Not too shabby! I work close by so I’ve been here a few times, I recommend it. The customer service is good, I like that the condiments are never empty or even running low. Clean areas to eat. They are also pretty quick with their service. Prices are decent averaging $ 6.50 a plate or so. Their menu is pretty small though, but the food is good. For me the portions are a good size, if you’re ever craving teriyaki or something similar this is worth a try!

Whenever I come this area, I feel like there is no good asian place to eat. But I think I found the place. I got beef&pork plate today. Both of meat was tender but I really enjoyed the salad. extra, extra dressing pls. and they just add sushi in their menu so they were sampling sushi and I tried spicy chili roll and crunchy roll. After I tried sushi sample, I wish I ordered sushi. I guess next time. I will definitely come back to get some sushi.

Went to rice an roll recently, and I had their half and half bowl of beef and chicken. I was surprised when sauce was in the side, however that’s best… the beef was nice And tender the chicken was full of flavor and. It came with rice and green onion. they have bowls and plates. Choice of beef, pork, and chicken also salmon and katsu. There food was refreshing and will be going back soon… costumer service was very genuine …

It would be wiser to eat Waba Grill or Chipotle. The portions here are smaller and the chicken was dry and bland. If you don’t use all of the sauce, it will be difficult to finish your meal. Pros: No charge for brown rice and slightly cheaper than other places. Cons: No flavor to food, chicken is dry, and smaller portions than other places.

I dont think ive ever had a bad rice bowl until today. I order a half pork and half beef plate. The tasted like bland slightly spicy mystery meat. The texture was weird. The beef was flavorless without the teriyaki sauce. Their quality of rice was good and the orange was sweet. The cabbage salad not bad but nothing to rave about. They said they were going to add sushi rolls in the future. I might come back to try it, but definitely never eating their rice plate again.

Great bowls and friendly service. We were even brought a free sample of the cabbage salad. Would come back when in the area.

sad to see rice king close but thought I’d try this place. service took a while even though this place was dead, bit pricey for what it is, and wasn’t impressed with the food. if your looking for a better bowl then this do to bowls to go only a mile down the road

For those who think Asian food means Chinese, Japanese, or Thai – Rice N Roll is a great introduction to a distinctive cuisine characterized by spiciness and a unique brand of Bowls. Menu features bowl platters and other tantalizing items. Excellent service by Paola and team.

Came here for the first time today and had the chicken bowl. Interestingly it came with no sauce but there was tons of teriyaki sauce available at the counter. In a way, that is better than the bowl coming with some amount of sauce because someone’s always going to think there’s too much or too little with the latter. As for the contents, the chicken had a very soft, «just cooked» texture. It didn’t taste off or anything, just different in a good way compared to bowls that I’ve had at other similar places. Some veggies would be good though(there were none). In short, I’d come back if I was in the area.

I was surprised to see that the Rice King off of Miramar Road had closed, and that in it’s place was going to be a new fast casual place called Rice N Roll. I decided to check it out yesterday after it had been open a couple of days. While I was expecting another quick Chinese/Japanese place like Panda Express, Rice N Roll is more along the lines of Flame Broiler and Waba Grill — grilled beef, chicken, and veggies served on bowls or plates. The menu is a bit more limited here; you have options of beef, chicken, veggies, or a combination of two of these… and that’s it. I decided to try a half & half bowl of beef and chicken over brown rice($ 7.99) — while I was going to pay the price for a combo bowl which came with a drink, since it was their opening week, I got a large drink for free. For the most part, my order wasn’t that bad; the beef and chicken were cooked fresh, though a bit on the dry side(nothing some teriyaki sauce couldn’t fix). Needed some veggies, though… Still, not too bad a start for Rice N Roll — but despite the name, no rolls of any kind on the menu!
