, it closed at 2AM (we were there at 1:50, sigh). Instead of driving back down to Vallartas, we just opted for Rolando’s instead. I ordered a steak and egg burrito while my other friends order different items. Service was slow (especially considering how we were the only ones there!) And the food was just meh. Even drunk, it wasn’t delicious. I can only imagine what it’d taste like sober…
They also have a 50 cent surcharge on any items if you use a credit card.

Don’t be scared away by the lack of customers. Best Mexican food I have had in the area.
